Prior to our arrival at ABC (Crazy Horse)I contacted the management to see if they were addressing the condition of the restrooms and showers that had been given poor ratings in previous comments by other campers. I was assured that they were addressing the comments and that the staff tried very hard each day to keep the restrooms clean for all guests. I was even offered an upgrade to a full hook up site that turned out to be too small for my 36' trailer, so we stayed in a "stream side" W/E site for 7 days. Our stream turned out to be the feeder "creek" for the algae filled fishing pond that bore no catch-able trout. The staff is friendly enough, if you discount the tyrant who unhappily operates the $9/day water slide. If you weigh more than 100lbs, keep you @$$ off the water slide or your @$$ will be hanging off the side rubbing against the 150 grit concrete sand paper they lined the side of the slide with. (Worth the $9, per site, for the kids to tire themselves of endless energy. Now to the facilities... I'm sure that 15 years ago this was a nice campground. Whomever the owner is currently needs to reinvest on the infrastructure of the park. The restrooms/showers need a major overhaul and the water system needs a pump boost to get you any pressure at the faucet head. My water system barely had enough pressure to wash your hands, let alone a shower in your own trailer, unless you used your own water pump. No need for a pressure regulator here. Not to fault the management or staff, but there seemed to be at least one occupant of the campground every night who needed to defecate in a pasture instead of a toilet. This individual or individuals need to learn a little common courtesy for the other campers as well as those who have to clean up behind them. During our stay, I only found one toilet out of 6 (each day) that was usable before 9am (when the staff cleaned and removed the bovine fecal matter from the available receptacles). So, is the staff working on the restroom issue? Yes, but it only appears they do so once a day and nothing is being done to proactively make the park better for future campers. Unfortunately for the majority of the friendly staff, we will not return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here for two nights and was glad to get out after a two night stay. We camped in the back the site was level and clean. The issue was the bathroom in the rear. There was no hot water and it appeared its been like that for some time. They had nice printed signs stating the hot water did not work to go and use the restroom on the other end of the campground. Then the sun went down, there was out of control children every place, with no supervision. They were going around in packs and they turned on all of the vacant sites water. No water pressure in the park for two hours! Staff was clueless and not very friendly. Will not be back! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here 8 years ago and now this park is in need of maintenance. Sewer line below us overflowed, bathhouse closest to us had hot water 1 day out of 5. Laundry facilities listed 3 but only 1 with 5 washer and dryers for entire campground use and dryers took forever. Sites are supposed to be for big rigs but we barely got our 34' fifth wheel in ours. If neighbor had been in a site, no way could we have gotten in. Sites very unlevel. We will not be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

CLEAN!! CLEAN!! CLEAN!! This was the cleanest park we've ever stayed at, including Disney! The manager was very friendly and the grounds crew were relentless in their cleaning and work. No playground for kids, and the pool was a little small. Sites were plenty deep for our 30' travel trailer and my 25' truck. Maybe just a bit narrow, but I've seen worse. The stream is nice, and fire rings are at every site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

There are currently some renovations being done in the campground. Some restrooms are closed, some water faucets are not working, and there are some piles of debris or building materials cluttering up an otherwise beautiful place. You can get a large RV in here, but will most likely have to make a reservation far in advance as maybe half of the parking pads tend to be small. Some tree limbs were low over the roads in some spots and I’d be concerned about damage to rubber roofs, antennas, etc. With the dump station being located six miles away, and you are supposed to fill fresh water tanks there as well, I just didn’t consider it to be an RV friendly campground. That said it made a wonderful and peaceful retreat after a day in town. Easily worth the extra effort to get a large trailer in here and in a year or so when construction is finished it should only be better. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you are looking for a great CG near Gatinburg and can boon dock, this is a great CG. Restrooms are nearby all sites but no showers available. Sites are level and natural. Park federal officials at check-in are typical bureaucrats not very helpful. However the walk-around hosts are very helpful. Hiking trails are all around. Mountain stream (little river) is beautiful. There is no dumping station at the CG. It is located across from the Sugarlands visitor center. Fresh water is available from faucets located near the restrooms. There is a limited amount of overflow parking available. This may be a must if you have a big RV and toad or TV. At your site, you must park on the paved site only not on grass. We love this CG and its surroundings. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the nicest Jellystone we've been too! The owner is really nice and very friendly. He will escort you to your site and help you back in, which is a big plus considering it is a very tight campground. Even with our 35 feet of TT, 55 foot total length, we didn`t have any issues. The sites, along with the whole campground, is all gravel: no mud! We had a stream side site which was beautiful. There was always something for the kids to do. They even had a water fight Saturday afternoon: all the kids with waterguns on the hayride trailer and all the parents with buckets, hoses and water guns at their sites. It was a blast. The Wi-Fi worked great for the 5 days we were here. We had cable TV so I don`t now how good the standard TV reception is. The next time we are in the area we will go back! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Our family stayed here for a week in a travel-trailer and enjoyed our visit. Upon arriving on site, we were greeted warmly, checked in quickly, and escorted to our site where the owner helped us back in. The weather was hot when we were here, but with all the shade and stream-side location, we were very comfortable. The pool and shower/bathroom areas were very clean. The streams running through the campground were clean and a favorite play spot for our kids. We stayed in spot 10 - toward the front of the park and were not bothered by highway noise. We would definitely stay here again - close enough to Gatlinburg to be convenient, but far enough away to be able to escape the congestion. Feels like a mountain retreat! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This site is not well kept. It was dumpy, worn out and the hostess was completely awful. It took me 15 minutes to make a reservation on the phone. This person could care less about being customer oriented. Our cableTV jack did not work, I went to have it fixed and they said the person would come by in 1/2 hour, they never showed. The sewer wasn't flowing correctly and almost resulted in a big "mess". I was able to get it to flow by dumping slowly. ONLY stay here if you want a place to sleep and then be on your way. This site is not a place I would want to stay for several days. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We also were surprised to find this campground had openings during the peak fall season when no other area campground had a site available for just a Friday night. The reasons became obvious once we got there. The campground was 90% empty. No credit cards, only cash. A recent heavy rain left the campground with a lot of standing water and mud. The pool was partially drained and the water that remained had a nice green color. The cable TV at the site we picked was not working. We did find cables run between trees split numerous times ending with a bundle of cable hanging from a tree at the next site over that we could connect to. Needless to say the picture quality was not great. The real excitement started once we were setup and ready to catch the trolley into Gatlinburg. The manager/owner of the campground was threatening to beat-up and kill an elderly man who was giving him some sort of trouble. A minute later the police pulled in and got involved. We watched this all unfold as we were waiting for the trolley and wondered if we dared to leave our RV there unattended or even to spend the night there. Being the slightly adventurous types we decided to stay. Our sleep was interrupted a couple times with sirens stopping in front of the campground and what sounded like a gunshot later on. The reviews we've read on this forum have been very helpful and pretty accurate. If we had checked this campground out before our stay we could have avoided paying the going rate for a one night stay in a run down and scary campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Good: Park was clean and well kept. Most all sites are heavily shaded although our particular site had adequate shading but still open and large. Lot #157. Electric was good as was cable. Had approximate 100 channels. Pretty lake with center spray for effect and several creeks and branches. Every one in the park was friendly. Many permanent trailers and occupants. All were well kept. Had several rental spaces for motorhomes. However be advised that 40ft. is the limit and that's for a reason. Problems or some negatives: The campground/resort can present some maneuver problems especially with a 40ft motorhome. We had to pull and straighten a few times to get backed in. But all was OK afterward. The water pressure is low, about 25 lbs. As I said the cable is good but we have not been able to acquire satellite even though it appears we have a clear view. The sites that adjoin the Hwy. 321 are noisy as the road is well traveled. The pool was closed but appears to be a large multiple shaped pool. Nice tennis court. Has a mini golf area (Carpet golf) A small playground but clean and has nice play equipment. The restaurant was closed. Can't assess. All in all, a nice resort although very full. Kept in mind that most all campgrounds in this area are geared to smaller trailers and coaches. And the majority are limited to 40' for motorhomes. It is away from Gatlinburg to the tune of about 10+ miles. That's a negative, but we have our towed and motorcycle so not an issue. If you want to be real close to Gatlinburg, with trolley service and have a pretty nice campground then Twin Creeks would be my choice. One last suggestion. Make sure you drop your towed at the front and some of the turns are too acute with it attached. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The nicest campground I have ever stayed at. Yes they are mainly an owner occupied park, but everything was very well kept, not like some places you see where folks have permanent spots. We backed up to a beautiful peaceful stream, paved roads and far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg to relax. The workers showed me a back route into Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to avoid all the weekend traffic. I have already booked another trip for this summer. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Used a friend's site so paid considerably less than the posted rate. Mostly park models and travel trailers with a few motorhomes. Trash picked up promptly regardless of time of day it was set out. Park has a generally clean well kept, but crowded appearance. Some sites could be a real challenge to get into or out of. Utilities were good except the water pressure was extremely low. Heavy enough foliage that you can forget satellite TV. Cell phone did not work from inside the park. Park is about 8 miles from Gatlinburg. Sites on the roadside can get some traffic noise. A nice park for a family that wants to get away to a rural type setting with most of the amenities. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A friendly campground with great owners who take you to your site and help you back in. Owners also take the time to make recommendations about what to do and not to do in the nearby area, which was helpful. The campground was very well maintained, with nice landscaping. We all loved the pool, which was clean and well-kept and a godsend during the very hot and humid weather we experienced while there. The bathrooms were also clean, well-kept and cheery. Room for improvement: you can't select your site when you make your reservation, which means you are at the mercy of the owners when it comes to where you will camp. The campground seems to cater primarily to motor homes. We had one of the few tent trailers at the campground during our stay, and were given a spot with a steep uphill incline. The limestone/gravel rock on the site, combined with the incline, made backing in tricky. The sites are relatively small. The bathroom showers have barely a stream of water, supposedly in regards to conservation of natural resources, but this seems an unfair disadvantage to those who don't have showers in their campers. We would camp here again if we were staying in the area. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

I cannot say enough nice things about this wonderful RV park. We stayed here several days while visiting Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Immaculately clean in every area. The laundry has 2 washers and 2 dryers. The bathroom and showers are exceptional. We had a paved pull-through site. The owners are marvelous. They helped my husband with a water issue and since it was Father's Day, he was given a hat. The pool was thoroughly enjoyed by my grandson as was the basketball goal and playground. I would not think of staying anyplace else when visiting this area. It was the highlight of our 3 week vacation. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped at this park four years ago: loved it then, loved it now! This place is clean and quiet! It has a great pool and my young kids enjoy it here. We requested a stream lot and got it. The owners and workers are friendly and do everything they can to accommodate you. By far the cleanest and most spacous showers I have ever seen. This campground does not "entertain" (like pancake breakfasts or crafts for kids) because this campground is surrounded by so many other things to do (Gatlinburg, the National Park, zip lining, white water rafting, etc.). This campground is an excellent base for this area and we would use it again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The campground itself is excellent. Shaded sites with some backing up to a bubbling stream (very soothing) and a fair amount of space per site. Our rig was 40' and barely fit on the site, however they do have some pull-through sites (off the water) for longer rigs. The turns are pretty tight inside the park for bigger rigs. The biggest plus was that the park was so clean and well-kept! The restrooms were the best I have ever experienced. The campstore carries essentials and the staff was very nice. The downside is getting into the park: the turn in (to the right) requires moving into the left lane to turn right. It is 90 degrees or more which we didn't know until on it, as it immediately goes downhill. Coming in by turning left is no problem but turning in to right is plain scary on that busy road. Across the road is a real grocery store which was great. There were no children here while we visited and the pool was still closed, but the facilities looked nice though not extensive. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
