We camped over the July 4th holiday and the campground was almost full. They do have a great deal of activities for the kids; fishing pond, playground, day camp just to name a few. The bathhouses were in need of SERIOUS attention! They were filthy, smelly and looked as if they had not been cleaned in months. I was in the bathroom while a staff woman was cleaning (I use that term loosely) and she was emptying the trash and refilling the toilet paper and paper towels and cleaning the mirrors and sinks with Windex and that was it. I never saw the toilets or floors being cleaned. The showers were full of hair and and soap remains. To top it all off this very large campground has 3 bathhouses but each of these only has 3 toilets and 3-5 showers. While we were there only 2 toilets were working and 2 showers were shut down and they lost hot water for one day. If you choose to stay here do what I did, take your own bleach cleaner every time you visit the bathhouse! Both the men and women restrooms smelled foul and and were disgusting! Also, if you choose to use the bathhouse located at the pool use extreme caution as the tile floors are very slick. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This was a great park. We had a spacious site with a small stream behind us that the kids and dog really seemed to enjoy playing in. The bathrooms were convenient, but not quite as clean as I would like them. The staff, with one exception, were incredibly friendly and I feel that they went out of their way for us. They met us when we arrived (after hours) and helped back us in, delivered wood right to the campsite, were constantly making rounds to pick up garbage from the sites throughout the day and couldn't have been more helpful when my van broke down. My only complaints are the cleanliness of the bathrooms (they could also use an update) and I feel that they could have done a better job of getting information out to us (kids activities, how to get Wi-Fi, daily events, etc.). We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great location for exploring the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. It is 15 minutes east of Gatlinburg, so it is close enough to explore the town and the Sugarlands visitor center, but you really feel that you are out in the woods. We were in a large wooded site near the creek, which felt more like a park campground than the typical RV parking lot. The staff was very friendly. There is a convenience store and laundry on site and there is a large grocery store on the way to Gatlinburg. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Super kid friendly campground. Lots of fun for the young ones such as a 500' long slide, nice size pool, great game room, lake, pedal cars, etc. Friendly staff. Paved and gravel roads. Gravel sites. We got free access to the slide since they were running a special deal for the weekend (otherwise $9 per person) Nice camp store sorted with everything. Clean bathrooms, nice dish washing room, and W-iFi available. About 15-20 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was our second visit to Adventure Bound. We camped here with two other families. Our kids enjoyed the waterslide and pool. We loved our site on the stream with a deck. A great campground for families. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here during the week and the place was empty. The pool was great and the waterslide may not look like much, but it is fast and fun. They just don't advertise on their webpage that there is a daily charge for it. We paid an extra $5 per night for a stream-side site, but it isn't worth it. The only bad thing is that the campground is a little far from town. It is only 12 miles from downtown Gatlinburg, but the drive seems long after a day of sightseeing. I wouldn't mind camping here again, but I might look at something a little closer to town. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great experience, we were helped from the start and set up, including removing some limbs because our camper is so tall. We opted for the stream side and boy was it nice, slept great. The campground is about 25 miles from Dollywood, but it was good because there was less traffic than the closer parks. Kids loved the water slide, so did wife. The campground gives you the feeling of being in the woods, not in a parking lot, crammed in together trying to get as many spots as possible from an acre of land. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped streamside. The very large pool was never crowded even in the evening and always sparkling clean. The water slide was a huge event: it was operational, well maintained and staffed, and safety was important. Great for tweens and teens. The grounds were well kept and well manicured. The store stocked better than most, and the blueberry ice cream is a must. The game room is ok: our kids did utilize it some but the games are mostly for mid to older teens. The staff was very helpful and trash was picked up street-side. Now for the negatives: A rare few of the sites have concrete pads, the rest mostly rock beds, so bring a tarp or mat. There is only one laundry with 6 washers and 5 working dryers: with 200 sites and dirty kids you can do the math on this disaster. The laundry is located at the check-in office, so if your staying stream-side, it's a pretty good hike to clean your fruit-of-the-looms. The centered bathrooms and showers were tolerable but did not meet the clean test by any means. Last for the negatives: I thought playing a PG movie with violence was tasteless for a campground with so many kids! The movie needed to have been a little more family and perhaps shown outdoors not in the game room. There was only one movie shown the entire week. The fishing pond is great to sit by: but bring some live bait if your planning to catch anything. All in all:' the family environment is above average, the number of kids here is great, check-in was easy, and for what you get, even paying a few extra bucks for the slide seems well worth the price. It was an all time hit for kids, and a true campground, not just an RV park out by a street. The travel distance to Gatlinburg is about 15 minutes: we went into town daily for breakfast and a few activities, then back to the camp for sliding and campfire fun. Note: the trolley does not come to the campground. Also check out the whitewater rafting: it's about a 25-minute drive and well worth the money. With all that said: a little updating attention to the laundry and center bath area and Adventure Bound would get an A+. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here in a pop-up with 2 adults and 3 kids. This was our second stay. The kids absolutely love this campground! The pool and water slide are great fun. We stayed way in the back and it was not crowded at all. The sites are large and neat. I love the private shower rooms, even though they are rundown a bit. The camp store was very well stocked and prices were high, but then most camp stores are. We did not fish, but enjoyed the pond. The kids theater was a blast. The staff are among the best we've encountered at a campground. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here for a week. We were promptly waited on and given our site number. We reserved a stream side site and a lot of the campground is stream so its nice to hear the rolling stream instead of the traffic noise. We did notice that if you're in the front of the campground you can hear traffic noise and sites 1-5 back up to a animal hospital. I think they may board dogs there too and could hear barking. So you might want to reconsider sites on the front left as you go into the campground. We were in the back and there was no Wi-Fi connection. We had to take our laptop up to the game room to connect. We also couldn't get cell service from the campground and had to drive a ways down the main road. We noticed the camp store wasn't stocked with some of the things you might need if you run out. They carry no bread so stock up or there is a Food City down the road or another small store. One more thing that we thought was absolutely ridiculous was the wood they sale for the camp fires. They paid 13 dollars and got like 10 pieces of wood. So we drove down the road and found a guy selling wood and bought tons of wood for our week there for 20 bucks. The pool was nice and clean but water a little chilly to me. The campground is a nice, clean one. They have the Jack Tales theater on weekends and its fun for the kids. They can be in the play. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We just returned from Adventure Bound in Gatlinburg and thought it was great. Our weekend didn't start out so great when we arrived Thursday night. The site we were on wasn't very big and directly across from us was a row of larger empty pull-throughs. When we mentioned this to the manager she readily offered to move us to a site of our choosing. We ended up staying put due to the fact we were already set-up and had no neighbors on either side. The entire atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful, other than being a little too close to highway 321. The bathhouses were very well kept and up-to-date. The slide was in great shape and our kids LOVED it (me too). The only place I saw that needed updating was the game room. It also would benefit from a couple of big fans pulling some air through the place. Other than that the capmground is in really good condition. With regard to the new management; while I had never visited here before, I spoke with a lady who told us she had been coming there since she was a child and that the folks who currently own had really cleaned/fixed/updated the place in the last couple of years. All in all we were pleased with the campground and the management. We fully intend to return with friends in the near future. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent four nights Memorial weekend 2009 at this campground. This campground was much nicer than I had expected. We had a family of 2 adults and 6 kids. Kid's even rated it a 10 and they wanted to stay longer. Lots of things to do between pool, Jack Tales Storytelling theater, water slide, fishing, and exploring the creeks. We originally reserved a regular stream-side lot but due to a last minute cancellation we got to upgrade to the stream-side with tent deck on lot 300. Tent deck was fabulous over looking running creek and it protected us from rain on our last two days. I would highly recommend this campground. We camped here in a Tent.

Even though it rained, we enjoyed the campground. The store was nice, but a lot of things seemed overpriced. We had a great time, park was pretty empty, not quite camping season yet. Lots of trees and most sites, from what I could tell, were shady. The only thing I took notice of that was negative, I'd like to have seen more stones on the RV lots. Our lot was pretty muddy w/ all of the rain and we commented on how if the lots had more stones it would have been better. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is lovely and under normal circumstances I would camp here again, but for the fact that we were walking our dog and overheard the manager screaming at staff and later on in the week she was being ugly to kids. She apparently doesn't need to be in the general public as a manager, she was rude, loud, and hateful to her staff and to the customers and it seems to me that the staff is the one's who help the manager keep things running, and the customers pay her salary so she needs to work elsewhere. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great campground just as I remembered from 25 years ago. Staff are friendly. And the campground has much to offer kids. Well maintained but the prices in the store as well as golf cart rentals are very high. Will go back very soon. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, from booking the reservation on the phone, to checking in, to checking out. We had a lovely shaded spot by the stream. (Site 206) Full hook up with cable. Wireless is available but you need to be close to the office. We just brought our laptops to the porch and sat in the rocking chairs. no problems. I took a look at the showers but didn't use them, some friends said that only 2 out of 5 had running water. Lots of activity's for the kids. The pool and 500' water slide were great. (even fun for the adults) We will go back! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

What an excellent park. The bathrooms were very clean and cleaned at least twice per day. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They gave us several sites to choose from and directed us to some we may like better. The store was nicely stocked and staffed by some of the nicest ladies we've dealt with. Our site was level with plenty of gravel and nice shade trees. There was some kind of truck show being hosted there and we were invited to join in the festivities which included breakfast, lunch and a bon fire and beer later in the evening. This is not the first time we have stayed here, and it won't be the last. I understand there was a management change a year or so ago. These folks that are running it now are doing a great job. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has really gone down hill over the years thru change of ownership being now corporate. We had a family reunion using 3 cabins and 4 campsites. The campsites were not close to level--the fire pits were filthy but my main complaint was our children and their families staying in the 3 cabins. At $100+ per night they were best classified as the pits. Plumbing that didn't work, refrigerators that didn't operated properly. Cleaning between guest occupancy's was pathetic---2 towels were furnished for a 4 person cabin---same sheets all week long-----this is not acceptable. The workers there have been decreased at least 70%--and they know that the lake has not been stocked with trout in years and they continue to rip people off for $6.50 each to through the line in the water and catch nothing. I saw 4 trout caught in the lake in 5 days. It used to be that every time practically you casted a line you caught a trout. The campground was about 20% occupied all the time we were there, which only means---price up, services down--means they lose. We will never return there again after staying there on 4 or 5 other occasions. Sorry We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here from July 1st through 8th. The bathhouse we used was not the cleanest of places we have stayed but no where near the worst. Was not bad enough I had a problem with it, and I know it was cleaned very well at least once daily everyday we were there. People just made no effort to help keep it clean. We had the AC in our pop-up running non-stop, along with an extra refrig., fan outside, tv, dvd, etc. etc. and never had any problem with the power. The power did go off to the whole campground for a couple of hours one day, but it was off to the whole surrounding area as well so I didn't fault the campground for it. The water slide was just fast enough to be fun, but expect a scrape or two. The pool is nice & big especially for a campground, and was clean for most of our stay. Towards the end it seemed they got slack on vacuuming, cleaning. (grass, etc.) Our site was right next to the stream and trout pond and during certain times had a lot of flying insects around which was annoying but if you have a bug zapper take it and you won't be bothered. I was very impressed with the quantity and size of fish caught from the trout pond and how anyone who wanted to fish could catch one. The campground store is stocked very well and reasonably priced on everything I saw except beer which was outrageous. To sum it up this is a very nice campground and great for kids and adults alike. My only reasons for not giving it a 10 (perfect)are that camping and all the extras are expensive and things like the pool, bathhouses, campsites could be better maintained from a maintenance standpoint and also the staff could have been friendlier. They weren't rude or un-friendly but didn't seem to really enjoy what they were doing either. They should also consider spraying for insects like other campgrounds do. Just for the money there is definate room for improvement. We all had a good overall experience and I would recommend it over others in the area. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

If you're looking for a campground with enough amenities to keep the children occupied, then this may be the place for you. If, however, you prefer a campground with clean restrooms and enough electricity to power a small pop-up trailer, then beware! The sites are mostly shady, there's a water slide and pool, as well as a trout pond and gameroom. The camp store was well-stocked, and the ice cream there was pretty good, too. Unfortunately, during our mandatory 4-night minimum stay, the bath houses were never cleaned (as evidenced by the excrement that remained on the toilet seats the entire time, the burned out light bulb in the bath house that was never replaced, the leaky shower that ran non-stop during our entire stay, and the wet, muddy floors surrounding the toilets). This is definitely a place where you want to keep water shoes on your feet while you shower! Also, we experienced a complete power outage one afternoon that lasted almost 2 hours, and we had surges of electricity the rest of the time. We did not have enough power to run the A/C in our pop-up, and our neighbors at the next site had the same problem. Unfortunately, while the neighbors were successful in receiving a partial refund, we were denied any, even though we wound up leaving early. (Please understand that I'm not one who usually demands air conditioning while camping, but we had a newborn with us and the temperatures were dangerously high for him.) With all this said, if you asked our other kids (ages 7,9,and 11), then they would have told you this place was great! Be forewarned though, the pool water was very cloudy, two of my three children were injured on the water slide, and the $6.50 "daily campground fishing license fee" does not guarantee that you'll catch any fish. By the time we paid $9.00/day/family for the water slide and $6.50/day/child for fishing, this was an expensive venture! Overall, for the price we were charged, I expected a whole lot more. I was really disappointed that the manager was not more understanding and refused to discuss the problems with us. It's unlikely that we would return. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Our site was quite large. We had a stream site and was next to the fishing pond. The campground overall was excellent for us. The pool and water slide were in great shape and handled all of the guest on the Labor Day weekend that we stayed. I did not use the rest rooms but my wife and children did, they explained that they were OK, but not the greatest. The showers were clean. Some of the sites in the back of the campground were smaller, but the ones in the front and stream side were a nice size. Great campground if you like to be out away from the hustle of the attractions. Overall, A very good experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here over the Labor Day weekend in a popup and found the stream close to the site we had reserved was about 40 yards away from the site. Not a big deal, as we could still hear the water and it was a level site once we got the pup backed down the hill! Showers were clean and had hot water everyday, although we only went in the mornings. Bathrooms were semi-clean and got cleaned sometimes more than once a day. Many activities provided by the campground daily, mostly for kids. Overall, after driving by a few other campgrounds in the general area, we were extemely happy with our choice! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

I am new to this site and reviewing places where we have camped. 2005 was the first year of camping for our family. We stayed at the Crazy Horse Campground in August 2005. We found a coupon at the visitor�s center that got us 3 nights for the price of 2! We wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg but close enough to drive in. Crazy Horse was 12 miles away. There were places to grocery shop within just a few miles. When we arrived we asked if we could look at the available sites and the kind staff members accommodated our request (they were great the entire stay!). We chose a site beside the stocked trout pond. It had a beautiful view but a lot of flying insects. We had free use of the waterslide but had to pay to fish and were limited to 2 fish. After I saw the trout coming out of the pond I understood why. The camp store was very nice and well stocked. The bathrooms were clean and there were individual shower rooms. The young man that held the Sunday Worship Service was awesome! Overall it was a great experience and we had some quality family time. We camped here in a Tent.

The expense was not worth the stay. Sites are very small and campground seems overly crowded. Showers and bathhouses were filthy every day. Extra charge for pond use. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We camped here over Memorial Day weekend (2004). This is definitely a family-type campground...lots of kids running around (including my 3). The campground was crowded (it was a holiday weekend) and the pool seemed a little small for all the kids in it. I don't believe the pool is heated, because it was awfully cold. The water slide is very nice and my kids loved it (the line was never long....maybe a 1 minute wait at most). We were disappointed in the playground. It is very small and quickly became a mud pit with all the rain. Speaking of mud, it did rain quite a bit over the weekend and parts of the campground were muddy. Our site (159) could have used a little more gravel. Most of the sites have plenty of shade. They are kinda small, but still bearable. The sewer connection for our site was quite a bit off and I wound up buying a 15' sewer hose at the campground store ($15). Sites 171 through 177 are very nice and have a concrete patio. Sites 227 through 222 are also nice. They seemed a little larger than all the other sites. We didn't have any problems with the staff. All were very helpful. We would camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beware of Crazy Horse Campground. They stung me for over $200.00. I made reservations several months ahead and told them the size of my rig only to arrive and find out the site was too small. They do not give refunds. I repeat THEY DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS. I tried to negotiate with a very rude manager to no avail. I was eventually offered one of two available sites. One had wild chickens running though the site and the other was our original site but I would have to park my truck in an overflow lot by the maint. shed. I'm still in the process of fighting to get even a portion of my money back. This is a corporate campground at it's worst. Smoky Bear campground is right down the street. They have large sites, very clean facilities and excellent service. Even better, the owners are on site. Oh, and they're a lot cheaper to boot! RIPOFF! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I recently took my family to Gatlinburg for the weekend and we stayed at the Crazyhorse. I made reservations for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. We set up Thursday and spent the night. It rained hard that night and the first thing we all needed was a hot shower. There are three bathrooms on the campground. We didn't realize the first one didn't have any hot water until everyone was in the showers. We had to put our clothes back on and take all our shower stuff back out to the truck. (It's still pouring buckets and the wife and kids were sure letting me know how pissed they were.) We journeyed to the back of the campground to bathroom number two which was closed. The final bathroom was up near the office. When we attempted to park by the bathroom we were told we could not park there. There was no parking around the bathroom for forty or so yards (Still raining buckets). This would be fine for me but not for the wife and kids who are trying to get ready to go to downtown Gatlinburg. When I went to complain about the bathrooms there was an older man in front of me complaining that the heated pool advertised on the internet wasn't really heated at all the day before. They lady's response was that the heat in the pool depended on how hot it was outside. (Guess it was solar powered!) I told the receptionist that I wanted to withdraw my reservation for the next two nights based on the lack of services at the campground. She told me it would be o.k. I packed up our tent in the downpour and gathered all our belongings. On the way out I went to settle up and get my receipt. The manager came to the window and told me she wasn't allowed to give refunds. I asked her who was and she told me that she was the highest authority I could speak to. I would understand her position if the campground was full but it was only about twenty-five percent full. I didn't need reservations after all. I was charged for the remaining two nights but refused to stay there. I'll never consider it as a possible location to camp again. The management and employees were very rude to me and made me wonder where all the southern hospitality had gone. You can still find it in Tennessee just not at the Crazyhorse. They're right it is Loco there. We camped here in a Tent.

Stayed several nights with 3 kids (ages 2, 3, 6). This is an A+ for the kids because they can play all day wading in the streams, going down the waterslide, swimming in the pool, and romping around (only kid complaint was old playground equipment and over-rated fishing pond). We'd highly recommend a stream site --anything from 207-212 (best 209) for rustic and 171-177 for concrete pads across from bathrooms. All beautiful tree-covered sites, but some can be muddy. Pretty level. Mostly gravel roads. Staff was very nice to us, despite some of the other reviews. Picked up trash in front of sites all day long and were always nice to the kids. Location is a bit far but away from hussle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Minor negatives: a few ugly pipes across the streams, some rental cabins are not too pretty along the streams, some dangerously high banks on parts of streams, could use a little better up-keep overall. Still, we had a ball and would definitely stay here again, especially after seeing for ourselves that Twin Creeks and Outdoor Resorts were basically overrated parking lots. Even worse was Camping in the Smokeys, which was basically a football field next to the highway. We were very pleased to see that we picked the best one for our taste. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We had a horrible experience at this campground. We were assigned a site that could not accommodate our rig. We were told to park our truck in the overflow lot. When we asked for another site we were told the park was full. The Manager was very rude and when we checked out we asked for a refund for all but that first day and were rebuffed with "we don't give refunds". This is an example of a corporate campground that does not care. Stay away. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I was very impressed with this campground. We were in site 176 against the creek and the sites were quite large for a private campground. I needed a new sewer hose and bought a 20' one in the campstore for under $10. Less than it was at Wal-mart. Great staff and the water slide is great for all. Can't wait to go back. Our family has camped at Crazy Horse for several years each Memorial Day weekend. While my kids love it because of the pool, waterslide, and Jack Tails theater, our last trip was somewhat unpleasant. The main bathouse was out of order and we had to walk several hundred yards to the big rig section to shower. The poolside restroom was very dirty/muddy. Sites at Crazy Horse offer little privacy, are way too close to each other, and are in desperate need of new gravel to avoid a muddy mess after a rain shower. The campground is far from quiet, however I have camped here off-season and found it to be much more tranquil. The new ownership has upped nightly rates to $40+ in season and seems a bit much. On the bright side, Crazy Horse offers mostly shaded sites, a nice trout fishing pond, and is kid friendly. Avoid Crazy Horse on a holiday weekend and you'll probably fare much better. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Great park, a lot out of the way if you like Pigeon Forge. If you like Gatlinburg, like we did than it's no more out of the way than the Pigeon Forge campgrounds. Park is clean, quiet nice atmosphere. I liked the stream sites at the back of the park where we were. We also had a bear visit us, but it gave us no trouble. The kids loved the water slide as well. I would definitely go back if I would visit the area. We camped here in a camper.

Although, it's a little out of the way, Crazyhorse is worth a stay if your looking for a nice quiet atmosphere. The park is very laid back with friendly staff and plenty for the kids to do. The only concern was from a regular who said the campground had been sold and staff had been cut recently. However, my families first experience was positive. We camped here in a camper.

Great park, the staff is unbelieveable, very very helpful. The park is so kid friendly that my daughter wanted to live there. I would highly recommend this park for any stay in the Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge area. Only drawback is that they are kinda far out from everything and we did have a bear visit us one night, but that was our fault because we left food outside on the table overnight. We camped here in a camper.

This is a very nice, well kept and managed park. The managers and staff were friendly and helpful and they enforced the rules which we liked. It is located close to Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Forest. The sites are a bit close to the road, so noise could be an issue but it died down pretty good at night so it wasn't an issue for us. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were here March 25, 2010, and used our Passport America. We couldn't stay on the stream, dang!!! The bathrooms were closed til April 1 and I felt that we should have gotten a better rate. However, the Wi-Fi and cable TV were excellent. After staying at a primitive campground, Elkmont, we were ready for a little extra techy stuff. Nice owners, very helpful, and a very nice little campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

My wife and I have been camping here for many years. We always get a creekside site and love it. We spend 2 weeks in October and bring our grandchildren for a week in the summer. The park is always clean and the bathroom/showers are spotless. The park managers will do all they can to accommodate you. The park is very accessible to all the many sights and recreation possibilities in the area. The park is adjacent to the National Park, and it is not unusual to see bears across the creek. The creek sites are worth the few dollars more. We have had no bad experiences at this park and hope to be visiting there for many more years. The only thing more I would like to see would be more 50 amp sites. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was an excellent experience. We had a 50 amp, very large site closest to the road and noted not enough road noise to be a bother. The staff, the managers and the work-camper were waiting for us at arrival to help us check in and help us un-hook our car and back us into our huge level site. They even took our tow dolly to a storage area. The place is spotless throughout and the staff could not have been more cordial and helpful. The access to all of the area attractions was easy and the staff was very helpful in advising and directing us. The pizza delivered from Papa Johns was fabulous. We will always come back to this park and highly recommend it. We are Passport America members. We camped here in a Motorhome.

For our purpose of visiting the Gatlinburg area, this campground was perfect. It is located right on the highway, and we were out by the highway. However, noise from that was negligible. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were helped from disengaging the tow vehicle to backing in the site. The staff stopped by to check if all was well after we were settled in. Some sites were close together, and some were like ours, very roomy. Seems the bigger rigs were given the roomy sites and the smaller rigs the smaller sites. Sounds right to me. I would definitely use this park when I return to Gatlinburg. One of the nice features are the shuttle cars which stop right outside the park and take you to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for 50 cents each per direction. Can't go wrong with this. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The management here was very helpful. It is a small RV park, which can be a bonus, especially if you don't have kids (kids are welcome, though). The sites were clean, and the park was spotless. The laundry room was very clean, and the washers/dryers were in excellent shape. The park is close to everything, yet out of the way enough so you don't get caught up in the hussle and bussle of the town. the Wi-Fi was excellent, the cable TV had plenty of channels to choose from. The creekside sites were wonderful. The downside: there is not a play area for children, and it is close to the road, but there really was little road noise in the back section of the park. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this campground to friends. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Among the best RV parks my wife and I have visited. The host was very nice and helpful: escorted to the site, helped me park, etc. The park was very clean, lots of shade, and well cared for. I liked the large level sites and well mowed lawn. The showers and rest rooms were very clean and nice. The laundry area was well equipped and also very clean. The water pressure was good as well as the shore power. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Camping in the Smokies Campground July 09. This campground sports many good qualities. The location is super for planning a visit to Gatlinburg. It is right on the trolley line (trolley stops at the mouth of the campground) and fairly close to town. One could walk it if you had to. The bathrooms, showers and laundry rooms were in good repair and very clean. The pool was kept up daily. The grounds were maintained and not one speck of trash could be found. The general area was level and there were ample gravel on each site. The campground has WIFI and a sampling of cable (8 channels) TV. On the down side, the sites were very close to one another. I had to watch my slide out to make sure it did not hit the camper next door. The campground did not have any playground equipment at all. The worst thing was the managers were extremely strict on every rule they have in place. I saw them almost tow a car for being parked there without one of their tags. They ran off some teens from the pool because they were not 18 years old. Those teens needed a parent with them in order to swim. There was a creek that ran beside the campground. Overall the price we paid was too high and the sites were too close for us to return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were there for four nights, and found it to be a wonderful compromise between the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and the peace of the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. It is conveniently located, yet relatively quiet (except for a little highway noise if you aren't parked next to the brook). The restrooms and showers are immaculate. The pool is clean and inviting. And the managers, Bob and Bonnie, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. WiFi is coming in mid-June. The park is conveniently located for food shopping, gas, hardware, etc. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very good campground near Gatlinburg near the Arts and Craft Community. Clean everything and very friendly staff. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground has serious management problems. The manager will cuss out a camper without trying to find out the real problem. He screams at them at the top of his lungs with cuss words. He and his wife are not manager material for working with the public. They pick and choose who gets discounts and who don't. If you are friends or campers the managers like they will give them discounts such as not charging for extra people. Some will get Good Sam discounts when they were admittedly not members. A very nice family came with children. The children were told they could not ride their small 2 wheeled motor scooters. One week later other children were allowed too. They were very rude to some of the campers. The campground has some serious sewer problems. The managers were hateful to a camper who complained that he had raw sewage backing up onto the ground beside his camper. This camper tolerated that for at least 3 days. When he complained they just got hateful with him. The managers do not care about the campers. When we left the campground the mens bathroom had mildew 3" high on the shower curtain. The bathrooms were disgusting. There is nothing for the children to do. No playground or volleyball,etc. We would not recommend this campground to anyone. We know all this because we worked there for 5 months. We are not saying all this because of our problems with the managers but because we do not feel this is a good campground to be in. We stopped by this campground thinking it might be a possibility for our group to camp. This was very off-season (one camper in campground.) We did not drive by a gate or a sign asking us to check in. We drove slowly through campground, stopping to look more closely at site and my husband checked for 50 amp. The manager roared up to us in his SUV. We said hello and told him why we were there. He said quite rudely "this is private property and you have to leave!" We expected him to say "would you like a brochure?!" Driving off, we saw (presumably) his wife. We stupidly tried again saying we were looking at campground but are leaving because of rudeness. She waved her hand toward ground in dismissal and said "good enough for you!" Strange, hostile people. I'm glad we saw the attitude here before arriving with a group of campers! PS: Technically we did not stay at this campground, so particulars above are left at default. Nightly rate is required so guessed. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice enough. Staff worked well with us picking out a site. Camp sewer system not working well. Water was leaking like a fountain out of the sewer drain the day we left. Was not able to dump black water. Site flat. Easy to take back roads to Pigeon Forge for shopping and Dollywood and miss the traffic. Gatlingburg trolley system was unpredictable as usual. Rest rooms clean. Could hear traffic all night. Will probably stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground was very well maintained and an overall great place to camp. The owners are very nice and helpful and allowed us to change sites since our water hook up was on the other side of our trailer. I would recommend this campground to anyone considering staying in Gatlinburg. It was very affordable compared to others and well worth the money. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I disagree with some of the below posts regarding a low rating for this campground. We camped here in May 2006 over Memorial weekend as a family unit occupying 2 different sites. The management was friendly, but yes they enforce rules. We had a pet and they were friendly to my pet when we were out on walks. We have a child, although the campground does not have a playground on site, there was plenty of areas where we could play and this did not pose any problems either. The lack of a playground is the only reason that I do not rate this campground a 10. When I am camping, I personally do not like to camp at a place where they let everyone drive through just to look and I feel that the management has the responsibility to their other campers to question any such activities. The showers and bathhouses were very clean, sites were level and quite large for campgrounds in this area, they were shaded and kept clean. The trolley goes by at scheduled intervals, it sometimes is a little late, but this is not the campgrounds fault. I personally find the trolley to be quite convenient as we do not have to worry about parking a large pickup in Gatlinburg. I would definitely stay at this campground again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This year we spent our Memorial Day weekend at Camping in the Smokies near Gatlinburg, TN. We have been camping for 29 years and have never had an experience quite as bad as this one. The campground is located along a very busy and noisy two-lane (soon to be four-lane) highway. The insects (especially the gnats and mesquitoes) were plentiful. The campsites were small and very close (no privacy), most had maybe 10 feet of grass between the graveled sites. Other amenities, such as the pool, bathhouse, laundry area were outdated and small. The picture which appears on the website is very deceiving!! But most disturbing was the manager of the park, he was very rude and unfriendly - what happened to "southern hospitality"?! Needless to say, I would not recommend this campground to a family of groundhogs much less fellow campers. I should have known something was wrong when the campground was not sold out on Friday of a holiday weekend!!! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We stayed here 10 nights and were completely satisfied in every way. This is a quiet, family oriented campground without alot of frills which add to the cost. It is on the Gatlinburg trolley route which offers many attractions in addition to being the gateway to the Smokey Mountain National Park. The campground was very clean and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The murmer of the nearby stream lulled us to sleep each night. We didn't want to leave! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Elkmont is the most isolated big campground I've been to in this part of the US. Watch out if you're taking the Little River road from Townsend in a big RV: it's really twisty and narrow with rock overhangs. I felt like my 28-footer barely made it. Don't know if a big rig would fit. Elkmont is the antithesis of nearby Gatlinburg which is very ticky-tack. It's probably the most peaceful spot I've ever taken the RV. Tall forest canopy covers the campground: it's all shade. The streams in the campground can't be duplicated elsewhere. My kids love this campground but they're outdoor types. If your kids need TV, Wi-Fi, cell phones, game rooms, etc., please take 'em somewhere else less quiet. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed in a 32 ft motorhome in June for the synchronous fireflies. Very nice campground, remember there is no electricity, so be prepared. The sites are huge, very shady and spacious. We wanted a river site, but they were all taken. Maybe next time. We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Continues to be a great family campground. Quiet and spacious sites. Plenty of room to ride bikes and play in the river. Many easy hiking trails accessible. No hook-ups available. No cell phone service. No showers in restrooms. No problems. No fireworks for anxious dogs. Emergency number for park service available. I had a death in my family and they could not have been more accommodating. One of the most restful campgrounds ever. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very rustic campground located in the Smokies. It's located just a short drive from Gatlinburg. Nice river runs through the middle of the campground, very wooded, very relaxing. The only problem with Elkmont is no hook ups and no cell phone service. It's a great place to go to get away and just relax. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We loved our stay here. The sound of the Little River was a gentle, constant presence at our site. One afternoon we spent three hours on the 5-mile hiking loop that starts on one corner of the campground up the Little River Trail, to the Cucumber Gap Trail, then back on the Jake Creek Trail. In early April, wildflowers were profuse and the river beautiful. One note: we would classify the hike as 'moderate' rather than 'easy' as listed in the park's day hike brochure. The big downside was that we couldn't get any cell signal whatsoever (even with a booster) which meant we cut our stay short, as I work from our RV. One day we drove the RV to the Sugarland visitor's center, which is about 8 miles away, and I was able to work from the parking lot as that is one of the very few spots within the park that gets a cell signal...but with snow in the forecast, we decided to move to a campground outside the park to conclude our visit to the Great Smoky National Park. Also, a trip to the visitor's center is required to use the dump station and/or fill your water tanks. Despite the lack of cell signal and hookups, it's the prettiest RV campground within the park as far as we're concerned, and we look forward to returning soon. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Primitive if you are used to resort class campgrounds,but lots of peace and quiet. Plenty of room for the kids to ride bikes and play in the river. Great area to commute to hiking trails, Gatlinburg, and Cades Cove. Sites clean and wide. Can be a little noisy if you are next to a generator site, but they still have certain hours of operation. Have pay phones for use, since no cell phone service is available. Store has plenty of firewood and supplies available if needed. Campground hosts accessible and very knowledgable. A peaceful place to relax and look for firefly sitings. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

No hookups, no showers, in the beautiful Smoky Mt. National Park campgrounds, and if you don't mind "roughing it", an area you must see.. Close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Very wooded, some sites on creek. We saw the firefly synchronization (a phenomena where hundreds of fireflies light up in synchronization) the ranger said the only other place to see that was in Asia. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Even though there are no hookups available or showers, this National Park campground 7 miles from Gatlinbug was the best "non hookup" campground we've ever stayed at. The sites are big, woodsy and many are on the river. Our river site was so very peaceful and relaxing. Fly fisherman, the sound of the roaring river and a campfire at night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are no water, electric, or sewer hook-ups and the nearest dump station is 6 miles away. The sites are spacious, heavily wooded, and mostly level. The campground is relatively convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but still retains a secluded feel as it is within the confines of The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and additionally is 2 miles off the main park road. It is a beautiful campground with the Little Pigeon River running through it, lots of trails to explore, old growth forest, and outcroppings of massive rocks. It's good for a weekend get-away (being there are no hook-ups or even showers available) or for those who like to "rough it". If your kids are outdoorsy, they will certainly love the hiking, fishing, biking (bring your own), exploring, swimming, and innertubing. As these are all weather-dependent, be sure to bring some indoor diversions in case it rains. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I do not know where these other people stayed, but a 9-10 for this park is way over rated. We were told over the phone that the site would be next to the quiet stream and a very nice spot. We were looking forward to several days to just relax. It did back up to the small creek, but 5 feet beyond the creek was the major highway into Gatlingburg. The road noise was so bad with cars and trucks at all hours, we could not even sit outside because we could not hear each other talk. There was no sewer hook up, no TV and I was unable to get WiFi. Either theirs or my own. The fire rings had trash in them, including cigarette butts and beer cans. I can say that the bathrooms were relatively clean. Someone vandalized the men's bathroom and stuffed toilet paper in the toilets and they were unusable. The management did clean that up, but it is not pleasant to camp with unruly children or adults. The gnats were another issue, too many to be outside of the camper. One last thing, I understand that smoke can be a problem but it was so smokey again we could not sit out. It was over 100 degrees outside, why would someone need a fire? There was no breeze, so the smoke hung over the park. People left the fire to smolder. This is a park management issue. They were not cooking. We stayed at another Jellystone in CO and were so pleased that is why we stayed at this one. We will not be back here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice park if you like a more rustic feel. Our rate was for a premium site on a stream with 2 children at $6 a day. We enjoyed our time here. The bathhouse was clean. The pool area was nice. There are hiking trails in the Smokiest behind the campground. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice resort. Kids really liked the stream and the clean pool. The family that runs the campground are all some of the nicest people I have ever met. They do whatever they can do to make your stay enjoyable. The sites are pretty tight, but they do an excellent job of getting you in your site in the best possible spot. The whole place is kept extremely clean. The only negatives (very minor) was the shower which you had to keep pressing every few seconds for water to continue out, and the Internet was a bit spotty at times. Would not hesitate recommending this campground for your stay near Gatlinburg. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful campground. The running streams are very relaxing and great to be next to. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The campground is a little on the small side, but offers fun activities for the kids on weekends. Have to agree with other reviewers that the push button showers could be upgraded, but the bathrooms themselves were immaculate. I would definitely visit this park again. If you have kids, this is the campground for you. There is constant entertainment and activities for the kids. We stayed in a stream side site which was level and clean. The management is extremely nice and helpful. They helped us back into our site from the minute we pulled into the campground. The campground, playground, and pool area are very nice and clean. The sites are somewhat close but have enough room to set up awning, slides, and table. The only negative with this campground is that it is 20 minutes from Gatlinburg so it is not very convenient if you plan to sightsee. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed a week and really enjoyed the park. The pros to the park were you felt like you were in the mountains away from it all. It had easy access to Gatlinburg, about a 15 minute drive. The stream that runs through the park is great, had lots of water that made for nice sleeping at night. The owners of the park are fantastic, they could not be more helpful or nice. Met us in a golf cart and showed us to our site, and then helped us back in. The cons to the park: the sites are very close to each other, this is the norm however in this area. We looked at several other RV parks while we were here and it was the same. The roads are gravel and could use a little more added to them: we had a lot of rain and it got muddy in spots. I would recommend sited 30-43, stay away from 54-60, these are right by the dump station. Overall it is a great place to stay, I would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

There are small but very beautiful sites (nearly all of them adjacent to one of the 3 mountain streams that run through the park). There are tons of activities for kids and families (pool, mini golf, playground, etc). They also have a nice outdoor movie theater that offers nightly movies. The owners very friendly and campground very clean. There is only one small drawback-- like a previous reviewer mentioned, showers are push button and non-adjustable for temperature. The water initially was freezing cold, and then turned too hot (nearly scalding temps). It was tolerable for adults but way too hot for kids. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent 5 days here (2 adults and 3 kids) and had a great time. We stayed in one of the premium, full hookup sites (48/49). It was worth the extra money to have a little extra space because I thought the sites were on the small side. The restrooms and showers were very clean. However, the showers were push button operated. In other words, you push a button and the shower would run for awhile (maybe 60 seconds). My wife complained because one of the showers would only run for about 10 seconds and you would have to push the button again. Also, the hot water is not adjustable. We spent most of our time at Dollywood and SplashCountry, but did swim in the pool at the campground (nice pool). The campground also had a nice game room and family activities at night. The camp store had all the essentials and was reasonably priced. The owners were very friendly and eager to help. While we were at Dollywood one day, a bad storm came through and one of the owners lowered my awning to protect it from the high winds. With that kind of thoughtfulness, we will definitely camp there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We just stayed at this campground and it was wonderful. The staff is amazing! They are so helpful in every way. They truly care about making sure that you enjoy your stay. They help you with backing into your site. They are so family friendly. That have water wars. I don't know who enjoys that more, the kids or the parents. Too much fun to watch! What a great campground. I can not say enough. Hollywood is an employee there and is so friendly and helpful. Just overall, wonderful. We had a creek site and it was just beautiful. Go here and enjoy!!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 6 days on our first official trip with our TT. I cannot say enough good things about this park.The Landry family makes you feel welcome from the second you pull in. They back you in to your site, and make sure you are OK before they leave you. They had movie every night, nice pool, store, game room. Wi-Fi worked great. They had bingo, kareoke, hay rides, and other great activities all of the time!! The utilities and the view of the stream were great. We will definitely visit again when we visit the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Our first time camping in this park..but will not be our last. Requested to view our campsite before I maked the decision to stay and the host had her son take us back on a large cart. I liked the spot but asked for the one next to it and she said no problem. My wife and I really enjoyed the mountain stream that we backed up to and really hated to leave but we will definitely be back when we can stay longer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent the entire week after Mother's Day at the Great Smokey Jellystone Campground. All-in-all, it was a great experience. There are only two reasons why I gave it a "9" instead of a "10": (1)The sewer hook-up for our site was up hill from our site. Since we were in a TT (and not a higher 5th Wheel or Motorhome), that made it near impossible to empty our tanks easily. We still had to go to the dump station at the end of our trip to empty them all the way. (2)The playground was very muddy. Having a three-year-old with us, this was unacceptable. If you are going to bill yourself as having a playground, it should be playable. These two small things were not enough to put a damper on our trip. I know that you don't want to read anything else about Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, or GSMNP, so I'll tell you about the campground and the immediate surrounding area (Cosby, TN). When we arrived, we were greated nicely by the son of the owner. The campground is run VERY well by the Landry family. We were led to our pull-through site by a golf cart and were guided onto the gravel pad. The site was not level, but it was close. There is a nice gameroom and store. They show family movies 6 nights a week (1 night is a talk about the GSMNP). Some of the titles as of May '09: "Bee Movie" and "Ratatouille". Good eats near the campground: Pizza: DJ's Deli. They are in a Marathon station about 1 mile north of the campground on US-321. They serve Hunt Brothers Pizza and it is delicious. Homestyle: Carver's Applehouse. This is on an apple orchard about 10 minutes north of the park on US-321. The food is wonderful and very affordable. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Campground is very nice with two very large streams. Sites are level and all the utilities worked great. Great playground and lots of activities for kids. It rained for most of the weekend but we made the most of it. I am relatively new to camping, but I can only hope that all owners are as helpful and nice as the owners of this park. They went above and beyond to make this a great weekend. Easter activities were great including hayride and egg hunts. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is an excellent park. The owners were wonderful hosts. The are very customer service oriented. Plenty of activities for kids. The only issue we had was my husband used the bathhouse and said that the water did not get very hot, so we took showers in the camper, but the bathhouses were very clean. We just returned from a 4 night stay at Jellystone. I had checked this website, and decided I wanted to stay closer in to Gatlinburg. I was so wrong! We could not find a nicer park that was closer! Jellystone was wonderful. The stream side sites are so relaxing! You will not find a campground near Gatlinburg with such a great stream running through it! The owner was exceptionally nice. I locked my keys in my car, and he came and got them out for me! He is a former police chief! The kid's activities were great! Yogi was great with the kids. I highly recommend this campground! This was our first trip pulling the camper to the Great Smoky Mountains and we were a bit nervous about finding a decent park open this late in the year. We found this park on RVparkreviews and could not have been more pleased. The previous reviewers were spot on in their description on how friendly the staff is. We had arrived after dark and the sons of the owners guided me into my lot. You do not see that kind of service often. Even this late in the year there were organized activities for the entire family. The sites are mostly along a fast moving creek that would have been wonderful to listen to at night had it not been so cold out. 20 degrees is a bit too cold to leave the windows open. Each lot has enough room for a slide and awning with room to spare. The campground is only 15 miles from Gatlinburg which made it convenient to commute to town. We will definitely be back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a fabulous park for families. Everything that your kids would want to do is right there. Especially on the weekends when they plan hayrides, crafts, face-painting, etc. When we arrived, the owners were out on the property, so we picked up the courtesy phone and they came to the office within seconds. They escorted us to our site, which was on a beautiful rushing stream. Our site (#28) was sloped towards the back so make sure you bring level blocks or wood to put under your jacks. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints about this terrific park. They had a very clean laundry room and the dryers worked great. It dried a big load of towels in 45 minutes. The store here is well stocked, the game room is full of fun games, putt putt, ping pong, pool tables, etc. I would stay here again, easy! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you have kids this is a great park. It is out of Gatlinburg about 15 miles but the road is good and straight. The owners are the nicest people you will meet. They want you to have a good time and will come by to see if you need anything. They have planned activities for the kids which includes hayrides with Yogi. Sites are gravel but shady. Showers were push button controlled but were clean.They were cleaned everyday. Laundry on site was in good working order and clean. They take pride in this campground and you can tell. The owners make you feel welcome and want you to return. I am planning on going back next year for a week if not sooner. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is a very well run campground. The owner was more than friendly and responded to our every request. He has a great collection of military memorabilia and took a lot of time to show it to our grandson. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is an awesome campground with awesome owners. We have never felt so welcome in a campground. Even though it was March and we were there on Spring Break it actually snowed our first night. The owner came around to make sure everyone had plenty of propane and heaters to keep warm throughout the night. He didn't want anyone getting too cold. They kept a constant check on all of the guests to make sure everyone had everything they needed and that everything was working correctly and they were happy. We will definitely be visiting this park again. Our kids loved it and we loved it. It is about 20 minutes from town, but I have yet to go to Gatlinburg and be close to town. The only way you can do that is to stay in a hotel on the strip. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is a great park with great owners. These are some of the nicest host's you will run in to. The park was spotless. The game room was great. The pool was nice. We had a site on the stream. The site wasn't huge, but we were happy with it. The only downside to this place was that it was a 20-30 minute drive any time you wanted to go somewhere. It is a bit out of the way. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Just got back from Gatlinburg and our stay at Great Smokey Jellystone Resort. This was our first stay and will not be our last. The bathrooms, facilities and campground are immaculate. I am giving the campground a 9+ because the sites are a little close together but if we as fellow campers are respectful it should not and was not a problem. We camped right on the stream and what a good nights' sleep you will get. The owner of the park escorted us to our site, helped guide me back in and offered any help we would need. Staff was friendly and even moved some firewood over to our site left by the site next to ours. Activities for kids everyday keeps them as active as they want to be. Saw a previous report about "a RV over 28ft", I saw a lot of vehicles; motorhomes and fifth wheels over that length and they fit just fine into the sites. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I was a bit concerned after reading a couple of the negative comments posted. However, I was very happy with the campground. Our site was wonderful. It backed up to a rushing stream. A canopy of trees left our site shady and cool. Having stayed at quite a few campgrounds in the area many times, I know that large sites are hard to come by. We were more than pleased with our site here. Our 33' Travel Trailer and Truck fit just fine. We were a very comfortable distance from our neighbors. However, a few of the sites in the campground are tight. Unfortunately, that is typical for campgrounds in the area. We love the shadiness of the campground. Some campgrounds in the area are more like concrete parking lots with no shade. So, this campground was a welcome relief. Bathhouses and grounds are kept immaculate. Wi-Fi and cable TV worked great. The owners escort you and help you in to your site. Nice playground, pool and miniature golf course. There were lots of planned activities including a hayride for the families along with a band Saturday night. The park owner, brought out his drum set and played along and he is quite impressive. All in all a super campground. I can't imagine the family being rude to anyone. They were never anything but nice and polite to us. Maybe the previous reviewer had a run in with a workcamper? As for the stream, I was happy to see some water in it. Drought has really effected the area. We hiked to a couple of waterfalls that, while still pretty, were considerably smaller. We had a very nice camping experience and made reservations to return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of those parks that you will either love or hate. The staff is probably the most helpful of any campground I have ever stayed in. Every camper, whether staying in a tent or the largest of motorhomes is escorted to their site and if needed helped to park and even set up. The campground has lots of activities for the kids including hayrides and visits from Yogi. The pool was very clean. All restroom and shower facilities were clean. The part that you might not like are the many small sites, especially in the tent area. Although advertized as big rig friendly, many sites would be very hard to get in to without the help of the staff. A lot of the sites are also not very level and none have concrete pads or patios. The park has a very "woodsy" atmosphere, much like a National Forest or state park, which I do prefer but lots of users of these sites don't, since it interferes with their satellite dish and wifi. Overall a nice park that I would not mind staying in again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I agree with the other reviews that indicate that there are; clean bathrooms and kids activities. However, our campsite, and many of the campsites, that we saw, were so small that we were too uncomfortable to enjoy those aspects. When we set up our campsite, we set up our pop-up and a screen room. The site was so small that when the screen room was set up, it was touching both our camper and the camper next to ours. On the first day of our trip, we had planned to fish in the streams around the campground as the web site clearly indicates that fishing is an activity available at the campground. Unfortunately, there were very few places where the stream was deeper than ankle deep - we didn't fish because any fish in that water would have had their fins sticking out. When we went to the office to ask if there was the possibility of switching to a bigger site, and to see if there was a fishing section that we had overlooked. Opening with, " 'We have 2 questions for you", and before waiting for the questions, we received a response of, " and I have 2 answers for you, no and no", in a tone that did not appear to be taken as joke. While the rest of the staff was friendly, in the end, no other site was available, no fishing, and the "no refund for any reason policy" held out. We were so disappointed that we ended up leaving 3 days early, even though we had already paid for the full amount of time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was not our first stay at Jellystone. However, it keeps getting better and better. It is a wonderful campground. Great activities for the kids. Bathhouses, laundry and grounds kept immaculately clean. The office/store was redone over the winter making check-in during busy times easier. We love the location. And, we love the owners. They do everything possible to ensure that you have a wonderful stay at the campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We are currently staying here at the park and are having an excellent time. The creek that runs through the campground is beautiful. The noise from the rushing water helps drown out any outside noise and noise from campers around you. The campground was smaller than I originally thought from looking at the website, but it is still very nice. I noticed some people commented on the lots being close together, but having stayed in other campgrounds near resort type areas, these sites were actually larger than the average. We passed many other campgrounds on our way into Gatlinburg today and talked about how Jellystone seemed to be the best out of all of them. All the lots are very shaded and the campground is well maintained and landscaped. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned 3 times a day and the staff here prides themselves on the cleanliness of their facilities. The owner and staff are super-friendly and very helpful. We had a speedy check-in and were unloaded and set-up, ready to relax in an hour's time. The campground is 10-15 minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg - which we love because we wanted to be removed from all the hustle and bustle of that area. This park just recently reopened after being closed for the winter so there aren't too many other campers here. It certainly is very nice and relaxing! We would definitely come again! An earlier review said, “If you have a RV over 28 ft. forget this park“. I completely disagree. I don’t know what problems they had but we stayed in 2 sites (45 one night and 47 two nights) with our 35’ Fifth Wheel with no problem at all. The owner takes you to and directs you into the site. A beginner with absolutely no backing experience could put a large rig in there with no problem. There are some sites that a large trailer would not fit into but they asked how long our trailer was when we registered and gave us an appropriate site. I recommend this campground to anyone, especially families. Yogi came around and entertained the kids one night and the next night there was a hayride with Yogi. My kids loved the trip. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our very first camping experience. We couldn't have picked a better site. The kids (ages 6, 8, and 10) loved it. They especially liked the hayrides with Yogi. The owners were friendly and helpful. The sites were gravel and we had a bit of trouble leveling (probably because we are newbies). We enjoyed having a campfire beside the stream, it made for a relaxing evening of s'mores and ghost stories. Because we had such a great experience, we can hardly wait to go again! One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. Our site was right on the rushing stream. Plenty of room between us and our neighbor. Pool was great. Playground was great; a very good experience for us and our children. The hayride with Yogi was quite an experience for my youngest. The man that owns the campground escorted us to our site. Very very nice guy! Sons and other workers were great as well. Did not care for the showers... it is timed so you must keep pushing the button to make it start up again and we could not adjust the water temperature. (too hot for me) This is a MINOR detail for us, however. Bath houses were always immaculate as were the sites. Lots of activities for the kids. Just a really great campground!! This is our favorite campground ever. Unfortunately, we came home and called to make reservations for the future and were told they will not guarantee sites. We preferred certain sites over others. So, it looks like we will stick with the other campgrounds we like that allow us to know what site we have before driving several hour to get there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is an outstanding little park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sites along the stream are very peaceful. The lots have plenty of gravel so when it rained be were not tromping through mud. The showerhouse was always clean and very modern. The pool is very nice and there is also a 9 hole miniature golf course which is well maintained. This is now our favorite campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground was excellent. I have 3 kids ages 5 to 11 and they loved all the activities available. The owners worked extremely hard to ensure that each camper has a great vacation as they are on site. The campground was kept extremely clean. All sites are gravel and a tent area is available. Wow! What a great park! This is a very small park and their sites are very close to each other, almost on top of each other and their roads are gravel. But, the staff more than makes up for all that, what a great staff! When we stayed here it was a holiday and it was full, there was a line to register and the staff didn't want us to wait so they went ahead and brought us into the campground and told us to register later. This was only our second camping trip so here is another example of what makes this place great, they drove a golf cart in front of us and took us directly to our site, this is a small campground and I know we would have eventually got backed in but the owner and about 3 other guys helped us get into our tight spot. They were Great. They came by everyday and picked up garbage. Yogi Bear was out every evening, the kids could have their pictures taken with him. The kids loved the playground and you could hear the stream when you were outside. The park showed movies every night which were free, that was nice. Miniature golf, pool, ice creams, arcade, it was all great. Gift shop was nice, registration was quick, very close to town without having to always deal with all the Gatlinburg traffic. We will go back! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is beautiful! The owners are new and are very dedicated to making your stay enjoyable. Majority of the sites are on the water and the whole place is very well landscaped. The park is really nice. The sites are a little close but we had no trouble with our 32' trailer. The owners are awesome and will help you in any way possible. If you have a RV over 28ft forget this park!! This sites are very, very small. I had to park my truck and walk back to my site because the site was so small. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The river front sites are very peaceful. If you have a pop up or small trailer this is a nice park, but not for any unit of any size. Close to town but away enough to be quite and relaxing. This is another one of those campgrounds that claims to family loving but want to charge extra for everything and everyone. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice campground. It is small and the sites are a little close together. For the area, this is one of the nicest rv parks that we found. The owners are very nice and will go out of their way to help. We were greated when we arrived. They led us to our site and helped us set up. This is a great place if you have children. This is a fantastic campground. Plenty of shade, sites were large and level. Most back up to one of the several streams that run through the CG. Owner escorted us to the site, helped us back in and level the TT. Actually he told me if I parked the TT where he directed to I would be level side to side and I was. Sites and road are gravel but even after 2 1/2 inches of rain overnight they were never muddy or was any standing water noticed. Playground, game room, carpet golf and pool for the kiddies. Fishing from stream is free and no license is required. CG was nice and quite even with a good number of children playing. Stream noise was pleasant and helped drown out other noises. Store was adequately stocked and staff were extremely pleasant. We will definitely return, if not this fall, next spring. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We really enjoyed our week long stay here. We had a site right on the river/stream. The campground staff were very friendly and helpful. The campground is not large but they make use of their space, nestled into the Smoky Mountains. There were campground activities for the kids and lots of nature to explore. It's about 20 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, which some might not like if they enjoy being closer to the hustle and bustle. We thought it was wonderful and would definitely return. Be aware, though, the weather in the spring in unpredictable. During our trip we experienced temperatures in the 80's one day to snow flurries by the end of the week. But, that's what makes camping fun! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We went camping this time to get away from the kids and ironically chose a CG that was tailored toward children. They had a smallish putt-putt course, average pool, nightly movies for kids, and a smallish gameroom. It is nicely shaded and the owners were very nice. Two small streams run through the CG. The sites were too close together for us and afforded very little privacy. We didn't hate it, but we wouldn't go back because we only live 45 minutes away and wouldn't be interested in anything other than just hanging around camp and doing nothing. If you are looking for a small, kid friendly CG near enough to Gatlinburg, this would be a good choice. A plus for us was the cable T.V. hook-up. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground was one of the best we have ever stayed in. The staff is wonderful. The campgrounds were very clean and well kept. Clean restrooms and showers. The sites are big enough accommodate a large RV with slides and still extend the awning. Very nice and well stocked camp store.The stream side camp sites have the stream running right through the back of the site with the fire rings on the bank. Makes for a relaxing evening. Planned activities for kids. Movies nightly. Pool was under construction at the time. The campground host not only shows you to your site, but helps you to back in and level your rv. Wonderful place and I can't say enough good things about this campground. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

12 miles from G'burg on US-321. Seemed longer, but drive was OK. Park easy to get to from I-40 @ Newport, TN. Very nice owners and staff. Very quiet when we were there, even though half full. Nightly movies for kids, daily kids activities, and a nice playground and pool. Didn't use bathhouse, but laundry room was A+ clean. Gravelled dirt interior roads and sites. Did not get sloppy in rain. Heavily wooded overhead, open at ground level. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Do not go here unless you are looking only for a place to park. The campground is for sale and has been neglected for quite some time it seems. I have stayed here twice and would not return. The campers next door had problems with their sewer hook up and my site was flooded with the overflow. Both times I have stayed, the campground has had water and sewer problems with plumbers working. There is a pool available but apparently it leaks, there was a water hose stuck in the pool and running the entire time we were there. They advertise RV supplies but I did not see much available. The lady working in the office was very nice but that can not make up for the overall condition of the campground. This could be a nice campground if new owners are found that will take an interest and spend some money. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

When I made reservations, I was informed that they didn't take credit cards, and I would have to send full payment by mail before they would hold the reservations. I know now why this was the only campground in Gatlinburg area with sites available over July 4th. The campsites were tiny. I had a exceptionally diffucult time parking and removing my camper. I had to wait till some folks pulled out before I could leave, and this was supposed to be a pull through site. My truck and camper just fit the site with no room extra for the awning. The bathrooms were dirty and hot because the air conditioner was broken. The dirt roads leading into the park were narrow, crooked, and pothole laden. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else. This is likely the worst campground in which I've stayed. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We have a peaceful site right on the lake, but many bees. We did not realize the Resort was so far from the town of Gatlinburg, but that was our mistake for not researching. Staff was helpful. Very quiet place when we visited in May. Almost all sites are taken by park models...many older, but most sites are well kept. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice landscaping and facilities. Most of the spots are seasonal and all (with one exception) were very well maintained and attractive. With the stream and lake, there are many scenic spots and all the spots have very nice fire pits. We had a very nice spot on the lake (#372), and the lady that lived next door was a permanent resident and very nice. The roads are all paved which means no dust and good bike riding for the kids. Since we were there during the off-season, some things were closed during the week, but they let us keep the shuffleboard equipment so we could play during the week which was very nice. One very minor complaint is that one shower stall was out of order the whole time we were there, but there were 2 others that were very well kept and we never had to wait for a shower. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Beautiful setting! Great landscaping. Nice pools. One of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed at. Only problem was backing in, the person across the street had a big truck hanging out in the road and we had a hard time getting around it. Wish we lived closer would consider parking permanently. I really liked this campground, but my husband thought it seemed like a subdivision, because there are alot of permanent trailers. The grounds were impeccable and the amenities were resort-like. The sites were pretty close together, but alot of the trailers were unoccupied since they are permanent residences, so it was very quiet even on Memorial Day Weekend. I would return mainly because of the amenities and the family-oriented atmosphere. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Been camping for three years now and this by far, is the best campground we have ever been to. All sites are super clean and well landscaped, with large patios. Our site was stream front and very very quiet. Only complaint is that there are lots of long term campers and the sites where pretty close. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here over Labor Day weekend. It is a very clean and accommodating campground. Most people there are permanents but they are very friendly. Staff was very helpful. The only downside for us was the 30 amp plug melted our cord and we had to fix right after setting up, but the maintenance man left his dinner to come and bring us the needed supplies and we were up and running within 30 minutes. We camped right beside the creek with a lovely stone balcony. The fishing was less than desired and the convenience store onsite did not stock bait. All in all we really enjoyed ourselves and would return again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, one of the originals. Some of the turns were tight with a big rig, but the lots were larger. Laundry area very well kept, snack shop great with hot food available. Only 10 miles from Gatlinburg. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were pleasantly surprised with this park. While the address is for Gatlinburg it actually is in Cosby. It has gated access for entrance. The park sits between the fork of two creeks that meet at the end of the park. There is also a man made lake in the middle of the campground. We were on site 346 on the lake. The lake has fountains in the middle. Many of the stream sites have stone patios built right up to the stream. It also has 3 bathhouses which were average. There is a dog walk. While it has 376 sites a good majority of them are what I would call permanent campers. Some of them look like a cross between a camper and a mobile home but they are attractive nonetheless. 28 of those are rentable. There is plenty of shade on most sites. Most sites also have really nice stone fire pits. They have an olympic size swimming pool, tennis courts with lights that are in great shape, volley ball, shuffleboard, basketball goals, ping pong, and a putt putt course that has seen better days. The good thing about all of this is they are all free if you go to the desk and ask for whatever you need to play. I was impressed with this. There is also a snack shop at the pool that is basically a restaurant with really good food and ice cream. It has the usual arcade games and pool. They They also have an adult only pool at a different location. The Greenbrier entrance to the Smokey Mountain National Park is 7 miles towards Gatlinburg. This is a nice not as well known entrance to the park that has some very good trails such as Ramsey Cascades. A drawback is they don't have grills on the sites so you have to bring your own. The sites are close but not to bad. The landscaping was beautiful as well. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rate shown is Good Sam discount. Site was gravel back-in and level. Beautiful landscape with lots of shade trees. Garbage dumpster was at the entrance to campground so it can be a good walk from some sites. Cable TV limited to 7 channels and most of them were snowy. WI-FI was limited range. It kept cutting out on me. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was the best most nicely maintained campground we have stayed at in the 10 months of travel we have made. From the point we entered the grounds, you could tell that the owners truly cared for their property and it carries over to the campers enjoyment of the carefully planted flowers. Within an hour of our setting up, the owner was over to welcome us, which they did throughout our visit. We were invited to a Blues fest in their club room, which was really enjoyable and featured some authentic Tennessee Bluegrass musicians. We enjoyed our time there so much, that we extended our stay and would stay here again without a doubt. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a flower-filled, quiet, spotless park that's just far enough away from Gatlinburg to miss all the traffic and crowds. The owners are delightful people and fun to visit with. The ladies shower room is decorated with sunflowers and bright yellow walls, and immaculate. I used the laundry twice and was impressed with how clean it was and how reasonably priced. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Camped here with a group of 8 camping families, most with young children and it was fabulous. Owners were very "hands-on" and visited each site at least daily if you were outside. Bathrooms and showers were spotless, even after the rain, wind and storms. Owners fixed omelet breakfasts for everyone in the campground on Sunday morning in the clubhouse. Cleanest campground we have stayed at. Quiet, well maintained. All gravel sites. Very helpful owners, gave us tips on hiking trails, road conditions, even gave the kids ice cream out of her own freezer since it was too early in the season for the campground store to stock the freezer. Hiking trail into the park about 100 yards from the campground. Nice small playground. Sites 16 and 18 recommended. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice campground. The hosts are wonderful. I am pretty sure they stopped by our campsites three or four times during the weekend. The paved roads and well manicured grounds make for a beautiful setting. Extra clean too! Our camping club is planning another trip here in early 2010. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great campground about 15 minutes or so outside of Gatlinburg. It is close enough to allow for trips into town, but far enough out to get away from the traffic and noise. All sites have full hookups and many are nicely shaded. The sites were good sized and there were sites to handle any size rig. The facilities were very clean and the cable TV and Wi-Fi worked great. For us, the best thing about this campground were the owners. They were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us happy. They stopped by to chat with us daily and were sincerely interested in making our stay a success. We stayed here for 9 nights and will definitely stay here again: hopefully longer next time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We pulled in on Saturday night and my dd20 came down with a fever with suspected H1N1. Soon my husband and I had it and we were in our RV for the next 2 weeks. Owner couple checked on us daily and even brought over homemade soup to help with the healing process. We have never stayed at a campground where we were made to feel more like family in a very thoughtful way. When we finally recovered enough to get out we were directed to hidden breathtaking scenic areas that matched our strength levels and given wonderful coupons for local shows. Definitely listen to their advise on getting to the campground and getting around the area. Three different nights, they had musical entertainment and they kindly made sure we knew about all of it. There is a little restaurant called Cobbly Nob Grocery, Cafe & Pizza that delivers after 5 P.M. Great chicken wings and hamburgers. This campground is one of the only ones in Gatlinburg to stay open year-round and we will definitely go back. We feel like family now. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a small, privately owned campground. There is one loop and there are approximately 45 sites total. All sites have full hookups. As others have stated, the owners were extremely friendly yet not intrusive. I really felt that they cared about our stay and appreciated our business. I agree with the previous reviewer; approach the park from the east rather than going through Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. As for the park itself, the sites were too close together for our liking however all the facilities were very well maintained. The Wi-Fi was hit and miss; the cable was pretty weak with only a few channels offered. The restrooms were cleaned fairly well but I wouldn't consider them "spotless." Nonetheless they were clean enough for me. There wasn't much of a camp store but who needs it with Gatlinburg only 13 miles away. I also observed a few other parks in the area and I'm confident that this is one of the best. If we ever go back to the "Gatlinburg zoo", we will most likely stay at this campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was a great campsite. The owners are very nice and the grounds were fantastic. A little close to each other though, but not bad. We stayed at #24 and that seemed to be the best site. You may want to ask for this site. The only reason why I didn't give this park a 10 is because the cable TV was not good at all. Seemed to be just hooked up to an antenna. Also the Wi-Fi was almost non-existant. That was probably because our site was far from the office. Remember: this is a little ticky tack on my part because why go to the Smokey's to watch TV and get online? But hey, I am just letting you know. If we go back to the Smokey's one day I won't even look for another RV Campground: will go to this one! Just a side note: I looked at several other RV parks while driving around and while some were nice, alot of them were just one RV stacked on the other. Also very important: listen to the directions on how to get there by the owner. Do not go through Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg: wow what a traffic mess! Going around the mountain on I-40 is so much faster. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a fantastic campground with the best owner/operators we've ever encountered. The facility is immaculate, with beautifully maintained sites. It is a quiet park, away from the crowds of Gatlinburg, but close enough to drive: easily within 10 minutes. Absolutely beautiful fall colors in October, and the owners decorate the park nicely for the season. On one rainy day of our stay, the owner conducted an Asian food cooking class and made sure everyone received tons of samples! She and her husband, go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, and made us feel like family! They gave us valuable information about activities in the area, as well as helpful directions to "secret" non-tourist sights. We will definitely return to this park the next time we visit Gatlinburg, TN. We camped here in a Motorhome.

From the moment we pulled in it was easy to see that this campground was beautiful. We arrived early afternoon and checked in at the office. We were greeted by the very friendly owners that gave us all the info on the surrounding areas. I loved how we were also given all the best kept secrets of the area. The bathrooms, pool, playground and laundry room were immaculate! The campsites were pretty level and kept clean. We spent almost 2 weeks here and we really had a hard time leaving. Smokybear is located about 15 minute from downtown Gatlinburg where you'll easily find places for groceries, restaurants and tons of shopping. Hiking was awesome thanks to wonderful advice! We hope to return next year for a longer stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Smoky Bear Campground is very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is one of the cleanest campgrounds we have ever stayed at. It is not large but that gives the staff/owners more time to spend with each client. There are some seasonal sites but they appear to be near the road where there may be a lot of noise. Pool is nice with a whirlpool. Kid's playground is nearly new and well kept up. Use your GPS to find the campground, the coordinates on their web site take you directly to the office. My only complaint is the distance to Gatlinburg: about 13 miles. But I can live with that. I would stay at this CG again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

After having a terrible experience, we checked into this campground at the last minute. In this case, we found out that things happen for a reason. This place was outstanding. The business is family owned and while we were there we saw four generations of the family. This family is amongst the nicest people I have ever met. Even when I complained about my firewood being damp, they were courteous and kind. Mind you, the firewood was damp because the humidity was about 200% and was by no means their fault. They even offered to give me money back for the wood. After I left, I felt bad about even complaining because they seemed genuinely upset that I had a complaint. We had a site directly next to a flowing stream. The water was so clean you could drink it. The sound of the stream lulled me to sleep every night. The pool was well kept and so were the rest rooms. Awesome Place. Our favorite campground out of our 3 week trip. Everything was clean. The owners went out of their way to help us w/ several issues and to make our stay excellent. We will gladly return! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We traveled here with 4 other families to visit the National Parks and Gatlinburg. After reading previous reviews of the campground, I was confident that I was staying at the right place for us. After arriving, I definitely know this was the best place for us in the area. The owners are very friendly, more than accommodating, and really know the area attractions well. They can give great recommendations based on your interests, kids ages (if you have any), and tell you where to save your money. Although not harassing, the owners walked the park many times each day, and were more than accessible. The park is very clean from the bathrooms to the heated pool. Some sites are bigger than others. We easily backed our 40' fifth wheel into our site. The pull thru's are smaller sites, but they are designed for those who aren't going to spend any time but sleeping at their camper. The pull thru's are also close to the pool area, so be warned of noises. Highway noise was good "white noise" but if you want quiet, request a site in the back of the park. I highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a place in the area. It is about a 15 minute drive into Gatlinburg. You will see other campgrounds on the way, and from the road, can't say that they look better than this one! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very tough not to give this park a 9 or 10 based on its cleanliness and the awesome and friendly owners who take obvious pride in their park. My only issues with this park that others should be aware of: the big rig pull throughs are very narrow and there is a lot of noise of off US 321 next to the campground. The back in sites looked fairly wide, but the pull throughs are so narrow, that there is not even enough room to put the picnic table or a lounger next to your rig without blocking access or sloping up the hill toward the next site. That being said, I would definitely recommend this park if you are mainly planning to use it as a base for exploring the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Maybe the nicest site we have ever camped at. Everything was very clean. Site seemed very roomy to me even with three slides. Concrete pull throughs are the best. Old settlers trail across the street and to the left about 200 feet is not to be missed for hikers. Old cabin ruins and many creeks. Owners give sheet with hints on enjoying the area. Take the roads recommended by campground to get there to avoid the traffic. Well maintained and landscaped. I will be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the very best campgrounds we have visited. If they had a motto it would be Clean, Clean, Clean. Every site is spotless as is the pool and playground area. A very peaceful setting after a hectic day in Gatlinburg, Pidgeon Forge, or a day trip in the Smokies. Owner's could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable: Would not think twice about visiting in the future. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean bathrooms, campground, pool, laundry. Has a group fire pit and all out kitchen/conference room for rally s / parties/etc. Trash pickup everyday at 10 a.m. Playground/basketball for kids. Some sites were level, shaded, cemented. It is about 15 miles from Gatlinburg and I40. Back roads take you to Dollywood/Pigeon Forge/Seiverville quicker/easier then going the main strip. Owners very accommodating, helpful, and nice. Last few days we were there we kept smelling septic odor (down by sites 18-22) but no where else in campground. There was no water (besides pool) which my dogs could play in. Some seasonal/full-time people (wouldn't know it) and some sites back up to main road but buffered by trees. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A very clean park with pretty rockscapes and flowering plants throughout. The management is very nice and honestly eager for you to be happy there. My biggest complaint is the narrowness of the pull throughs.They are on a slope and the available area for a patio is small rocks on the slope. Other than that, a great park! This park is spotless. Cement slab, very level, bordered in gravel, grass and flowers, with trees in between sites, a fire ring, all in all very pleasant. The pool is beautiful and clean, big for the size of the park. Although we do not use the Bath House I went in to see it, and it is spotless. The owners are very nice and helpful, she wrote a 3 page brochure on things to do in the area, which we used extensively. Also gave us great advise where to eat, shop for groceries etc. There is not a cigarette butt, candy wrapper or bottle cap in sight I cannot get over how clean this campground is. Although is is located on a busy street the hedge inbetween the campground and the street makes it all muted, and at night there is hardly any traffic, therefor we where not disturbed. Overall a very pleasant experience to stay here and we will gladly stay here again and again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was the best campground we've stayed at during the last 10 months and 45 campgrounds we've stayed in. There is a very comfortable feeling here and the owners go out of their way to make it that way. The grounds are meticulously landscaped and clean. Minutes after a rainstorm, there was no standing water anywhere to be seen. The drainage and foliage is excellent. There is some highway noise during the day from Highway 321 to Gatlinburg, but it wasn't obtrusive (my wife didn't notice it at all). There is plenty of room for big rigs (ours is 42' long plus the truck). You can't go wrong staying here, period. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We love this place. Small, quiet, clean!! We have camped their twice now, this last trip was for over a week. The owners are very friendly and keep a clean campground. If you want to be right in the heart of Gatlinburg then this is not the place for you, but if you want to enjoy the mountains and have an easy drive into Gatliburg then we highly recommend visiting Smoky Bear. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground has all the amenities, including cable TV and sewer hookups. The management was very friendly! The space between campsites was average. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Small but very nice campground with very friendly and efficient staff.(even let us borrow instead of buy an adapter). Staff seemed to be working every day we were there on some type of maintenance or improvement and it was obvious that they took pride in what they did. The campground is somewhat remote, but is within easy driving distance of many things to do. We used a very nice and new concrete pull-thru site. Would camp here again. Pool area closed due to winter weather, but looked nice and well kept. Bathrooms were spotless!!! Basketball goal and small playground nice additions. The owners make this park what it is. They appear to truly be trying hard to make your visit as nice as possible. The staff was EXTREMELY nice during our visit. I had a problem with the RV water heater during my visit and they offered to have a staff member come by to help me. I just needed to remember where I had stored the spare part! My ONLY major complaint was the pad. The angle is enough to be troublesome. I will say they quickly told me they are replacing the one we were on soon, and I have no reason to believe they won't. The park's a bit far out too, BUT access was VERY easy from I-40 if you follow their instructions. We would stay there again, but we do try a lot of different ones up there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have nothing put praise for this campground. After leaving, our towed vehicle broke loose. My daughter went back to the campground where a camp worker went out of his way to assist her. We made it home with no more problems. We'd definitely return here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground for families!! The owners of this park are what make it incredible. They really enjoy kids and make it a great experience. They knew my kids by name by the end of our long weekend. We were going to go into Gatlinburg for some sightseeing and shopping, but we were having such a great time at the campground we decided to stay there the entire time we were camping. There are a lot of activities and games. The stream is great to play in (even though it is too small for tubing). It is located about 15 minutes from Gatlinburg, but we enjoyed being further from the crowd. This is a must visit campground if you camp with children. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Very clean campground. Spotless rest rooms. Nice helpful owners. Not near downtown Gatlinburg attractions but worth the 15-20 minute drive. Kids enjoyed the campground but wished they would have had a game room. We didn`t hear traffic noise from our site. We had a flat on our trailer the day we were leaving, one of the workers recommended a garage 1 mile away. The garage fixed it ($8) in about an hour and we were on our way. The owners of the campground are wonderful. On arrival, they took us to the site and helped us get backed in. Any time we needed anything all week, they were willing to help. The sites are gravel and grass and were a little hard to get the rv level. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. There were a few planned activities during our stay and a bluegrass band one night was especially good. Our kids loved the playground and swimming pool. Our only complaint was that the campground was 20 minutes from Gatlinburg and 30+ from Pigeon Forge. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This truly one of the cleanest campgrounds we have ever stayed in. The restrooms were always spotless. Small campground with only 49 sites, but the owners were always visible and checking on you to see if everything is ok. Small pool and hot tub. Campground was on 321 but all campgrounds in the area are on that road. Owners gave directions to get to campground that did not take you through the traffic areas of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We will come to this campground again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is so very nice. It is a smaller campground, but that gives the owners more time to cater to you. The owners were always checking in on us and making sure everything was going good. It is the cleanest campground I have ever camped at. The owners are extremely friendly (very easy going) and are ALWAYS working on keeping up the campground. Nice size sites with nice gravel areas and flowers all over. Nice reck hall you can use at anytime. Nice pool and hot tub, very clean. Bathrooms and showers were ALWAYS clean!!! Yes it is along highway 321 but all the campgrounds in this area are. We went on drive thoughs of a couple of other campgrounds we had considered before deciding on Smoky Bear and I am SOOOO glad we chose Smoky Bear. I would go back again for sure!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The owners are very nice and working toward improvements but they aren't there yet. I was assigned a spot and then asked to move because an improvement was being done. The cable was very fuzzy and was corrected by staff on first site but I gave up when the same fuzziness appeared on the 2nd site. The electricity frequently cut off - especially at night. This occurred on both sites. I will have my unit checked to make sure the problem is not internal to my unit but I would have appreciated a bit more response than "oh really?". It would seem though that if the problem is within my unit it would occur during similar situations i.e. when the microwave and tv are on together or coffeepot and microwave, etc. This was not the case. Frequently there were no appliances on (late at night) and the power would go on and off. The sites are close together with no privacy between. It wasn't crowded though so this was not an issue for me but I think it would be if I was here during regular season. I think the park has potential - it's just not there yet. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It's only February, but my husband and I are already looking forward to returning to Smoky Bear Campground. This will be our third year camping there and consider it our "home away from home." We've camped at other campsites, and both agree this is our favorite. Our grandchildren love the play area and pool. The owners are friendly and make us feel welcome. If weather permits, they'll provide entertainment and free hotdogs and all the trimmings around a cozy fireplace. It's a good way to meet and get aquainted with the neighbors. The groundkeepers are on their "toes" seeing that everything is taken care of around the campground. I'll have to say we only get about 6 channels on TV, but who has time to watch when there's so much else to do? We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

the cg is the nicest one on hwy 321 and the cheapest. The grounds are clean and sites were clean. Trash pickup every day. Have table and fire ring with no grill top. Good roads from I40 to cg. Very nice staff that worked every day we were there raking leaves and cleaning. Bathhouse is great. The only problems i had was my site and a few more were down hill bad, the tounge of trailer was on the ground. Still wasn't enough and sites were closer than we like them too be, but as we seen most were close in the area. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We were very disappointed. First the pool and spa were closed up(event hough we were told it would still be open), it was 80+ when we arrived,the spa would have been fine. The owner said it was too much work and too expensive to keep open for maybe one person. Another problem was they advertised free breakfast on Sunday, that was cancelled due to health regs. Last disappointment was according to their calendar there was to be a pet costume contest. We had made our outfits for our pups, and that was not even mentioned. The reason I am stating all these things is because the owner called on our cell phone while we were traveling and none of these things were mentioned,because we would probably look for another location closer to Pigeon Forge. We picked this place due to the extras offered. It was also advertised right at Smokey Mountain entrance. It is at least a 25 min. ride to town depending on traffic. The site that was assigned to us was very small and over a cliff,we have a rear entry door and it would have been hanging over the cliff.Not one other person even said HELLO the entire time we were there. All in all it was very disappointing, and we would not return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a wonderful campground about 8 miles outside Gatlinburg. Campsites are wooded and fairly wide. We checked out several campgrounds during our visit and found that Smoky Bear had some of the most spacious campsites. Most are gravel, but there are several paved pull through sites available for big rigs. Each campsite had a fire ring and picnic table. We never saw a piece of trash.......not even a scrap of paper laying anywhere in the campground. It is immaculate. This campground is nicely landscaped and spotless. During our visit, we saw the owner setting out new plants. The owners are some of the nicest people we have ever met. A owner came down to our campsite after we checked in and asked if we needed help in setting up. He went out of his way to get information for us about local attractions. The swimming pool and hot tub were closed for the season, but appeared to be very well maintained. The bathrooms/showers are some of the cleanest/nicest we have ever seen. They were actually decorated!! Paint, wallpaper, curtains, pictures and flowers were in each bathroom. They were spotless. I'm sure the owners went in and cleaned the restrooms several times a day. I never saw a single water spot on the faucets!! Nice campstore had basic items and firewood. There is a nice playground available for children. There is also an area around a fire pit for groups of campers. There are two rental cabins in the campground. There are only two negatives I should mention. The cable TV only has 5 channels. The campground is right on highway 321, so there is a little traffic noise. That's why I will give Smoky Bear a "9" rating instead of a "10". However, every other campground in Gatlinburg is located on a highway too. These two minor items certainly would not keep us from going back. Smoky Bear is an awesome campground, and we will always camp here when we are in Gatlinburg. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was our first time staying in an RV park and we chose Smoky Bear Campground after doing internet research. It met our expectations and more. The owners are very nice and friendly and made it a point to walk around the campground and chat. The sites were very clean and shaded. They offer two cabins and three RV's for rent for those who don't own their own. We rented the Chateau (25 footer) and with four people in the family, it was snug, but perfect for our needs. The price was comparable to a hotel and slightly less, plus we got the benefit of campfires and nature to relax with. The bathrooms and laundry were very clean as was the pool. The hot tub was broken at the time, but the owner was aware and trying to get it fixed. Unfortunately, it didn't get fixed while we were there, but the little kids used it as a kiddie pool. They held a cookout the first night we were there. Free hot dogs for everyone. Afterward, the kids participated in fun games and won prizes. On the Fourth of July, a barbeque contest was held. My father, who was camping with us, won first place for his pulled pork and ribs. His prize was very generous and he can't wait to go back. At night, the capground was quiet. No excess noises and was very peaceful. I highly recommend Smoky Bear Campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

AWESOME PARK! After driving through several parks in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas, we thought we would never find anything with any significant shade. We were so pleased to find this park. Our site actually backed into the edge of the Smoky Mountains National Park! The landscaping was beautiful, with many flowers in bloom. The bathrooms, which are centrally located, were absolutely the finest I have seen at any campground. They were spotless!!! I can't emphasize this enough. It seemed as if someone was there to immediately clean up after anyone used the restroom or shower. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating. The only drawbacks were that the heater for the pool and the hot tub was broken, making the pool a little chilly and the hot tub not worth using. However, the owner indicated that the heater would be repaired soon. All in all, this was a wonderful camping experience that we would recommend highly to anyone. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Great campground away from all the hustle and noise of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. That is the main reason we chose this campground. Easy directions to the campground avoiding all the traffic was great!! Very friendly and helpful with directions and all our questions. Had satellite TV connection which was a plus. Nice drive to Pigeon Forge to the outlet malls through the backroads avoiding the traffic - was wonderful and very scenic!! We will definitely be back!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is for non peak time. They have a very lovely CG and have nice sites and a nice club house and pool and hot tub too. It is easy in and out and they have nice full hookups. Easy access to the town of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge (owners will show you a back way). We went to see if we want to hold a rally there and decided that it will be a great park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped at Smoky Bear in September 2003. Our overall experience was positive. The owner/hosts were very friendly. The campground included a camp store, cable tv(5 channels), small playground with basketball court, and a few cabins for rent. We were especially impressed with the extra clean bath house. We've camped at several commercial campgrounds and Smoky Bear has the cleanest bath house of all. The pool was heated to a warm 85 degrees which felt nice on late September morning. Even better was the hot tub. Like most commercial campgrounds, the sites at Smoky Bear are a little too close together for those who like solitude, however during our value season stay we and a few others pretty much had the campground to ourselves. Sites were a mix of shade and open with an abundance of decroative gravel, water, electric, and cable tv at all sites. The big rig drive thru sites are paved. A seperate tent camping area was available with limited services. My only complaints about this campground were the bugs and sound of traffic of nearby Highway 321. Otherwise, we had a good experience. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

My family has camped at several parks over the past two seasons and I am sad to say that this park provided us with our first and only negative experience. I booked these reservations well in advance and requested that my site be near the playground. When I arrived, I was directed to a site that was as far from the play area as you can possibly be. The site was tucked up in the furthest corner of the campground. The desk clerk told me it had a nice view and that the kids would love the stream that the site overlooked. The site was smaller than the rest of the sites and the so called "stream" was a trickle of running water about 2 inches deep. There was not even enough room for us to set our usual gear out. When I went to the front office to request a new site, I was told that they would accommodate me. I saw several sites in the main area and near the playground that were open and requested to be moved there. I was told that although the sites were available they were not available to my family because they did not allow pop-ups in the main area. Mind you, my "pop-up" is brand new. I was given the attitude that pop-up campers were an eye sore and needed to be hidden in the back area of the park. I was also told that my kids were not allowed to ride their scooters and that if they wished to use the play equipment an adult would need to be physically at the playground with them. Mu children are 6 and 8. While I do keep them within eyesight, they are at an age where I do not need to be 3 feet from them at all times. I am a police officer and understand the principles of keeping children safe mind you. The attitude of the staff towards my family and my pop-up were both demeaning and condescending. If this park does not welcome pop-ups and children they should advertise that and should not have booked my reservations. They especially should not have told me that I would be near the playground and that the park was child friendly. The environment of the park is sterile and appears to be set up as a park for senior citizens, not families. I have no problem with parks for seniors; just don't invite the rest of us if you don’t want us there. I left the park and went to the Yogi Bear down the street. They took me for $150 for cancelling the reservation. Live and learn. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Located in a great location: close to everything. Park has very friendly staff and is very clean. We would definitely stay here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is perfect. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. They are very trusting and work on the honor system for ice and firewood when the office is closed. Our sites (#8 & #10) were level, and most sites are paved. Cable TV is included with 75 channels available. Satellite TV would be impossible to get from our site due to the trees. There is a heated pool, hot-tub and a 1'0" deep kids-pool area. Bathhouse was very clean: they close it from noon-2pm for cleaning everyday. Price listed above was with a Good Sam discount. Regular price was $54 per night for a full hook-up site. I can't say enough good things about Twin Creek!!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our second time staying at this park. Although I feel it's a bit on the high priced side, we love this park. One of the cleanest and nicest parks we've stayed in. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a 10 is that most sites are a bit small. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A clean, quiet campground with well kept facilities. All sights are full hook-up with 50 amp electric service. Roads and sites are paved and each site has a paved patio as well. Road and site access is adequate for large RVS. The only area to be cautious with larger RVs is at the park entrance. The entrance is at the end of a curve and meets the road at an odd angle (i.e. more than a 90 degree turn is required to enter the park). If you are approaching the park going north on US 321 you will have to make a right turn into the park and will need to make sure you have plenty of room to swing the turn wide so you clear the guard rail at the park entrance. Restrooms and showers are kept very clean. Pool is well maintained and water is kept comfortably warm. The only minor negative to this park if you have kids is the playground is very small and the playground equipment is designed for small children (under 100 lbs). We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This resort was extremely nice and the owners were very friendly. Sites are blacktop with a picnic table and bench. The pool is very nice and clean. Showers and restrooms were very clean and were cleaned daily. We had a low tire on our 38 ft toy hauler and the owner let us use his air compressor. We had no problems getting into the park with our camper. Would recommend this place to anyone! We will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were dissatisfied with our stay at Twin Creek RV Resort. We were assigned a site in the dumpy part of the campground. We were assigned site 83. It's in the row that sits along the road frontage below the retaining wall. The campground itself is well manicured and well maintained. The sites are paved and all have a concrete patio. The sites in the main campground are well shaded and also have a bench at each site. The sites in dump row below the two cabin model trailers have no shade and are across the street from the campgrounds open dumpsters and garbage piles of tree limbs, bathroom remodel trash, old swings and misceleaneous equipment pieces like trailers and tractors. Before setting up camp, we returned to the office to ask to be moved to the main campground. We were rudely told that they were busy with other customers and that we would need to return in 15 minutes. No problem, we're happy to wait our turn but they insisted that we leave and come back later. So, after standing on the porch until 3 other camping parties checked in, we requested another site, but were told that none were available except another site in dumpyard row and a site right along the highway entrance where our toddler could make a run for it. We chose to move further up dumphouse row where we were at least closer to the pool and playground. As were setting up camp, we noticed the last camper had dumped about 5 packs of cigarttes into the fire pit. That left us with another warm fuzzy. We stayed for our three reserved nights. After spending a day in the NP, we returned to our site to find a note on our camper door. It read Site 81: do not park on grass and was signed by a worker. We were confused. We had to take a tight corner to move from site 83 to 81 and had backed the trailer off the pavement but had not left it or our vehicle in the grass at any time. The pool was great and even offered a 1' kiddie pool. The bath house was clean and well designed for the campers. I was impressed with the campground but was extremely dissatisfied with the customer service we received in regard to site assignment. We made numerous other trips into the office for ice, etc and were always treated courteously and the workers were very friendly. We would have had a much different experience had we been given a site in the main campground. Just a strange experience. The attention to detail that the campground showed in most of the campground should be showed in all of the campground and they should focus on providing good customer service even in times of stress. I'll be writing to the manager and hope to receive a reply. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is on the edge of town yet very convenient. The grounds are beautiful and full of mature trees and other plantings. The pool was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very courteous. We enjoyed our stay here and we will be back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place is nice but not so nice as to see it rate constant 10's. It is adjacent to a busy road, 321, not all the sites are level, and their new area, the so called "mountain view" section, is anything but. Some sites were plopped down in a field with no trees. There are numerous campgrounds in this area that rival Twin Creek. Perhaps the best thing going for it is its location, closest campground to Gatlinburg. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a well maintained park, with one unusual warning. There is a road, an actual street, that runs through the campground. At the back of the campground the road runs up a hill and into a residential area. Traffic will sometimes speed through the campground, in spite of a stop sign by the office. Children and pets should be kept on a short leash, for their own safety. The owners are friendly and helpful. Each site has a concrete patio that is surrounded by permanent wood benches for seating, and a fire pit. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very clean park; safe & family oriented. We enjoyed this park for our first camping experience & it has set the bar high for any other park. The only negative would be that it is more expensive than others, but it is worth the extra cost. You receive 10% off with your Good Sam membership. The owners are very nice & the working campers too. It is 2 miles off of the main parkway in Gatlinburg & we walked to downtown Gatlinburg with no problems. There is a trolley stop at the campgrounds if you need it. A grocery store is conveniently located across the road from the campgrounds, just turn to the right when leaving the park & it is on the left. We stayed here for 7 days during the 4th of July & really enjoyed being here. The owners really care about their park & it shows. There is trash pick up all the way up until 2 pm...after that you need to make sure that you don't keep it outside since you are in “Bear” country, so it is advisable to put it in the dumpster. This park is safe; your children can play, you can walk at night & we didn't have any problems with anything going missing when we left things out. We stayed on the creekside which was so much better because of the view & not backing up to another camper. We had a blast sitting out by the campfire & just relaxing at the campgrounds. We love to drive up in the mountains to go hiking so this is a convenient location for doing that. They have Internet if you need it but we have our own also. It is nice to be able to check emails while you are gone or check on the “happenings” in the area so that you know what to do while you are there. Our son loved camping & our doggy enjoyed it too. This park is animal friendly. The owners live on the grounds which is a plus. We didn't use the facilities because we have our own bathroom in the travel trailer. I did wash clothes at the laundry & that was a nice area. We didn't have any negatives about staying at this park. We thoroughly enjoyed it & will return again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The sites are nice sized, but the creek side ones could be a bit deeper. The pool was nice and clean, and they even have a jacuzzi. There is a off leash dog area next to the pool. The bathrooms/showers were nice and clean, and the showers had actual doors (not curtains)and a dry dressing area. Each site had a fire ring with a flip over grill. The interior roads were in great condition. I think our only complaint was the space between our site and the next was completely graveled - it would be nice to have more grass areas. This is definitely a campground we'll return to. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Even brought us an extra step when they saw we were a little high on the entry side. Not too bad though, site was fairly level. Most sites appeared to be very level side to side. Ours had a bit of a drop off from pavement to the concrete patio, and I had parked a little too close to the concrete causing a higher than normal first step. As mentioned, the staff quickly fixed this. Pool area was nice and the kiddie pool was large enough for our 2 yr old to play and feel like he was in a "real" pool. Bathhouse was very clean and neat. Store was well stocked, and what they didn't have was within 1/4 mile at local grocery and hardware stores. Sites fairly close together but as would be expected in this type of location. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We love it here; site backs up to the creek, and is very shaded. It is one of the cleanest parks we have been in. There is a "Trolley Stop" right at the enterence to the park and it is five minutes from the down town shops and attractions. If you want to be in the middle of things in Gatlinburg, stay here. This park is outstanding. Owners were friendly. Restsrooms were emaculate. Trolly stop in front of campground. WiFi worked well. Level sites. We will camp here again. A very nice park, in a great location. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very nice charming park. It is basically an oblong loop with one whole side backed up to the creek, two rows in the middle, and the back side up against the hill. The bath houses were extremely clean and private, with each stall having a curtained off changing area then another curtain for the shower. The pool was nice, and the creek/small river was great for the kids to play in. Tents are allowed by themselves or one can be added to your RV site for $6. Children s park is small but nice. Very nice place to stay, will do it again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The park was very clean and had nice level sites. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is a trolley stop at the entrance to the park that will take you to the tourist areas of Gatlinburg. I would recommend this park to others and would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely park and the owners are very nice. They were very accommodating. We stayed a week, and enjoyed it very much. You probably will not be able to use your dome satellite, but they have good cable. Their wi-fi is very good also. The only suggestion we would make is to be VERY careful making the turn into the park. Also, we missed the left turn and ended up driving our 40' rig through Gatlinburg---don't do that, VERY hard. Tennessee beat Arkansas that week, and they didn't even rub it in. We would definitely stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a terrific campground; very clean, peaceful and lots of trees. The sites were spacious and the office porch had rocking chairs to sit and look at the autumn color. The management left the jacuzzi heated for us at our request which was very nice after hiking all day. The campground was a mile from Gatlinburg; convienent to the Smoky Mountains and the downtown area. Were camped here for 8 days and plan to return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the finest RV parks we have ever stayed in. It was clean and quiet in a peaceful mountain setting, yet close to town if you felt the need to visit downtown Gatlinburg. We had the best site on the property, very private. The owners and staff were very nice and accommodating, they obviously care deeply about their campground. The property was decorated nicely for fall/Halloween. The pool heater was turned off for the season, (not surprising in the mountains in late October), but we are not pool people anyway and did not use it. The hot tub was open, though. The trolley stop is a stone's throw from the entrance, which is the ONLY way to see downtown unless you enjoy sitting in your vehicle for hours in traffic. We will definitely return if we ever come through the area again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Spent 2 days here in the second week of Sept. Occupancy rate was pretty high. Very clean park, best shower and restroom facilities we have seen at a park. Was never bothered by nearby road noise. Didn’t find the management problematic, just the opposite very friendly. They do tell you when you register that screen rooms and other stuff is not permitted outside your unit. We travel with 2 dogs and had no problems regarding attitudes about animals. Many others at the park also had pets. Park is very well maintained. There is a large grocery store about 150 yards away from and across the highway from the park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful Park, paved sites, very nice amenities. No One we saw came in or left through town. Connecting to I40 via US 321 is the best choice. This is the closest campground to downtown Gatlinburg. The trolley stops right at the entrance. Rules are very restrictive. We have a 35 foot motorhome. It was easy to back into the creek front site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is too restrictive on reservation changes. We ended up paying for 4 nights for the 3 nights that we stayed. We should not have made any reservation since it was not busy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Overall, a very nice park, convenient to Gatlinburg and GSMNP. All sites are back-ins, and many of the sites back right up to your neighbor's back. If you have a rear window, you might want to keep your shades closed. Sites on the outer loops back up to trees; that would be my choice next time. I did find the staff helpful. Wifi worked very well. The only down side is there is very little within an easy walk or bike ride. You have to take your vehicle or the trolley,- and the trolley isn't that convenient even though it does stop at the park driveway. Of the Gatlinburg RV parks we looked at, I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I was truly impressed with Twin Creek. The campground was clean and well maintained. The road was close but did not bother us at all. Down side is be prepared to encounter a lot of traffic coming through town. Overall great experience. We will definitely return again. Kids had a blast playing in the crystal clear stream behind our Motorhome. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Looked great, got great reviews in the "big" books, and we wanted to stay. We checked in and payed in full. Everything was great until we started to set up camp. We have a "hybrid" travel trailer and one small dog. Pets are supposed to be welcomed, but we were told pets and rigs with any type of canvas are not welcome. No exceptions, no crate, no anything, get out in no uncertain terms. Never have we had this problem at any campground. We were very disappointed. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground. Very clean. Very small playground. My son likes to play baseball while camping but there was very little room to toss and no room to hit. Otherwise on the trolley line and convenient. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed there from September 20 thru October 3. I have a 30 foot RV with 3 slides. I told them this when I made my reservation and they put in a spot that was not at all to close. I walked around and looked at different sites and there are some smaller but they put small RVs in them. Bathrooms very clean. Not but 2 showers but I never had to wait. The guy in the office would not win a personality contest but was okay. They maintenance was very nice. I had a small dog and waled him several times a day and no one complained, they just want you to clean up. They do have a dog area with chain link enclosure. Price is not cheap (around $50) but I enjoyed being this close to downtown Gatlinburg. This is the closest park. Very nice Food City within walking distance. Park is right off 231 but trees buffer the sound. I was probably as close as you could be in this park to the highway. When coming in from Gatlinburg get ready for a very tight right turn. Have to swing out but I had no problem with a 37' and a tow vehicle. Will stay there again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice clean park. A little tight but in a nice setting. Owners are not the most pleasant people to deal with. They are very rigid and don't seem to care if you are satisfied or not. What really ticked me off was when I tried to make a reservation for our anniversary weekend and was told they had a 7 DAY MINIMUM for early through mid October. Would come back without the kids. With the kids, will stay at another park (which I think would make them happy)! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We picked this campground for its convenience to Gatlinburg and The Great Smoky National Park and we just loved it. The facilities were so clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They had a trolley which ran frequently between the campground and Gatlinburg. They had a fabulous pool, large kiddie pool and a jacuzzi. At night the campground was quiet. The sites were very small, but they were paved with and extended patio area. This is a small campground with a family feel to it. The only complaint we had was the lack of playground equipment for children. We would definitely stay here again! We travel in a travel trailer and have 2 small children. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park. Very clean and well kept. The staff were very nice and polite. Rental cars are available on the property . This is the closest RV park to Downtown Gatlinburg. There is a trolley stop at the entrance to DT Gatlinburg/PF. The WIFI kept drifting in and out from our Campsite (#25 Creekside far corner). The site are good size w/cement pad. There is a Food City across the street. We will be back in the fall for another week and will go back here, but we will go for a pull through instead of a creekside. We camped here in a Motorhome.

First of all the nightly rate is misleading, it is $4.00 a night per child extra, with three children it quickly added up to $50.00 per night even though one of the children was only one year old. The so called premium sites by the stream are so close together that when the site next to me put out their slide out , you could almost shake hands from our dinette table to theirs. This is a good clean resort if you don't spend alot of time there, the sites are way too close together for $50.00 per night. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was a GREAT park!! The bath room/shower building was spotless. Trash picked-up every morning in front of our motorhome and since we were there during fall, they came around every day to blow the leaves of our site. Was really quiet at night with lots of trees for shade during the summer. Pool/Hot-Tub area looked really nice and clean but since we were there end of October was a little cool to use. Trolly service at enterance to park was great. Was able to get any place we needed to go and saved us from having parking problems in downtown Gatlinburg. Will stay here again next time we go to the Smokies. Stayed in a 35' class A motorhome. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Extremely clean, rules rigidly enforced, they even cleaned the fire pits each morning they were nice to us. We had no trouble getting in and out with a 37' and I saw 45' RV's there. I'm sure we'll get this 40' diesel in there easily. I guess they did appear to be a bit stuffy, but they also struck me as business cordial and I spoke limited German. I think they appreciated my "attempt" at speaking German, even though very limited German. We've stayed there several times and would again. There are so many RV parks to try up there, we do try others at times. BUT, this park is VERY predictably clean and quiet, except for some road noise. They are not open all year. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean, well run park! They do need to re-locate a lot of their fire-rings, as some are pretty close to the RV. Although we didn't use them, the bathroom / showers were spotless! They blew the leaves from all of the sites each day... I will certainly return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I had to laugh when I read the earlier reviews referring to the behavior of the people who run this park as "nazi-type," because after we checked in my husband commented that these people must be the camping nazis. :) Customer service is not their strong suit. We arrived 50 minutes before check-in and they told us our site was not yet vacated. We asked if we could wait and they told us no, that we had to leave the campground until check-in time. We then asked if we could at least go ahead and get the registration paperwork done while we were there but they said no, that we would have to come back. In addition, during a drive-thru of the park when we were in the area a few weeks earlier, we had made a list of our 10 favorites sites. When we checked in we asked if we could have any one of those 10 sites and we were told no, with no real explanation. As we drove to our assigned site, we saw that 8 of the 10 sites we had requested were empty. Since this campground assigns sites and does not allow reservations for a specific site, I have to wonder why we were told we couldn't have any of those sites. They have a sign on their office wall that says, "There's no good reason for it. It's just our policy." Definitely not a customer-service attitude. I have never seen such a long list of rules for a campground. That said, the grounds are very pretty, the campground is well maintained, the bath house is extremely clean. It's the rules that make the park such a well-run and attractive campground. I only wish the rules were administered with a little more respect and appreciation for the customer and less of a "this is my campground and if you don't like it you can leave" attitude. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are close, except the new ones off to one side. There are approximately 8 of the new sites which have a gravel access road and gravel sites. The old sites have paved roads and sites. They charge the same for both which doesn't seem fair. Coming from Gatlinburg the turn into the park is a switch back and you need a wide trun to get in. The park is very clean and orderly. Folks at the desk are nice. Pool is clean and family oriented. Park is quiet and relaxing. I would go again. I would mention that the older sites are back ins and and little swing in room. They take Good Sam and make you show your card. Have a good one. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Excellent camping facility. Sites are spacious, restrooms are immaculate, and the setting is very beautiful. Price is higher than most but worth it considering the accomodations and the proximity to Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountain National Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place was so clean that our fire ring was shoveled out by the time we got up the next morning (hmmm. would like to have kept that leftover wood). The restrooms were spotless, the grounds were immaculate and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The sites were a tight fit, but managable. The convenience of the trolley is terrific! We'll stay here again! We camped here in a camper.

We have visited this park many times. It is our favorite. The restrooms and the laundry room are the cleanest you will ever find in a campground. The staff is constantly working to improve this facility. They are picky but that is what keeps this place so nice. We camped here in a camper.

This is a very clean campground. Sites are small but I have seen 45' motorhomes make it with no problems. Owners live on site and run the office. Some of the rules and the nazi type tactics of the employees on golf carts gets old but other than that it is a fine park. We camped here in a camper.
