This park is easily accessed from Exit 23 off Interstate 55 near Edwardsville, IL. Our site was in the back of the campground so we had beautiful views of open fields that will be cornfields later in the season. The site we were in had just enough length for our 29 ft. travel trailer and 20 ft tow vehicle. The site was level and had good thick gravel which proved to be a good thing since serious storms rolled through while we were here. After the storm, a brilliant double rainbow appeared for several minutes. Mud was not an issue after the heavy rain. The WiFi was weak and often not available. The owner explained that the Internet Service Provider restricts band width. Our cellular service was good so we could track the storms and check e-mail on our smart phone. Bathrooms were very clean. Water pressure was decent. Campground was very nicely landscaped and maintained. Had we planned many outdoor activities, we would have found the noise from the interstate bothersome. Inside our trailer, the interstate noise was not an issue. The setting was an interesting contrast. We had views of pastoral green fields and open sky on one side of us and views of the interstate with its buzz of activity on the other side. We didn’t perceive the hosts as being rude. They came out to welcome us as we pulled in, were interested in knowing about us, and shared information about the nearby towns and events. The hosts did not stay in the campground office all day; however, any time we needed to reach them, we could. Our experience was a positive one and we have already made plans to return. For our purpose, this campground is a good overnight stop when we are enroute further west and also a good home base when we go to events just outside of downtown St. Louis. Some sites are pretty near to I-55. We were at the far end of the park and it was cool so the highway was not noticeable with the windows closed. The facilities were very well maintained. Very long level gravel pull-throughs with a grass strip between and a picnic table. The free Wi-Fi worked well and satellite TV setup was easy. A good overnight stop before or after passing through St. Louis. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here overnight and would definitely stay again. Immaculate grounds and the owners were very cordial and helpful. The location is great: being right off of I-55 and three miles from I-270. There is a new shopping and dining area just a few miles west. We liked the dedicated dog area! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I won't stay here again and here's why - The office was unoccupied and locked when we arrived at 2PM; but 2 site packages were available and we settled on one, filled out the registration form, wrote a check and deposited what was required in the provided envelope and put it in the slot in the door. Another coach arrived while we were finishing - he took the other site. - As I finished setting up, a woman came up demanding to know if we had a reservation - I told her my wife had left a message at 10:30 and someone called back an hour later and took information from my wife. This woman came close to accusing my wife and I of lying about calling to reserve a site. Even after showing her the cell phone dialed numbers and received numbers which she acknowledged as theirs. She said she didn't get a call and couldn't understand, etc. Her tone was very hostile and threatening. She said she would have to check further as they ALWAYS greeted their guests, and we were lucky she didn't need the site we selected for that night. It's 5 hours later, she hasn't returned or anything. I'm still upset - she was that bad. Get a confirmation number or something if you need to park here. Very Hostile environment, as far as I'm concerned. We camped here in a Motorhome.

People were very friendly. Sites with no shade. Good pads and grass. Great landscaping. Comfortable atmosphere. Recommend for stay unless you have to have shade, but the cleanliness is great. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were pleasantly surprised with this immaculate little park during our week-long stay. Level, gravel pull through sites and convenient hookups were separated by a small grass strip. Although our site in the rear of the park was not overly large, we had an end site which gave us plenty of room. The park is nicely landscaped with flowers and small trees, and although it has a number of what appear to be long-term residents, their sites are well maintained. The owners were friendly and were quick to ask how our stay was going. Located near an exit on I-55, it was very convenient to St. Louis attractions and shopping in Edwardsville. The only drawback is the drone of the interstate traffic, but it wasn't enough to keep us awake. The owners do not accept credit cards, requiring check or cash only. There aren't many parks in the area, but even if there was, this park would be worth staying at. We'll definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a small RV park located right next to I-55. The owners are very nice and the park is immaculate. There were several long-term people there but still plenty of sites available for short-term campers. Our site was close to the front and was EXTREMELY narrow. Our street side slide covered the sewer hookup which was on a small berm. We had to make the hookup before extending the slide and then flatten the hose a bit while extending the slide so the bottom of the storage compartment wouldn't knock off the sewer hose (it was that close). Our neighbor's picnic table was less than two feet from the slide. On the other side, we were unable to extend our awning because it would hit the slide of the 5th-wheel parked in front of us. In retrospect, we should have requested a site toward the back of the park as these were wider and roomier. Also, the interstate noise was a constant drone and I was never able to tune it out. It was probably not quite as bad toward the back of the park but I definitely did get tired of listening to semi trucks roaring past all night long. We paid the monthly rate but ended up leaving after two weeks due to a death in the family. The owners were gracious and promptly refunded the difference in the rates before we left. I gave the park a 6 rating only because of the interstate noise. If it weren't for that, I'd have rated it higher. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice friendly campground convenient to I-55, and a good base for St Louis (took us about 15 minutes to get there the next morning). Road noise is the main drawback; otherwise sites are fairly spacious and the surroundings pleasant (being last in the row, we had a view of soybean & corn fields). Owner/manager on site and is pleasant & friendly; other campers were friendly too. Very clean facilities. Great for an overnight or a base camp as long as you can block out (or deal with) the road noise from the interstate. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We needed an overnight stop around St. Louis and thought we would try this one. What a delight. Just off the interstate, easy in / out. We arrived at about 7pm on Saturday night, and Connie met us as we pulled in. Check in was easy, and Connie walked us to our site. Sites were level, clean, and there are plenty of signs to direct you how to get in /out. Nice garden spots, nice gazebo, well landscaped. Surprisingly quite for being as close to the highway as it was. Did not see the tomato plants as everyone had spoke of, but I am sure they were there somewhere. The campground is about 25 minutes NE of St. Louis and if you are looking for a nice little campground close to St. Louis and on the same side of town as Gateway Speedway, this is a great choice. good wifi at sites as well. This is a great RV park. The park has some interesting placement of signs and some interesting loops to navigate. I presume they welcome kids, but there is no playground equipment to be seen. The end of our site has tomatoes that will be ripe in a day or two for the picking! The WI-FI works pretty good from inside the unit, mid-way through the park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This rv park has gravel roads and gravel sites. Sites are open with few trees. Water is from a well so washing rv's or filling tanks was not allowed. The laundry room was closed because of drought conditions while we were there. It is located just off a busy interstate so there was a lot of road noise all night. The owners were very friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Had a very pleasant stay here. The only thing holding back a 10 is the fact that they do not accept credit cards, though when I made the reservation, they were kind enough to point that out so I didn't show up empty handed. Courteous staff, the roads and turns are a bit tight, but manageable in my 30' pull-behind. Some road noise, but not really enough to bother you. Will definitely stay here whenever I come back. This is one of the nicest parks we've stayed in. It is tucked in amongst the corn fields and is so green and cozy. The landscaping is beautiful and the owners are constantly working on the park. We had a nice shaded site in the back, newer section. Interstate noise is not a factor in this area. We've used the park several times and each time we see more improvements. The only reason I gave this park a 9 was because of the narrow interior roads for big rigs. Other wise this place rates a 10. Other than that, this is a beautiful park. The grounds are immaculate with flowers, little gardens and young trees. The roads and sites are gravel with grass in between. The bathroom/showers are spotless. The owners are great folks. They are very knowledgeable regarding the local area including St. Louis. Easy access from the freeway. We will definitely stop here again if we are in this area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great park, very clean, and owners are very friendly. Although the park is close to the freeway, it is not excessively loud by any means. Good location to St. Louis (about 1/2 hour drive) with a Wal-Mart Supercenter and other stores/restaurants just a few minutes away. If there were a swimming pool, I would definitely give it at least a 9. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Owner accepts cash/check only. Right next to interstate- steady drone, but also convenient. Easy travel to St. Louis- approx. 1/2 hour to Arch. Otherwise CG was very quiet. Owner smartly spaces out each arriving guest. Bring extra water hose- used every bit of 30' to hook up. Strange layout on the site of hookups (electric, sewer and water seemed to be on opposite ends of site.) Not many activities on site- some long term trailers in the front, but well separated from us. Quaint touches like a garden you are welcome to use (we took lettuce and spinach). Tomato and pepper plants on each site were still growing. The restrooms were some of the cleanest campground restrooms I have seen. Very light occupancy during our stay. An excellent site to stay and see St. Louis. If you are looking for a "back to nature" experience, probably not the place for you. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great park right off the interstate, 23 miles from St Louis. Level gravel roads and sites. Lots of beautiful, well cared for grass. Not much shade though. Owners are very friendly and have lots of information on the area. Very nice, reasonably priced laundry facilities. They are currently installing wireless internet access. We found plenty of wifi access points in Edwardsville, 6 miles west of the campground. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We pulled off of I-55 and found this to be a very nice well kept park. Nice pull-through site with full hook ups. Owner directed us to our site and was very pleasant. Our site had a picnic table, decorative fence, flowers and shrubbery. We would not hesitate to stop again at this park. This is great for easy off and on to I-55. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We liked this campground. We were staying in the St. Louis area and we were there for 3 nights. Very well kept and nicely landscaped. Free firewood. Owners were very friendly and aimed to please. Close to the interstate but didn't really get bothered with the noise. We were in the back part of the park. Some shade, gravel road and sites that were level. Very convenient to St. Louis. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice RV Park located in the Illinois farmlands. It is close to the popular I55/I70/I270 interchange. The park is immaculate and the grounds are well cared for by the owners that live on site. We spent 7 days at the park in July 2005. There is grass, apple trees, planting areas and a get together gazebo. Each site has tomato plants and blackberry bushes that you are encouraged to utilize. There is no swimming pool or other recreation area. The park is about 35 miles from the St. Louis site, all by interstate. This is a very quiet, clean, park. It is located just off exit 23 of I-55 about 35 miles north of the Arch in St. Louis, Mo. The owners live on site and are very friendly and eager to help. Although it is close to the Freeway, the surrounding trees and tall corn nearly hide it from sight and block most of the traffic sounds. The sites are fairly level gravel, and 15 of the 22 sites are 25' X 75'pull-thru's. The rest are 25' X 55" back-ins. Each site has at least one whiskey keg type "garden" planter with tomatoes, green and bell peppers, which the campers are encouraged to harvest and use (real "homey" touch). Although the campground is Family-friendly, and children are welcome,there is no pool and there are no activities/facilities on-site ato keep them occupied; thus the "8" rating instead of a "10". We stayed here two days in June. We camped here in a Motorhome.
