This is a beautifully maintained park. The staff are all especially friendly and helpful and obviously put a lot of care and attention into keeping the park neat. It's a fantastic place to walk around, learn the history, and enjoy the exhibits. On the negative side, the sites are close together, and it is a few miles from any major roads, shops, or places to eat. We had no cell coverage at all (at&t) unless we climbed the observation tower. That was, however, a beautiful view and well worth the "climb". We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

What a great setting! You could spend a day or two here and never leave the property. There’s lot of history to explore, and the river is a short stroll away. The view from the seven-story observation tower is worth the climb. We stayed in the upper campground and had no problem getting in or out. A few trees could use a trim. Cell service was essentially non-existent. Lots of trees, so satellite reception was a challenge. The office staff was very friendly and super helpful. They have great ideas for day trips to nearby attractions. Even though this park is a bit too remote for our taste, we’d definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park sits a ways off the main road. There are a couple low branches but no damage. The park road is asphalt with concrete pads, 50 amp, table, grass. We were able to have a phone signal but very low. Also computer signal. We have been here before and would stay again. It's very quiet and the personnel are friendly and helpful. Be sure to eat at The Old Country Store in Lorman. The best fried chicken and good buffet. Also tour the Military Park. Interesting. We camped here in a Motorhome.
