This park is 32 miles from the East entrance to Yellowstone and is fine if you can not find reservations anywhere else. Only water and electric at sites but they do have a dump station. It was very woodsy behind the campground and grassy at the sites. The mosquitoes were horrible and we fought them for 2 nights in our motor home, which is why we left the campground. They make great pizza's, coffee, and espresso. The owners are wonderful and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really liked this park. We used it as a base for Yellowstone. It was very reasonable, and the lake was very picturesque. The only drawback, was there was no sewer, but we see this more often than not, at all state parks. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Sites are fairly level, and the park is kept clean. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great view of lake and surrounding mountains. Just a short distance to West Yellowstone and about half the price of the KOA down the street. Park was nearly full every night so I would recommend early reservations. The mosquitoes are thick, but they cannot do much about that. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful setting, however, there don't forget the mosquito repellent and do not let your dogs or kids swim in the lake (leaches!) The best thing about this campground is the wonderful hiking trails. We saw a mother moose and two babies off of a trail. Lots of waterfowl. The prairie dogs own the campground as there are alot of holes. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nicely spaced sites, friendly staff, very clean. Excellent wildlife viewing, nature trail. WiFi is only 20 minutes per day unless purchasing more, then we were shorted a day with no way to contact provider. Leash rules are not enforced. The boat ramp next to the campground was very noisy (motor powered boat wash), and started at 5-7am even though quiet hours supposed to go til 7am. No help from staff to stop the noise. The laundry and a great cafe are located 2 miles away: awesome, huge sourdough pancakes. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice campground, with great views of mountains and lake. There are walking trails along lake and marsh area where we saw mama moose and baby resting in marsh. Roads are paved and sites gravel-no dust. Sites are large and we had 50 amp service. The main drawback is that we had were very high winds, making it difficult to sit outside, as it was also cool. If winds died down, we then had problems with mosquitoes. However, we would come here again. There is great fishing in the area and boating on the lake. There is a boat launch at the campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful location with spectacular views in every direction. Large sites, some with water and electric, some with just elec. Dump station is near the park entrance. Friendly helpful park staff, couldn't have been nicer. No problems with satellite reception since there are no really large trees. Cellphone and aircard reception good also. The entire parks road system is paved so there's no dust blowing around. The mosquitoes were a hassle but not as bad as they could have been. The park has a boat ramp and a very large parking lot for boat trailers. Our site was pretty level and we didn't have to mess with blocks. There are a number of day trips you can take, one being Mesa Falls to the southeast. Macks Inn to the south has a dinner theater with 2 different plays alternating every other night. Gas/mini markets are close by. This is a very peaceful park and we'll stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Only 20 miles from West Yellowstone, but one of the most inexpensive and best parks in the area. We liked the quiet and the great places to walk your dog (including a dog walk in the park, but the road to Henry's Lake is 1 mile and great for dogs). The forest across the street is a great place to view wildflowers in June/July. Dust was NOT bad here as stated by another reviewer in. We stay here every summer and love it. They have special monthly or seasonal rates that make this an inexpensive spot to stay in one of the most beautiful areas of our country. A few of the spots are cramped, but most are spacious. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Absolutely spectacular setting on Henry's Lake. Our campsite had a wonderful view of the lake and the marsh which was full of water fowl. The campground is very open with one loop having electricity and water and the other loop offering only electrical. There is a nice paved trail along the marsh which is dog friendly. Most of the folks staying here were serious fishermen and women. We only stayed here one night, but would come back and stay longer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

If there is a prettier location for a campground anywhere we haven't found it yet! You are surrounded by mountains and look down on a beautiful lake. Plus, in 20 minutes you can be in Yellowstone National Park! The sites are large and there is plenty of space between sites. Our site, 17, is at the head of a loop and we have an unobstructed view to the lake and mountains. Henry's lake is renown for fishing, but no one I talked to here (last week of August 2007) has caught more than 1 or 2 fish all week. We would definitely come back here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful campground and the fishing was great. Son caught a 10+ lb trout and couldn't have wished for more! The campground was friendly yet quite. The lake was beautiful and the hiking trails were very nice. Lots of wildlife. Close to Yellowstone - was a great base camp for doing YS and still being able to come back and get alot of fishing in. Shouldn't even tell you about it - the secret might get out! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This CG provides a nice alternative to camping in Yellowstone. The West entrance is only 15 miles away. The sites are situated on an open hillside overlooking Henry's Lake. There is no shade to speak of and most sites require much leveling. The CG is quiet and is an excellent location for fisherman. Only 26 sites have W&E. The rest are small sites suited mostly for tents. Half of the sites are reservable during the summer season. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is located on Henry's lake. The park rents docks and there is a boat launch ramp. The pull through sites are dirt and are not level. I was able to level my motorhome ok with the levelers. The 50 amp power was ok at between 106 and 110 volts. Water pressure was a little low at about 40 lbs. I was able to get satellite tv with a remote dish. This park is a low cost alternative to the much higher priced West Yellowstone RV parks. This park is about 16 miles from West Yellowstone. The WIFI worked 5 out of the 7 days we stayed here. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The only two things we didn't like about our stay was the weather and the side by side hook-ups. This caused the driver's side to be pretty close to your neighbor. Parking to the far right can help. The owners and the host campers were very friendly and helpful. Our beautiful view was blocked by only clouds and rain. The restrooms were always neat and clean. Owners stated that the campers who were asked to leave because of flooded bathrooms were caused by their kids removing shower heads and having a water fight. No TV or phone, very quiet. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Set in a beautiful caldera surrounded by mountain vistas, this is a serene RV park setting. The hosts provided detailed information on local attractions. It is the most pet friendly park we've visited with a 6 acre run. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Campground is owned by non campers and it shows. The spaces are large but residents show no respect and walk right through the spaces. Dog rules are ignored and noisy dogs and the smell of dog pee was annoying. The office kept no regular hours so checking for mail or packages was tedious. It is reasonably priced for parks in the Yellowstone area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We actually had made better time on our trip and called to see if we could get in two days early. We were told we could and ended up arriving after the office had closed. The camp hosts were there to greet us and helped get us on to a temporary spot until our reserved spot came available. We were thrilled. We were near the dog walk for our dog and had the most wonderful new neighbors. The camp hosts were always available to answer any of our questions. We were provided with maps to all the local attractions and given the best advice for Yellowstone Park, Grand Teton Park and Jackson Hole. When our reserved space was available, the camp hosts made sure we were moved and settled. I haven't seen cleaner facilities anywhere. We have been very pleased and will be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

First off we choose this campground due to its quiet and beautiful western views. We were told this campground was family and kid friendly and on such short notice of booking we were very excited to find what seemed to be perfect. Our site was exactly as promised! The view was BEAUTIFUL. Mountains and valleys as far as the eye could see. We were surprise to find out the campground itself was NOT kid friendly: yes, they accept kids, but there were a ton of rules. Playground was very very small. Not the amenities we were told about by the owner on the phone. Golf carts and 4 wheelers were allowed which is fine, however seemed constant and did get a bit annoying. One night as we approached the campground we noticed a HUGE enclosed storage trailer RIGHT in front of our camper, totally blocking our beautiful view and taking up a large portion of our site. We asked why this was and were told they sometimes use extra space as overflow parking. We explained that it was obstructing the view we paid for and the trailer was on our site. They said "they would see what they could do." Again we were not told this and would not have choose that more expensive "premium" site had we known it may have been used for that purpose. Also the men's showers have a drain issue, if you take longer then a 5 minute shower chances are it will start to flood the restroom. We were blamed for the restroom flooding one evening and told if we did not clean the restroom ourselves we would have to leave. Needless to say, we cleaned the restroom and left, 4 days early. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground, with its beautiful sites and view, was VERY unfriendly and generally seemed to be a retirement type atmosphere more than any other during our vacation in Yellowstone area. They have minimal area for the children to play. There was more for pets than kids. The area was clean, but the people staying there were intolerant of any 'shenanigans'.(especially by children) They promised a full hook up, which they did not have available. Then parked another campers equipment on our site, blocking our view of the mountains. Unfortunate, but probably the worst of our stays was here, and we promptly left and went to the KOA where the price was higher, but worth it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. Loved that it was off the main road and away from the crowds of Island Park. It was only 10 minutes from W.Yellowstone (w/no construction), which made it a great base camp. There was a nice walking path around the campground for pets and just a short hike over the hill to Henry's Lake. The ONLY bad thing we experienced was the gigantic mosquitoes! Take your bug spray! The big thing this park has going for it is the setting. It sits in a sage meadow surrounded by beautiful mountains. So, that’s hard to beat. We were welcomed at check in and told repeatedly “Anything you need, just ask!” Later, when we asked at the office for the one thing we needed and their website offered, the response at the office was “NO!” The situation was remedied, but there’s definitely a disconnect. The setting is usually quiet, but many guests bring their ATVs along, so that can be a bit annoying. We paid for a premium spot with a gorgeous view, only to have overflow rigs and vehicles park and be stored in the way, making our high-dollar spot less than premium. As others have mentioned, sites are tight on one side. Ours was so tight we heard the sound effects while our neighbors watched movies. We came here knowing there is no cable or AT&T reception. Satellite worked fine and we could get AT&T 3G a half-mile or so away. The owners have made an honorable effort to provide Wi-Fi, but it was slow and out of service for awhile during our stay. With many seasonal and long-term residents, the laundry room is always busy and obviously too small. It would help to have it open in the evening. Price reflects a monthly rate, which at $700/mo is a bit steep. But, apparently, that’s the price you pay for being 20 miles outside West Yellowstone in the Summer. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Red Rock for a week and did not find any of the problems the previous reviewer mentioned. We found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful. We had friends joining us who were late due to rig problems and the staff worked diligently to accommodate them. We had no noise, campfire or dog problems. We will recommend this park to all our full-time RVing friends. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Red Rock RV advertises itself as peaceful and quiet with big signs as you drive in advertising just that, which is why we picked this spot in the first place. The park has a lot of ATV’s and motorcycles so quiet does not happen all the time! There are fire rings here which are not a welcomed site at any RV park as the smoke always finds its way into your RV! I was told they allow any type of dog in this park as long as it is controlled. Park has too many dogs! This was the first RV park since we have been full timing for over a year now that seemed a little unfriendly to both my wife and me. That doesn’t really bother us but it is the first time in an RV park where no one seemed very friendly. We were kept up until 3am in the morning one night by our neighbors drinking and partying all night! I was charged $34 a day or about $900 a month, which seems very high compared to other parks about 10 miles away that charges half that rate for the same hook-ups for a month. You won't find a prettier location for an RV park, or nicer people running a park than this one. It is located five miles off the highway in a green valley surrounded by mountains so it is peaceful and beautiful. The sites in the center are tight with not much view and all roads are dirt which means lots of dust. Because the park is only open for six months during the summer, reservations are definitely recommended; the sooner the better. The rates are the best in the area. The laundry dryers were inefficient and caused us to use a nearby laundromat. We were disappointed with the Internet which was fair, but considering the location, you are lucky to get any at all. Cell phone service is also limited. There is lots to do here besides going into West Yellowstone, about 20 miles away. We will definitely be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It's an older park, not all sites are for big rigs. Many sites are very close together. The employees of the park are very friendly, not so much with the owners. They do fill up during the summer, so if you want a specific site you need to make your reservations early. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for the summer of 2010. We had an absolute great time and will do it again sometime. The owners and the hosts went out of their way to provide everything you may need for your site and or the facilities. They provided you with maps or suggestions on self tours of the area. The WiFi was free and it did reach our site with no problems. It was limited to so many megabits per day until 11pm. If you want to relax and have a quiet nights sleep, this is the place to do it. We stayed two weeks and used it as a base to explore Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. It is located 22 miles west of West Yellowstone and is perhaps not the most convenient location to town-side amenities, but the trade off is worth it: We really appreciated the relative solitude here, as well as the very clear nights. We heard that an amateur astronomy comes stays at Red Rock for this reason. Elevation is somewhere near 8,000 feet. The fellow who owns it cares about the peace and quiet, and he asks people not to show up after dark. We liked his attitude and obvious attention to maintenance. The price was good too, and we will return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Multiple Wi-Fi access points with fast DSL providing the access. Very personable and helpful front desk staff. Side by side hookups through out the park for us are not ideal. I would definitely recommend this park over any of those in West Yellowstone. We found the drive to the west entrance easy. I'll definitely stay here again if I return to visit Yellowstone and will avoid the West Yellowstone RV parks completely. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We called ahead to stay here. When we arrived it was way off the beaten path and not close to anything: nothing what we wanted. When we told them we did not want to stay they proceeded to charge us for 2 nights for both spaces. At no time did they indicate you must pay for your entire stay if you change your mind! This is our third visit to this pretty park. The people are very friendly; the views are magnificent; the whole place is spotless. What else could you ask for? It's five miles off Hwy 20 on a good paved road and it's so so quiet and peaceful. The laundry is well equipped and very clean as are all the facilities. This RV park is in the great outdoors. It is well off the beaten path. The interior roads are basically dirt, with very little gravel. The sites are somewhat difficult to maneuver into and the roads are narrow, necessitating people to move their trucks and cars to allow big rigs to depart. It was dry and very dusty during my stay. If you have problems with breathing or sensitive eyes (like me), you WILL NOT have a good camping experience. AT&T wireless is useless in the campground, no signal strength. It is quiet at night. I would not have stayed if the dust problem had been known. I will NOT stay here again. The work campers and staff are wonderful and helpful. But the owner is somewhat pompous and opinionated. He talks "down" to people. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you are looking to visit the beauty of the eastern Idaho and West Yellowstone area along with Yellowstone NP in peace and quite then you have found your destination. This RV park is a little off the beaten path (by only 5 miles but easy to get to) and that is why this place is a gem. Forests, mountains, grassy plains, wild flowers, lake access and wildlife in every direction! If you enjoy the great outdoors then this place is for you - if you are a city tender foot - remember, this is the "outdoors" (and I don't mean a campground off the interstate) and not an environmentally controlled, allergen free biosphere. Campfires here are fantastic - crystal clear nights, very bright stars, and comfortably cool/cold temps. Sites are level and easy to navigate (for competent drivers) and the exceptional staff escorts everyone to their sites and assists them per locations of hookups. Go for a super site and you get a LARGE lawn area, plenty of car/truck parking room, "level" picnic table, and your own fire pit! Owner and staff are as knowledgeable about the surrounding wilderness areas and sites to see as they are about the campground itself. Wi-Fi is reliable and Verizon works just fine, but then again, come here for the scenery, tranquility, and friendly campers. I have been here three weeks in a 39-foot fifth-wheel and will be here until they close for the winter. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Our trip lasted two weeks and this was the best park we encountered. The staff was most helpful and friendly. They escorted us to the site and helped get us parked and situated. They pointed out the local sites and vouched for some of them. It is about 30 minutes to West Yellowstone and the park. There are many fun things to do in Idaho that are close to the campground. The campground is about four or five miles off of the main road, it was quiet; the other campers were well behaved. They have a nice dog walk, and they are near a large reservoir. Near dusk each night out near the main road, the moose come by to graze. They aren’t the least bit afraid of the visitors as long as you stay on your side of the fence. What a wonderful site. You bet we would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent park. A lot of the sites have beautiful lawns alongside, with picnic tables and firepits. Very friendly workcampers run the park in the summer months. This park is 5 miles off the Interstate, so it's wonderfully quiet. I would have given it a 10 except that they do not have cable TV. If you have a site close to the office like we did, the signal is very strong. Many people spend the entire summer here, as it's only 15 miles from Yellowstone National Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place was the perfect place for us. If you want to camp off the beaten path, under the stars, with a campfire, have plenty of room for spreading out, with sweeping views of mountains and Henry's lake; This is the place. The hosts and workers went out of their way to help in every aspect of our stay including parking our large rig. They made sure we had a map with things to do, places to see, and not to be missed places to eat. It is only a short 20 minute drive from West Yellowstone entrance. We saw moose nearly every night grazing on fireweed a short 2 mile drive from the campground. This is the perfect place for big riggers that need the hook-ups, but still want to feel like camping and want a view. You do share a power pole and water spigot with a neighbor but each site had a large grass front yard. We drove the entire Yellowstone area, and we thought this was the best bet for a good camping experience at Yellowstone. Shhhh it's quiet here! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Really nice park in a quiet, isolated area (see previous comments). Be sure to have a reservation going in -or you're wasting 10 miles RT- since many sites are taken by long-termers. People here seemed very cheerful and friendly, from the hosts to the campers. Workcamper does a great job of guiding you into your site, which will be very close to the neighbor sharing the hookups. But the other side may have 20 yards of grassy space. Water quality is excellent. Laundry and bathrooms small but clean. Wifi was inconsistent; they are at end of local DSL line, so be glad it's "free". NO cable or antenna tv reception, and cell phone reception was tricky. But if you want a beautiful, quiet backwoods place, this is it. Check park website for lower off-season rates. Your dog will want to stay forever- you'll never find another park with more room for them to roam. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We noticed that previous reviews were up in the 8s,9s, and 10s. We felt as the last reviewer said that it was too tight and not a very comfortable park. Maybe it was the site we were in; at the far reaches of the park and small. Shared hookups put the next door neighbor very close. The car parking was marginal. The only problem with this park is it is tight. The spaces are close and the turns are tight. It is secluded, quiet and has friendly staff. WIFI is marginal. Buy your groceries, etc. before you go, the nearest grocery is several miles away and it is very small. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a good experience! This park is located about 5 miles off of Highway 20 near Henry's Lake. For this trip it served as our base for exploring Yellowstone (less than thirty minutes away from the West entrance of Yellowstone). We love the peace and quiet. We reserved two nights and extended our stay for three additional nights. This park is well staffed with amazing helpful and friendly hosts. I have never been to a park where the staff guides every single rig onto their pad and assists with the hookups (they also guide you off of your pad when leaving). The host that helped us park loaned us a step that is his own personal property because our bottom step was a little high for our older dog. This is a very popular park - we have talked to several repeat campers. Because we extended our stay we were relocated to a site closer to the office and discovered that the WiFi really does work - don't count on it if you are not located in the immediate vicinity of the office. We look forward to coming back in about ten years when the trees will offer some shade - but we will certainly be back before then. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our third visit to this park in two summers, and we find this "off the beaten path" location very much to our liking. Located just 22 miles from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park, many of the guests use the park as a staging area for that and other nearby sights. Although used by some who enjoy ATV's, the majority of the visitors here seem to be area tourists, fishermen, and those who enjoy a little solitude. It should be noted that this has been a very dry summer, so some dust can be expected on the interior and surrounding roads. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, using their ATV's to guide every guest to specific spaces and to keep the park maintained. There is no cable TV, but a good south view is available to those with satellite dishes. The free WiFi is quite good for a remote location. We would return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were unhappy here and left a day early (no refund available). No TV. No cell phone access. Felt rather crowded in our campsite. Because we don't fish, we had little to do in the immediate area. If you fish and/or ride ATVs, you might like this campground location. The Wifi worked well but were warned by the management against using it much due to limited bandwidth. It was an OK park, nothing special. Isolated and quiet at night. It is in the middle of cow pastures with mountains in the distance. A bit off the main roads and a good distance from Yellowstone. Henry's Lake is a mile down a road with put in facilities for small boats. My complaint is the fact that the park is a mecca for ATV's. The rules keep the speeds down but the roads are dirt and dusty and all the ATV's, including the staff, going back and forth all day long makes it difficult to sit outside. The wind is usually strong so you are frequently breathing dust. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It's a really nice park - strong and fast wifi, helpful and friendly hosts, quiet and scenic. Most of the park is gravel/dirt so it can be dusty. The park rules say you will be blocked from wifi if you hog the bandwidth and they forbid voip. The way the sites are laid out may not please everyone, although you have a large open space on your curb side. The utilities are fine, 50 amp available. They require a sealed sewer connection. Some sites around the perimeter have great views. There are a lot of sites occupied by campers who stay for the whole season. The park is popular and busy, nearly full every night. Make a reservation. If you cant get in there are plenty of other parks along Highway 20. Be sure to visit the Mesa Falls near Ashton, along with Yellowstone and the Tetons. Also the drive up Highway 191 along the Galatin River is really spectacular and the turns are gentle so you can drive a big rig on that route. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Delightful experience, especially if you have dogs...best dog run we've experienced plus acres of running ground all around. Great base camp for exploring in all four directions including Yellowstone. WiFi worked instantly and clear. Operators are great...guide you in your spot and are very helpful in all ways, including hooking you up. It's a wee bit cramped...much of it laid out as "buddy" spots, side by side with 40-50 feet of grass in between. No television (unless you have your own dish, of course). About 3/4 mile to Henry's Lake, but that's only meaningful if you fish. Lots of rivers and streams in the area. It is a 30 minute ride to the nearest store though a few items on site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park advertised that it is 15 min. from Yellowstone, and it's more like 30. Sites are gravel and ours was full of lumps and potholes. In addition sites are very small, and you will have to have people move their vehicles when you exit. A lot of seasonal residents that did not like the vacationer, and let you know about it. Weeds were growing 3 ft. high out of the fire pit and the code on the mens restroom never worked at night. Our week long stay was very unpleasant and we would never stay there again. There are many more parks closer to Yellowstone that had many more amenities and much nicer grounds. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, close to great fishing. It's a little off the beaten path, but extremely well cared for. They have a number of folks that stay the season, year after year. The sites are easy to get in and out of, and most are level. They have some trees, but the location at our site made for a little back and forth to get the slides free from limbs. I'd definitely recommend the place, but be prepared to drive to find just about anything. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great campground. They guide everyone into their site. Everyone is very friendly. The sites are large and grassy. The Wi-Fi worked great for me all but the last night. Maybe too many users. The main problem for me was no Cingular service. Verizon did come in. You could drive a short distance and get Cingular. The laundry seemed a bit under capacity for the demands. But was very clean. I would stay there again, but for the cell phone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park in a beautiful setting. You cannot beat the views. The sites are side-by-side hooks but there are large yards on the passenger side. Quite inexpensive for this area and Yellowstone is easily accessed. WIFI signal was weak and connectivity was spotty at times. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Redrock is a fantastic campground in the heart of Yellowstone country. I'm an avid fly fisherman and found it difficult where to go each day. Great water in every direction, including 1 mile to Henrys Lake. The campground was very clean, with new gravel pads at each site. The grass area was in great shape and perfect for our dog. While we didn't talk with the staff much, I did find they were very friendly and quite helpful. The sites were relatively large, but you are close to your neighbor for water and sewer needs. This really wasn't an issue, but I do like my space! The wireless internet ran quite well and the signal was strong. I had some connection issues, but I was generally able to get the computer up and going within 10-15 minutes. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The sites are mostly side by side hook-ups, but they are so large that it does not take away from your privacy. The view is wonderful (Lake Henry is less than a mile away) and it is very quiet, especially at night. Red Rock is a great place to relax. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were here for 2 weeks, including a MH group rally for a few days. We liked the park a lot. The owners are hands-on managers. There is good grass and gravel, firepits at each site. Sites are a little uneven in places, and hookups are side-by-side - but the open grassy area between rigs is great! Not a lot for kids to do - walk to the lake; go down the road a mile to rent a horse; swing... but we didn't bring kids, so it was okay. Big rigs fit in nicely; the satellites hooked up easily - no tall trees. No highway noise; no railroads nearby. Lots of people are return visitors. Now, if they could just make the fish bite! The main attraction of this park is the isolation, but relative closeness to some of America's most beautiful landscape. Only 20 miles from West Yellowstone, and 20 miles to the Red Rock Wildlife Refuge. But fishermen enjoy one of the primo trout fishing lakes in the world, only 1 mile down a dirt road from the park. A great walk for your dog if you don't fish. Swans, eagles, hawks, elk, sandhill cranes, herons, pelicans abound! We come here yearly to rest! We camped here in a Motorhome.

First we made reservations for five sites for a family reunion and they were to all be together. When we arrived we were all separated all around the park. We were told they had cable but got three channels that were very static and they said that was normal. We were told they were Good Sam and had signs for Good Sam but on arrival we were told they were no longer Good Sam and gave no discount. They have been doing that for quite a while from what people in the area told us. Attitude of people working there was atrocious and they were very rude. Restrooms were not clean. I would not recommend them to anyone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It looked it could be nice but had severe problems with organization and communication. We arrived at about 9pm. The receptionist was friendly and told us that the cable TV was not working. Also, the WiFi was not yet working. Apparently the park had just been taken over by new ownership. The site was narrow, very unlevel and difficult to get into with out 28' motorhome. Water pressure was very low and we needed to leave on our pump. In the morning we found out the hard way that there was no water in the bath house. Apparently, the water had been all turned off. When my wife asked about this she was treated like some idiot for not knowing water is turned off at that time of year. (Actually is was the only park without water that we encountered in our two week trip!) So, no cable, no water and no discount!! We suggest this park is avoided until the new owner gets his/her act together. We are newbies at RVing. I am embarrased to admit that the sewer hose popped off while dumping at this park. However, given this was by far the worst park on our trip, if it had to happen..... We camped here in a Motorhome.

We came to this area to visit Yellowstone National Park and chose this park (14 miles from the park entrance) based on price and its ability to accommodate our large rig. The pull through sites are approximately 70'x 35', gravel and grass. The interior roads are also gravel and narrow. It was a bit tight pulling into our site given the narrow road. The fact that the site is not angled and the 65' length of our truck and trailer. Many of the sites have an evergreen tree at the right front edge. They are of varying sizes. The larger ones could make turning right out of the site problematic. Fortunately, our tree was small and not an obstacle. Our sewer connection was imbedded in the ground and we could not use our one-piece, screw-on elbow connector. So we had to use a rubber donut, not the best solution. The laundry was great. It had been a while since I found one that high capacity machines to launder bedding and scatter rugs. Wi-Fi was reliable and fast. Charge is $1 per day and worth it! The do not accept any charge cards, only cash or check. We stayed here for 11 days. This is a very basic RV park, nothing fancy. It could use some freshening up: new gravel and grass maintenance. But, it filled our need for an inexpensive stay. The bonus in the area is, of course, the magnificent Yellowstone National Park. Next time, we might choose another RV park in the area. We spent two nights here in order to tour Yellowstone on short lead times. Valley View RV is in a nice location across from Henry's Lake (but still adjacent to the highway, not too noisy but not great). The sites are simple, this isn't a resort. Registration was super quick and they helped is get in our spot. Overall, it was a fine experience. The drive into West Yellowstone was pretty short. Even so, next time, I think we'll try to stay in the park. There's a long drive each evening just to get out of the park. Couple that with roadwork and we had some pretty late evenings getting back to the MH. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate is nightly cost at monthly rate of $400, and the fact that we had to leave a week early. This is a decent location with easy access to Yellowstone National Park. WIFI was available for additional charge, my Verizon broadband via cellphone had very good signal. Mail forwarded to the park is cheerfully delivered to your door! Most sites have sewer at rear of site requiring multiple sewer hose extensions to leave toad attached to Motorhome. Sties are gravel & grass. We had a pleasant stay, though the location was a bit remote for our taste (no normal sized supermarkets, WalMart, and etc. are in reasonable distance). We camped here in a Motorhome.

I echo all other earlier remarks but must say the road noise is bothersome and there are no lights at night in this campground. The showers and restrooms were spotless and had privacy doors on all units. There are gravel roads and pull through sites with nice green grass and picnic tables for each site. The WiFi worked well for us although it did go down a couple of times. The big plus in addition to their location, is the wonderful manager and work camper type staff. All were efficient, very friendly and shared their knowledge of the area with us during our week long stay. The TV reception was abmysmal as we got one HGTV broadcast channel sporadically and nothing else at all via air waves. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Giving this park 7 stars only because the discount rates make it a fair value for the area, certainly better than West Yellowstone. Otherwise, it's not much more than a wide spot on the road, but the road happens to be next to Henry's Lake and on the way to YNP. Sign outside says $25 nightly. Their PA rate is $14.50 , with a 2 night max. Sites are gravel, mostly level, with grass and weeds . Couldn't hook up water filter due to concrete protector. TV antenna gets 2 fuzzy channels plus PBS. Absolutely no shade but it's usually not too hot here. Wi-Fi is another charge but Verizon aircard and cell work fine. Large,locked restrooms not used much. Huge laundromat. No dog run. Need a car to go anywhere. Popular with boats and ATVs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has no amenities, but that wasn't why we were here anyway. Only 14 miles from Yellowstone was the main reason we stayed here. Also very close to Henry's Lake which we could see from our site. We were right on busy Hwy 20 but could not here any road noise while inside our rig. Nice large, clean laundry room but still had to wait for dryers on one occasion. Small convenience store and gas station right next door that also sells fishing licenses. This nondescript park actually has a lot going for it. While with few recreational amenities and certainly not exciting, it has wide spaces with nice grass in between, good gravel, easy access and well placed connections. The first row of sites closest to the highway get a fair amount of truck noise, but even there it is quiet livable. Since we were there over 4th of July weekend, we didn’t get the Passport America rate, but the full rate of only $25 was still a bargain. We will definitely stay here again. Nice spot to tour area and Yellowstone at a good rate. Work campers run hot and cold. Wifi didn't work 5 of the 7 days we were there but they offered a refund. What we want is full hookups with 50 amp service, level sites, and WiFi that works good. This park has all of those. Cable TV would be nice for local news, but satellite worked fine. An okay park, nothing special except for the huge laundry center in the office, and the location close to Henry's Lake and West Yellowstone. Pretty sunset view. Many seasonal residents ($400 mo.), best to call for nightly reservations,especially Passport America. PA get half off, then they add $4 for electric, wifi & tax ($14 rate ), plus there's a $5 key deposit. A good deal for this area, tho a plain park. Sites not level, water wasted daily on weeds, barely TV reception, Verizon cell works, wifi inconsistent but usually strong. Friendly, greasy spoon cafe next door. Park owners were either brusque or nice,depending on the situation. Worth a repeat visit. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park to stay away from all the activity of West Yellowstone but close enough to enjoy it if you want to. 13 miles from West Yellowstone. Be sure and visit Mesa Falls and Big Springs. Mountain views all around. Grass mowed short but needs some trimming. Staff very cordial. PA park. We stayed here a week and would stay here again. We enjoyed our stay here. Verizon worked good! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an unusual combination of laundromat and RV park, but it does have several good points going for it. It is 14 miles from West Yellowstone but costs less than 1/2 the rates of parks in that town. The laundromat is much larger than what one normally finds in a RV park, and in excellent condition. The sites were all pull-throughs and very large. You do have a good view of Henry Lake, but this is not a destination park, but rather a good but inexpensive alternative to other base camps to explore Yellowstone Park. The staff is very friendly and experienced with the local scene. When we come back to the Yellowstone area we will definitely base out of this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
