The park is well maintained. The restrooms and showers were clean and taken care of. We were on an end spot, so we had more room. The spots are very close together if you are in a pull through. The roads and sites are dirt, so a good bit of dust is stirred up. Also, the trees are immature, so shade is at a minimum. This makes it very warm in the middle of the day. The premium spots do have a nice view of Arches. If you are not on that end, you don't get that view. The pool is small. It is also at least 10 minutes north of town. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. This park, while dusty and of gravel is what you can expect in the arid southwest. We were able to visit (do not miss) Canyon Lands, Arches and a very pleasant drive up the Colorado River on Utah 128. Moab is a tourist trap. We were here 3 days. Gas here was outrageous @$3.49 We camped here in a Motorhome.
If dirt and dust, rude hosts and poor customer service are your preference, then this is your park. During our stay, the Wi-Fi was very unreliable and slow. We initially wanted to stay 5 days, but our plans changed and the manager refused to refund our money, with two days notice. To sum it up best, as I was in the office/store, one elderly gentlemen came in and said "This place is a dump" We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
I don't know why I reserved this place. Perhaps because it says it has a view of arches. Yes, it has a view of the prairie of arches park. You do have a view of the canyon down to Moab. It's a dusty place. No grass anywhere. A full page of rules: one of which says no ATV's ridden in park. They are all over, kicking up dust and clogging the roadways!! No Cable TV or TV available which compared to the rest of the parks in the area, is unacceptable. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We paid for a premium site for the view. The view was obstructed by 5th wheels and trailers not to mention the "storage" area for trailers. The washers in the laundry were not very clean and I chose not to use the showers. The campground has no grass but most sites are wide enough to accommodate a big rig. For the price, there are better options. We camped here in a Motorhome.
They will not get another dime from me. The management is about as snotty as I have seen anywhere. For crying out loud we are paying to stay here and support it, I don't have to take that attitude. The tent area: you might as well camp in the driveway. We stayed at Riverside Oasis, it was awesome the tent area was grass not rocks. Cabins were clean and well maintained. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
We stayed here for a week. It is right on the main highway to Moab, and there is traffic noise during the day, but it is quiet at night. I would have preferred a campground in the town of Moab because it would have been more convenient. We are about 10 miles north of Moab. Also, I prefer sites with some grass, but there is none here. It seems to be very popular with people using ATV's. The name of the park is Arch View, and you can see the Windows. The Premium Sites were all booked so we could not see the arches from our site. It is still miles away. No TV (cable or antenna) and cell service was fair. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This a clean, well managed park. The driveways are wide and the sites big enough to put all four of our slides out. We were expecting it to be some what noisy because of all the off-road-vehicles, but were pleasantly surprised when all was quiet at night. It would be better if there was grass or a paved pad for the picnic table and bbq. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park convenient to Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. Our site did not have sewer hookup but was at the East side of the park with a spectacular view of the Arches. The sunrise was awesome. Would have given them a 10 but they did not have hand soap in the bathrooms. They have a gas station but gas was 30 cents higher than in Moab 10 miles away. They also have propane but I did not check the price. Our space was very wide and long. Plenty of room for our motorcycle trailer and car. We look forward to staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Truly a desert campground: but a good location for what we wanted and the price was cheaper than any of the parks in Moab. The bath house was close by but crowded. Toilet/shower/sink combos and they were clean. We visited Arches and Canyonlands, shopped for groceries in Moab and ate at Wendy's. Drove up the road along the Colorado River for a way. Did not go to the Bar M Chuckwagon Show because it cost more than we wanted to spend. The sunset was gorgeous and our grandson got some lovely pictures of the old building against a beautiful sky. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
My husband and I rented a small cabin well ahead of our destined date of arrival. When we checked in we got our key for cabin 5 d I believe the d stood for deluxe. We had to park our car on the opposite side of our cabin as a huge trailer was parked where we were supposed to park our car. We informed management immediatly as It was difficult for us to bring our belongings inside. We left for three hours thinking the trailer would be gone when we got back. It was still there and it was left there in our way the whole time even though we were angry and upset about it. It is my belief the owners knew the people and were also making money off them, as I'm sure the trailer was loaded with bikes. They were probably entered in a competition close by and were rented this space too. I think the owners here have an ethical problem when it comes to making money and do not mind inconveniencing their guests. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We made late reservations and got two nights with hookups and 2 nights dry camping. The first night some one stole parts off my Jeep. Not the fault of the campground but just the beginning of my frustration with the whole weekend. When we moved out of the hookups to the dry camping my wife asked about dumping and was told to find an open site before we left and dump there. The last night that we were there I asked about hooking up my trailer to my RV and parking both in the dry area. I was told that "we are completely full" although most of the dry camping area was open. The next morning the area was unchanged, so obviously they were not as full as they said. When I went to dump the tanks some jerk on a golf cart came up screaming about having to pay even though we had been told to go ahead and dump the day before. They don't know what each other is telling customers and I will never stay there again and recommend that others don't either. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We parked here in our 40' motorhome, 4 slides and tow vehicle. Good place to tourist from. The spaces are tight and some aren't very level. Swimming pool was closed. Staff friendly and helpful. The rate is high but this is a high recreation area. Yes, we will probably stay here again after trying some of the other campgrounds in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great park to spend time exploring the area. We stayed 8 nights, but had to move once, since we had no reservations. Park staff was friendly and helpful. Pull-thru sites are a bit tight, especially since everyone seems to have at least one ATV. Park has a reasonably stocked store and a small laundry. We felt bad when we checked out, since some large dog had pooped in our site, and our neighbor left trash under our picnic table. Not our problem, but why can't all campers be more responsible? We wish he park was more proactive. Wi-fi was slow, but our Verizon Aircard was full strength. Groceries, restaurants and shops in Moab, good burgers at Moab Brewery! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Ten miles from the city of Moab, so it's very quiet and removed. Situated next to the open desert, where you can take your ATVs, motorcycles or just hike with your pets. The only RV park that offers a view of the North and South Window arches at Arches National Park, and is located very close to the park entrance. Just across the highway is the entrance to Dead Horse Point, with Canyonlands down from there. The store keeps good hours and sells all the necessities (including cigarettes and alcohol), so you don't need to go into Moab for it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have propane and air on site. Sites are relatively level with good hookups. Some cool and eclectic features include the large lighted tipis at the front of the park and the old mission church. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Staff friendly and helpful. WiFi which they say they have is bad, bad, bad. I even tried it at 3AM and I still could connect for a moment and then it boots you off. No gravel, sites are dirt and it is dusty. Also, highway is right near and it is noisy, noisy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park was clean. They placed us in a very large space. We were very pleased with the space. Personnel very friendly and helpfull, willing to give information and make suggestions on where and what to do. We made reservatons based on the park having a pool, since it was very hot. The park is deceiving on a pool information. They should advertise, an oversized hot tub. It is the smallest pool we have ever seen in a park. When we owned our house, our in-ground pool was three times bigger than this one. We went to the pool one time and it was over 100 degrees the three days we were there. The park was a great diappointment to us. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
If you have a small trailer or very short motor home, it's easy to get around. Otherwise, navigating into and out of the sites is very difficult. The sites are extremely narrow. The water hookups are almost at ground level and very inconvenient. The WiFi is very weak and slow and not very reliable. There were also lots of ants around. It is conveniently located between Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, but for us, that was the only plus. It's woefully overpriced for the quality of the facilities. I would definitely NOT stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here in overflow parking in '07, not '08. We didn't realize it was Jeep Jamboree weekend, but we didn't mind since we were there for ATVing. Our camp was 15 feet from the trail head and I could see Arches from the window. General store was nice as was the employees. No problems running of the generator. Not sure what the actual sites were like, but they kept one pull thru site open for the overflow to use to dump and refill tanks. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We were looking forward to staying here, but we were quite disappointed. The sites were very close together, and we were far away from the better bathrooms (the smaller bathrooms had no soap for hand washing). The place is a haven for ATVs, and although the rules said no riding ATVs before or after a certain time, those rules were not followed. We were glad they could not accommodate our second night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed here for five nights using it as a base camp for hiking and mountain biking. Have stayed here several times before. For the second year in a row they made a mess of my reservations but figured out how to make things work. This is a busy campground. Lots of ATVs etc. coming and going. WiFi doesn't have enough bandwidth for user base and is not stable. Not a pretty place to camp but good location. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice clean campground. Gravel roads. We were parked in the east side of the park and could see some of the arches at Arches NP on the horizon. It was beautiful. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. If you are going to Arches and Canyonlands NP or Dead Horse Point SP, this is the campground to stay in - very convenient to both. My only criticism is that the WiFi was terrible - very slow (when it worked) and the latency was measured in thousands of ms. It was 9 miles to drive in to Moab but since we were going to the national parks, we found this campground to be excellent for our needs. Would stay here again if in this area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Let me explain that I am not a picky person. We are in a site that is too small for our rig let along our rig and a tow. They advertise large shady sites. Ha! We asked if they had a pullthru where we would not have to unhook since this is a touch and go for us and I explained we have a 37' motor home towing a jeep. They gave us this site that barely fits the motorhome. Had to unhook and park the tow car elsewhere. Gravel and dust, mostly dust. WIFI at all sites a joke. We can get it but the data flow is so slow it is almost unusable. No tv of any kind. The "shade" is small trees about the height of the motorhome. The word "resort" should not be used in this park's name. No way we are coming back here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park. Great location for Arches and Canyonlands Nat'l Parks. Small but nice pool. No TV unless you have a dish. Wifi works, but is sometimes slow. We stayed a month and now were back again. Great park if you have ATV's. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We chose this park based on previous ratings and its proximity to Arches and Canyonlands and it served as a very convenient base camp. Yes, it is a glorified gravel parking lot, but I guess I expected that in the desert. The pool is small, but enough for the kids to get wet in after a long day of hiking. The WiFi was intermittent, especially in the morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped 3 nights. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Caution!! this seems to be the overflow campground when all the ones in town are full. Kelly in the office checked us in and was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, but quite naive about the campground. Assuring us that the 5 mph speed limit was enforced and if we saw anyone going over just let the office know. Didn't see her again til the end of our week there. So, 1)kids running amuck 2)the help as well as others going well over the 5 mph kicking up big clouds of dust 3)the rule about no riding of ATV's in the "resort" HA 4) pets leashed HA 5) pool rules HA and when things were brought to the attention of the office it was said that they really didn't want to ruin anyone's weekend! The wi-fi was hit or miss mostly miss. How this place can call itself a "Resort" is beyond me. My advice:Keep Driving! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a nice campground and the scenery was magnificent! the sites are rather short (even for a tent trailer) but worked out ok. The place was clean and the staff was very pleasant. Although small, the pool (the only one in the area) does offer a refreshing break after a hot dusty drive in the desert. I will come back to the area again to explore Canyonlands and use this park as a base to operate from. the light from the sunsets and sun rises that dance off the rocks was a sight to see. For the price, this place is a good deal. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Stayed 3 nights. No grass anywhere. Close to attractions. Would not stay here again. As usual pet owners do not pick up after their pets. The pet area was not clean. I would think they would at least clean it every now and then. Stayed here in a motorhome. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not a bad park for a short stay. The "G" row pull-thru sites gave a view of the mountains & a hint of the Arches (Arches Natl Park is a Must-See). When we checked in no one told us they now have (free) WiFi - I discovered the signal was strong when I turned on my computer. Called the Office for the "code" but, for security reasons, had to go back into the Office and have them give me the access code. The Park does not seem to have the usual requirement to use a boot/coupler on the sewer hose so clueless campers next to us must have threaded about three feet of their sewer hose down. The next morning they reported their sewer backed up & didn't seem to believe the camp host when he pointed out the proper way to avoid problems when campers uphill empty their black tanks prior to departure. We probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We came to this park based on everyone's previous ratings. Either they're all blind, camping in tents, or they don't know what a park worthy of a 8-9 rating is truly like. This is a big gravel parking lot with small trees seperating each site. There is no cable TV, no wi-fi and the ONLY real benefit is the close proximity to the National Parks. Our 42' motorhome extends into the road in both the front AND the back and it's so dusty you can't open a window. Although the views are great we will never return. Drive further into Moab for a park, you wont be sorry. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had a gorgeous site for our 40' motorhome. Not all the sites are spacious. The park is very well kept. There is a laundry, well-stocked store and Shell fuel. There are nice views from all sites. The owners and workers were very friendly. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The views are fantastic. There is a movie prop church on site. Very close to all the attractions. The check in also serves as the gift shop/convenience store/gas station and gets a lot of business. When the staff is busy, it is difficult to ask questions. There was no escort to the site, but they are well marked. Sites are level, gravel, no grass. But there are small trees between each site. The sites are narrow for slide outs. Picnic table and BBQ grill at each site. No fire pits but there is a large, community fire pit near the pool. There is a dog walk. Adequate garbage facilities but they do not offer recycling containers. The price on their website was $23.95. Add another $3 for 50 amp, which was not advertised. Plenty of camping cabins, all with a good view. The modem hook up is attached to a payphone and is posted for "Email download only". Even though it is off the road, you do hear some road noise. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is very close to the main highway to the Islands in the Sky section of Canyonlands and about five miles or so from the south entrance of Arches. Also, about a mile north of the park is the west entrance into Arches which requires 4x4. For the area, the park was not bad. The sewer hookups required a very long hose as they were at the front of the space instead of the back of the space. I don't recommend that you buy gas at the gas station they have. We put some in our Jeep and it made the engine ping like crazy until I ran it out. The bathrooms are very nice (individual units) with toilet, sink and shower. I would probably stay there again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The pool is very small, but most campgrounds in the area have no pool. Arch View has
sites that are further from the highway than other local campgrounds and the view is great. We could see the Arches National park from our campsite. There is a trail (Bike, ATV , Walking, 4 wheel drive) that starts right at the park. It is dusty, but so is the entire area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy access from highway and close to Arches NP, Dead Horse Point SP and Canyonlands NP. Does have trees but don't count on a lot of shade. Views of surrounding rock formations. Shell station, camp store, helpful staff. Just a few miles north of
Moab. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Tried to get into Dead Horse State Park, but they were full. We called Riverside Oasis but they were not very friendly on the phone and wanted to charge the full cost of a second site for our small tent. Canyonlands represented a good compromise between the two. LOADS of shade (thankfully), and wonderfully clean restrooms. We didn't spend any time here during the day as we were out four wheeling and seeing the National Parks. The staff was very helpful. The only downside to this campground is like so many other privately run campgrounds, the sites are one on top of the other. For the money, we got wonderful staff, clean bathrooms, electricity, water and great shade. The proximity of the sites keeps me from giving it more stars. For what we needed (a home base), Canyonlands served the purpose. I don't think I would have been happy sitting by my camper in this campground though. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
It is a nice shady park with large trees - a must in the summer. A great in-town location. It is easy to walk to shopping and restaurants, handy attached gas station selling propane and espresso, nice management. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice park with good access to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Pull through sites although could be a bit longer as you will have to remove your tow vehicle. Nice shaded sites. The only complaint is there are no garbage cans close by; you have to drive to the dumpster at the front of the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We chose the park because of the pool and walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores. The pool was so small and crowded my kids did not want to use it. My teenage sons refused to use the bathrooms because they were "disgusting." I found the ladies room to be acceptable. The trash was overflowing and smelly. I would not stay at this campground again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park has great level, shaded sites. There is a nice grocery store 1/2 block away. Can walk anywhere in town on sidewalks. Has a nice pool and laundry room. Everything was convenient. Has good internet reception. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a great place to stay right in downtown Moab. It is within walking distance of many fine restaurants, and only 2 blocks from the Moab Brewing Company. The spaces are level and shady, and it is very quiet considering you are right on the main street. The bathrooms and showers are very clean, as is the laundry room. Although when we were here, not all the washers and dryers were in working order. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sardine park. Last year they had a Good Sam price of $33. Now there is no more Good Sam and it's $43! It is so cramped we can barely open our front door (literally). It's located in town. Management is superb. Owners are greedy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The honest truth; Crazy small sights, if you don't think so wait for the season. Might win award for the snuggest RV park. Over priced. Small pool for the amount of people accessing it. BUT the new management is more then super great, the park is right in town (ONLY PARK RIGHT IN TOWN), great view of Moab point & great shade trees. We'll stay here every chance we can. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very tight and crowded, not my idea of camping. Convenient to town. If you have a dog beware - Moab is the most dog unfriendly town I have ever visited. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very tight quarters, but quiet nonetheless. Clean. Staff not near as friendly as several years ago and the rates have skyrocketed - about average for Moab, which is overpriced. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sardines don't have anything on this park! It has short, narrow lots that are right on top of each other. It is definitely not big rig friendly, although we made it in with our 40' Fifth-Wheel... barely! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Another lesson learned; don't assume anything. We checked in for one night and instead of a full-hookup, went with W/E only. The sites were all-dirt and very tight versus concrete pads for the W/E/S sites. No mention of this when checking-in. Rate was pretty expensive even with Good Sam discount, but, it is a tourist stop. W-Fi and cable worked fine. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a fairly nice campground close to town. It is a little bit noisy from the road, but not bad. The spots are a decent size, but I think the rate was a little excessive due to what you got. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great destination RV Park. Located in the center of town, but very quiet at night. Gravel roads, with level concrete pads on each site, most have good shade trees. Cable TV and Wi-Fi worked well. Swimming pool, showers and bath rooms were clean. Odd entrance, in that it is also the exit, sort of a one-in one-out and take turns. If you can't see their street sign look for the Texaco Gas Station as they are right behind it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We spent 2 days here to visit both Arches and Canyonlands National Park. The park is heavily treed and the sites are probably a bit tight for big rigs but all the facilities (FHU, cable TV and Wi-Fi) worked well. There is also a small pool. There is a large grocery and several other stores and restaurants within blocks and the center of this tourist town is only a mile away. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campground is all gravel. Our dog could not find a blade of grass. The sites are very, very close. The night before we were going to leave we had to ask our neighbor to move his truck because it was parked in front of our RV. It is located on the main street, so there is a lot of road noise. Because it is on the main street it is convenient for shopping, etc. We would not stay here again because of the poor conditions for pets. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
As mentioned, this is right in the heart of Moab and near Arches National Park. The road noise is considerable, however in the evening it quieted down. We turned on our air conditioner for the white noise. The wireless internet didn't reach all areas of the campground and it was an issue for us. There is no grass on the campground. Gravel and trees is all that will greet you. However it is not loose gravel and the sites were level. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Rate is with GS discount. As noted in earlier reviews, in the middle of town and good if you are walking or riding a bike. If you have a toad, would stay somewhere else. There is road noise from the main street thru town. Interior roads are gravel, and nary a blade of grass anywhere so it makes it dusty. Not to mention that the family dog prefers some grass, somewhere.. Does have mature shade trees. Sites are close, but not cramped. Utilities and cable are OK. Verizon cell and air card signal is very good. 15 years ago, the last time we were in Moab, it was a very small and laid back town. It has grown a great deal and is pretty busy. As indicated earlier, would stay at Sliprock or Oasis, based on a drive by, because they have shade and grass. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very convenient location in the heart of Moab! Convenient to both Arches and Canyonlands National parks. Nice bathrooms and laundry. Sites are pull-thrus, but are pretty tight and not much room to park once you are unhooked. But the location is worth the inconvenience! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Right in town. We don't tow a car, so very convenient for us. Can walk to many restaurants and shops, and Canyonlands Tours will pick you up at the park. Tight sites, but enough space for a picnic table and room to sit under a tree. Nicely maintained. Several used bookstores in town. Good food and beer at the microbrewery. We camped here in a Motorhome.
After reading the recommendations of this web site we decided to stay here when visiting Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. I'm amazed no one mentioned that this park backs up to a school (middle or high school - not sure which). We pulled in to the sound of Tiny Tim's "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" blaring over the PA system from the school. The school was having some sort of event (summer camp?) and the kids were all out playing on a slip-n-slide and various other games/sports. Lots of loud music followed for the rest of the afternoon. That night there was a baseball game (bright lights and a big crowd). The next day we did not hear music, but periodic calls over the PA system, such as "Miss Adams, please report to the office", etc. This place is clean and well-run by a professional, friendly staff. Like others have said, the spaces are very close together. We will not stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

As noted, this campground can be a tight fit for larger rigs, but there were plenty of big rigs around our Envoy/hybrid travel trailer. The spaces are fairly narrow and close together, but shady. The upside is it is right in the middle of Moab and within walking distance of much of the central town area. It was plenty quiet, even for close quarters. Internet worked okay, tho' on Saturday night when the park was packed, it was slow. Showers/bath house were fine, although the men's room could use more than two toilets as there are plenty of tenters in the park. The dog walk area is small but adequate for most purposes except exercising a lively dog. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Spaces are tight, narrow and short. Dusty. WiFi worked. Pool small but nice and clean. Think we will find another place next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
If not careful could miss the entrance to the campground as quite a small entrance off main street. Limited area to park and register. Office staff friendly and efficient. Access roads gravel and a little narrow particularly on corners. Sites are well treed, gravel/concrete and flat. Services in right location for easy hook-up. Pull-thru sites are a little short to have car on back. Excellent Wi-Fi and good cable TV. Two dog walks at corner of campground. The campground is well maintained. Some road noise. Within walking distance of shops. Good location to visit Arches and Canyonlands National Parks We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good location to historic downtown Moab within 3-4 blocks walking distance of grocery store, restaurants, and shops. Pull-through sites are gravel, narrow, concrete curbing, and in close proximity; however, plenty of trees for shade. The small gravel pet run is located in the back next to the fence for the city park and high school stadium. The pool located in front on main street. It is In the heart of Moab. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed the large shade trees and the pull-thru concrete pads. You pull in and you are level! They are in a great location in town and you can walk to restaurants, etc. They have a small pool to enjoy. The staff was very friendly There are two dog runs. We were surprised how quiet it was considering it is in town. We will stay there again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
It is the only campground you can walk to town from, sites are tight as previously mentioned. Some sites appeared to have 8 or more people occupying them. Bathrooms were clean. It was not a very relaxing place to stay, felt crowded and busy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A nice park inside the town of Moab. Sites were on the closer side, but the location was superb. We enjoyed walking downtown to the different shops and places to eat. This was a nice park and we will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
As previously stated this is a very tight campground for a 40' motorhome. Entrance and turns in the campground are extremely tight. Other than that, the restrooms are clean, good power and cable and free WiFi. Some long term occupants have spread out of there assigned spots and make the rows almost impassable at times. For a big rig I would consider the KOA up the road. We will not return here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The sites at this park are tight, tight, tight. You'll need a shoehorn to get both your camper and your tow vehicle into the space they allow. Having said that, it is right downtown and within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of Moab. The WiFi connection was good. This would have been a 8, but I give it a 6 because of the tight sites. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice park in the Moab area, the biggest plus is its location close to the "downtown strip" and proximity to restaurants and shops. There were only a couple others I would consider staying at, but a lot more I would not visit. Wi-Fi was a little slow, pool was drained and refilled when we got there so it was clean, but cold. Restrooms were only cleaned once a day, but with a park this size they should have been given more attention. Concrete pads were nice, but gravel interior roads were dusty. Owners and staff were helpful and courteous. A nice touch is after a customer leaves, the staff comes to each site to clean it and wash down the pad and immediate surrounding gravel. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We were very pleased to have a site here in the middle of town. Yes,the sites are a bit short and a bit close together, but the trees are wonderful for their shade. It was 107 one of the days we were there, and w/o the trees we would have roasted. The restrooms were clean, and the people in the front office were very helpful. We went to the brew-pub, and it was great. We also went up-river to the Red Cliffs Lodge for lunch; some excellent wine and the local film museum is a lot more than you'd expect. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We had stayed at this campground 25 years ago and remembered how welcome the trees were. And they still are, a real plus in this hot location. Close to town, Arches, and Canyonlands. Staff very helpful. Park well-kept. Would camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The best attributes of this park is that it is somewhat protected from Moab's winds, and that it is walking distance to shops and restaurants. The negatives are that the sites are too close together and short; Rvers are allowed to hang clothes lines; the handles on the dryers were broken and the dog area is awful. Think I'll try another RV Park next time I'm in Moab. We camped here in a Motorhome.
In the center of Moab, near Arches Nat'l Park. Walking distance to restaurants. Far enough from the highway, quiet nights. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here with our 4 year old son and we really enjoyed it. It is a very well maintained campground. The park and the restrooms were clean. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. All the sites have trees at them which makes it very nice. Our son enjoyed the playground. We also like that we could walk to town. Since it is in town we did not have any highway noise which is nice. We found the RV sites very accommodating for our 38' ft motorhome and car. We are definitely going to stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
All the hookups and the Wifi worked well. We were not bothered by street noise and actually found it convenient to groceries, gas, beer, etc. The site sizes are adequate but not roomy. Many sites are in shade, its hot in Moab. The pet area isn't fit for a dog. Go down by the creek, you won't bother anyone. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We moved here from Slickrock campground because it was too dirty and noisy. We were very satisfied with Canyonlands. Everything was spotless, campers were polite/quiet, staff was good and it is right in town (I didn't notice road noise). The cabins were typical KOA style and very clean with air conditioning and a screened front porch under a shade tree. It had 'big rigs' in it but the spaces were very tight. I noticed the tent area was set up like the RV area so not much privacy but the tent area wasn't full and it was away from the RV traffic which helped. There was a 'private' tent area but it had road noise and noise from a loudspeaker and very far from the bathrooms, all tenters were up in the upper tent area. We will stay here again, it was very pleasant and relaxing after a long day of hiking/biking. I highly recommend this campground. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.
This place is smack in the middle of town, but the highway noise isn't too bad if you get a spot toward the rear. Dust wasn't too bad because they had gravel down. Staff was cordial. We really liked how you could walk across the street to the brewery, one block from an RV wash location, and the grocery store was bikeable too. Super convenient location to stay overnight, get some business done, swim in their pool, and split. Nothing fancy but it's location can't be beat. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was a last minute stay. Minus - Spots tight, be careful leaving park you can scrap bottom really easy. Dog walk area sad but if you go down where they have tents and flood area it is nice for dogs. Pluses - Staff friendly, close to town and food. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Tight is the operative word at this downtown campground. Neither we nor our neighbor could put out our awnings and our 4 slides barely made it. We saw quite a few big rigs and our 37" fifth wheel is not small, but we were able to place ourselves on our small pad with one pull through and one backing adjustment. Now parking our truck was another matter, we had to back it in under the hitch parallel to the front road. Moab is the Mecca of off-roading and the campground was full of barely street legal Jeeps with questionable mufflers. Quiet time seemed to be well respected, but after biking or 4 wheeling all day who wants to party all night and if you do there are places within walking distance for that kind of fun. We were there during part of Utah's Spring Break but the kids were quiet and respectful. This is a great place for pop-ups and tenter's, they have a very nice area for them to camp. Dish washing sinks are located just outside each restroom and in the laundry. WiFi was great but then we were only 20' from the antenna. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
My husband and I stayed here for six nights the beginning of October. It's a very busy place but for the most part everyone was respectful of the 10pm quiet time. This is not a sleepy little town so if thats what your looking for, you probably wouldn't want to stay anywhere here. We came to explore Moab in our jeep with some friends. It's an incredible place. Many 4x4's, ATV's, and motorcycles cruising the area. A tourist town for sure! We loved our stay and we will definitely be back here to Canyonlands RV Park. We did not use the showers or restrooms. There were two sets of dumpsters on either ends of the park. I wanted to use the pool but we were too busy jeeping everyday. There is a store/gas station/espresso stand as you enter the park. The park is located within walking distance to many restaurants and cool shops. We will be back here for sure! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is right in town so is convenient to shopping and restaurants etc. The sites are small and stacked together like cordwood. The wifi is free but somewhat slow so can't complain too much there because it is free. Lots of older mature trees. Back row backs up to a high school with batting cages along he fence so all you hear is the thump, thump of the balls being hit. Moab is a very busy little town with lots of bicyclists, atvs and 4wd vehicles. Pretty expensive for what you get. The so-called concrete pads are barely large enough for a pop-up trailer let alone any normal size rv. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The sites in this campground are a little tight. It is right in the middle of town, but the outside road noise isn't bad. We did hear the high school football game whose field is at the back of the park. It is a very busy park, with lots of in and out traffic at all hours (lots of loud jeeps going to play in the canyons). We camped here in a Motorhome.
For a tourist town like Moab, a very good campground. The WiFi was better than any other campground so far. Stayed three nights because we loved this place. Will return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Campground was clean, shady and conveniently located. We had reserved a site for the night before we actually arrived and they let us check in that morning without charging for the missed night. The dog area was shady and easy to get to. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good location, walking distance to shopping/grocery/restraunts. Shady, clean, c-store, gas station on site. Mild road noise. No grass, two small pet areas (dirt). Gravel/concrete sites, level sites. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Stayed here in a site with water and electric. Great location and price. Very friendly staff and helpful as well. Will return and spend more time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is great. The service at check-in was very professional and friendly. We arrived with multiple rigs and special needs (OHV trailers). We were quickly on our way to our sites and directed to where to park our OHV trailers. The sites are level and the mature trees are a must. The sites can be close for the largest of rigs but our gasers w/slides on both sides fit fine. The pool was refreshing and always clean. The restrooms were clean even with the many tenters utilizing them. The WiFi worked at our sites. The onsite store, gas station and laundry mat were very convenient. The location is a plus for us, in the middle of town, but no road noise. We have stayed here for multiple years and will continue to when visiting Moab. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We camped here in a small motor home, 22 foot. We were close to front of park and did notice any street noise. Restaurants were within walking distance. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We love this park due to it being close to the grocery and other town amenities (walking distance) and the groups of people from foreign countries who use this wonderful campground. The owners are very nice/friendly. We will always return here when we visit Moab. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
I checked no pull throughs and not big rig accessible because this older park simply is too tight and close for big rigs and pull throughs although they advertise that they offer these features. Trees, branches, poorly placed rocks, etc., make navigating this park very difficult for a bigger rig. We camped here in a Motorhome.

this campground, take the median strip. You'll be happier! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is a classic case of where, once it was nice, but the trees have now matured
and have closed in and this, along with huge boulders being placed everywhere, makes it a nightmare to navigate. Very tight turns and difficult parking. Their definition of a "paved" space is one where several pourings of concrete have been connected together, and they are all horifically cracked and unlevel. Not a nice place at all. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the worst campgrounds in America. If your rig is over 30 feet in length, you're going to have trouble here. The owners have placed rocks in unbelievable places. If you get out of here without scratching your rig, you're lucky indeed. Avoid it unless you want a stressful situation. There are lots of other great campgrounds in the area without problems such as this one has. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of the most spectacular views ever seen. So quiet you can hear a bee buzz from a distance! Early morning and later evening very few people around. Nice park ranger entertained the kids with story about animals in the park. She was very sweet. We camped here and it was very hot but electricity and A/C saved the day. Do not miss this park and plan two hours to drive in and visit when you go to arches or canyon lands. We did not make reservations and arrived before noon with plenty sites available. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Note that rate of $20 includes a daily use fee of $6. If you have a state park pass, the nightly rate then is only $14. A GREAT price for a wonderful campground. Minor leveling even for a big rig. Solid, 50 amp electric. Limited water, bring plenty with you. Dump station on site: no rinse water. Bathrooms were clean. Dishwashing sink with running water outside the bathroom building. Portable jug filling only. No showers. Exceptional location for visiting Moab area, Arches NP, Canyonlands NP, etc. Remarkable views of Colorado River basin and Colorado Plateau just one mile down the road from campground. Ranger program in the evening. Nice presentations. Ranger came around and invited us personally to evening programs! As most visitors just blow right on by. Camp fills late in day. Marginal AT&T cell, zero to one bar if lucky. Verizon Air card worked (two bars) with an exterior antenna/booster. Satellite TV was no problem as all trees/shrubs etc., are below trailer height. All sites have 'cabana' over picnic table with overhead 110 volt light, a nice touch. Very dark and quiet, IMO a stunning place to stay at a great price. If they'd let us, we'd stay for weeks. We'll be back! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was one of our favorite parks. We camped in site #1, which was a very secluded pull-thru. All the sites had a shelter with a picnic table. The park has a great visitor center, museum, and art gallery, as well as a well-maintained mountain bike trail. It was a great alternative to dry camping in the national parks because of the electric hookups. Keep in mind that you must bring your own water. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The camping fee includes access to the state park, which has spectacular views, and is well worth the trip. You have to take your own water, since they have to truck in water from Moab, but the dump station has a water hose available. I hope to be able to stay here again for a longer period of time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed three nights. Nice park, but it has no water. We filled our tanks at a prior campground. Campground is small loop, a little tight with our toad, as we had a back-in spot. 1 mile up the road is the most awe-inspiring view of canyonlands. Nice location to visit Moab, Arches, and Island in the Sky. Nearest supplies are 20 minutes away. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed our stay in this park. The campground is small and quiet. It is a little tight, but big rig friendly for the skilled. Lots to do and see. We liked the hiking and felt that the views in this park, are the best we have seen. It is a small campground so reserve if you are going to visit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Rate is daily rate. Paved roads and sites. A truly amazing place to park your RV. The campground may not have the views, but a few minutes drive provided awe inspiring vistas. Good sized, reasonably level sites with picnic table and cover, though they can be tight if you have slides on both sides. At least half of the sites would have accommodated our 38' motorhome. We were there in the off season and had no trouble getting a good site. Be aware that there are no water hook ups. We will definitely be back to this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
If there's a nicer state park campground, I'd love to see it. The sites are well located, clean and well equipped. The setting is awe inspiring with stunning views of Canyonlands. While we were here, the sites were all full but the park was QUIET. There is no water available in the park but a dump is available. The restrooms do not have showers but were clean and in good working order. We look forward to returning to this outstanding park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This has to be one of the most beautiful sites in the country. There are nice sized, reasonably level sites. Each has a covered concrete pad with a pantry, picnic table and lights. The restrooms have running water but no showers. Flush toilets available to help extend your storage. A dump site is available. There are some first come, first served sites that are available daily, the others must be reserved well in the future as there is a limited number of sites and the park is quite popular with people who appreciate natural beauty and silence. Although there are no conventional amenities offered, the beauty and serenity of the area makes it a park we'll gladly return to anytime, hopefully we can stay longer in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoy this park and campground so much that it has become a yearly trip for us. The campground is small and remote but that is why we love it. Peace and quiet is undisturbed here. If you are here on a clear, moonless night the nighttime skies are amazing. It is literally a 5 minute drive to the Point and not much farther to Canyonlands. Arches is less than an hour away. Do yourself a favor and spend an hour at night out on the Point. It's almost a spiritual experience. The park rangers are friendly and love to talk about the area. Nightly talks at the visitor's center are worth your time. Campground and restrooms are kept spotless. Water conservation is a concern here since it has to be trucked in from Moab. Fill up your tanks before you arrive. Absolutely wonderful experience. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed 7 days at this wonderful park in the desert. While staying here we visited Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park. Great vistas at Dead Horse Point and a nice place to watch the sunset. The only negative is the lack of water hook ups but we had a full tank when we arrived and 10 gallons in containers. We filled our containers in Moab while on our day trips. Also, there is water available at the restroom. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great tent camping site. Covered ramadas on cement slab with cabinets and electric light make for easy meal prep. Raised and framed tent sites also a nice feature. This remote location is an awesome place for viewing stars. Shade a little hard to come by, be prepared for bugs or "no-see-ums" as the rangers call them. Rangers were extremely helpful and easy to see that they take great care of this site. Last time I stayed there was over 30 years ago, and it was just as I rememberd it. We camped here in a Tent.
Dead Horse Point matches the Grand Canyon. We stayed there for a week. The only water in the park is "trucked" in daily from Moab so they ask that you fill your fresh water tank before arriving. They do have a place at the bathroom (no showers) where you can fill a jug. We loved it there- Canyon Lands is close by and Arches is about 30 miles toward Moab. Wonderful hiking both at Dead Horse Point and at the National Parks. Our only complaint was the gnats- or what's called no- seeums. Could not find anything to repel them. Supposedly just a problem late spring and early summer. We would love to go back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Canyonlands and this park. This place is absolutely beautiful, with views and hiking trails from anywhere in camp. It is also one of the quietest campgrounds we have stayed in. We had space 19, a slight up hill back in space 55 feet long. I had no trouble backing in or leveling. Space 11 also looks very nice. I don't know if a 40 foot triple slide would fit either space but I would bet they would. We had a great time here and would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Paid an extra $8.00 to make a reservation. Sight was up hill and hard to back into. The sight had a great covered picnic table with an over heard light and a cabinet for storage. There was electric but no water and none at the dump sight to refill with. Lots of privacy. Great proximity to trails and sights. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
A real out-of-the-way Utah state park. Extremely quiet area with outstanding views. Roads and pads paved but may require some effort to get level. Most sites fairly well separated. New electrical service to sites, no water or sewer at sites, dump station available but no water there. Lack of water a major detraction but if you can work your way around that a wonderful place. I would strongly suggest that you have a reservation. If you get there and they are full it is a long way to anywhere else. Take some time and explore the park. Numerous deer in the Campground. If you want to see some real stars get there on a moonless night. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This small campground is in great proximity to one of the West's most awesome views. The view from Dead Horse Point is unbelievably beautiful both at sunset and sunrise. The campground has a few big sites. I like site #1 for size and privacy. Campfires were not allowed when we were there. Nice roof covering the picnic table. Outside storage provided. Must bring in drinking water. No water available. Dump station avail but no water to rinse hose. Despite the negatives, this campground is a gem. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
There are not many spaces a 40' motorhome will fit. I was in space #1 a pull through long enough for the largest RV. I would also recommend space # 11 for big rigs. The new 50A service makes this a pleasure for keeping cool without the sound of generators. Some sites are secluded some are not. Overall a great place to stay for Dead Horse Point and Canyonlands Island in the Sky. There are restrooms, but no showers. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We camped here for 3 nights with two other families. The campsites have great views, and we saw mule deer two of the three evenings here. No problem with privacy (try for an outer loop site if you are concerned). The picnic tables are covered and have 2 of 4 sides covered to protect from the sun. There is an fun short hike from the campground to the cliff edge for a beautiful sunset view, and you can walk or bike to Dead Horse Point from the campground. This is a MUCH better choice for camping than any of the RV parks in Moab. Conserve your water, there is only one place to get drinking water in the campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Many of the sites are not very large or level and none were private or secluded in my opinion but the views and the park itself more than make up for it. Sites have 20 amp electric which is unusual for state parks in this area and very welcome but there is no potable water for filling your water tank. There is no shade to speak of but some nice greenery. There are flush toilets with water but no showers. We were in site #14 and had a lot of rain during our stay but the parking pad itself is paved and the area drained fine for us, we liked the site because it sits up on the hill a bit and had a nice view of the canyon beyond but our neighbors were fairly close on both sides. We have a 30 ft class A. The dump station is well situated for easy in and out but also has no water. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Well maintained park. Fantastic view of canyon. Sites have privacy from other campers. Pad size varies from 40 ft to 105 ft. Roads and pads are blacktop paved. A mixture of back in and pull through sites. Each site has a coverd picnic table with electric light and storage box. Electrical service is only 20 amp. Campers are advised to bring full water tanks. However there is limited potable water in the park. The park has a dump station also. Park is 23 miles from highway 191 on road 313. Is located 33 miles from Moab, Ut. Adjacent to the park is a Ranger operated visitor center. We camped in June. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful campground in the desert. Sites are secluded so you see the scenery instead of your neighbors. Very clean campground. We camped here in a camper.
We stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend because everything else was full. This campground filled up also. It had about 60 to 70 sites. It is located on Rt 313 before you get to Dead Horse Point State Park. The park had lots of ATVs but they were respectful and drove very slowly through the park. The park was very dusty and the wind blew all the time we were here. The camp host is very helpful and actually does his job. He is a very nice fellow. He also maintains a hiking trail adjacent to the campground. It is a beautiful walk. I would stay here again in a pinch but it wouldn't be my first choice because it is completely dry. There is no water, dump or showers. It has pit toilets. Well maintained, however. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Chipmunks, birds, bunnies, OH MY!! Everything was so amazing and cute. The breakfast is well worth it. The only thing I didn't like was that the showers are unisex. 9-11 is the cleaning time so go early. It was only awkward because a man was cleaning while I was showering. You have you're own little stalls, don't worry. They were still REALLY NICE though. We camped here in a Motorhome.
As far as KOA 's go this one goes is not bad. There are multiple amenities, pool, and breakfast. It is close to Moab and the different parks. The reason for the average score is mainly two things: sites are unusually unlevel which made it somewhat tricky to set up. Second, an employee came by to tell me that the manager had seen our dog tied to a tree next to our camper, and apparently we needed to be outside if the dog was outside. The only problem is I was working with the RV tanks so I WAS OUTSIDE, and the tree seemed to be a very benign, normal place to let our dog hang out without bothering anyone or being in the kennel. I have been to many KOA's; they are easy and convenient on your way to your destination. This trip alone we stayed in 6 of them. This is the only one that has mentioned something of this matter. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We arrived about 4pm and were told all the electric water sites were already taken which we doubted, however were tired and decided to pay the $45 for a full service site. They put us in E loop and we may as well have camped on the highway as the truck noise was incessant. Site was uneven and the unisex shower cubicles are like saunas with no natural light. The best thing about this park was checking out in the morning. We went elsewhere and the rest of our stay in Moab was a breeze. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a "cram in all the sites you can" park. Tight roads, tight sites, overgrown trees that will scrape the sides of your RV. Weak Wi-Fi signal if you are in the rear of the park. The pet walk was okay, not great. Park was clean and it would be a nicer place if they would widen the roads, trim the trees and increase the site size. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice place with friendly staff. Nice to have working WiFi. Away from town so it was quiet and there was wildlife around. Stayed here to see Arches and Canyonlands. Only strange thing was that the showers are not separated out: men/women, so the guys have to wait for all the girls to get finished primping. Good thing we had a motorhome. We camped here in a Motorhome.
OK for a one night stand. Has narrow interior roads. Roads and campsites are dirt. At sign in, you will be asked to sign a legal document, 8.5 by 11, single spaced, regarding your liability for your dog. When asked about the purpose of said document, the person at the desk took umbrage to the question. Verizon air/cell signal is very good. Will not stay here again, in part due to the lack of grass and the poor attitude of the single individual. Others in the office were very friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The price was a little less with the KOA Kard. The entrance is well marked and the staff very friendly. We had a pull-through site #63 with an unobstructed view of the desert and La Sal Mountains. The roads are dusty, but it is the desert. The WiFi was very good as was the Verizon signal for phone and data. Arches NP is just a 15 minutes drive. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed in a water/electric site. It has nice views and is a well maintained park. The staff was friendly. Large bathrooms and showers are available, as were dump services, all included in the rate. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This was an okay park. We had the deluxe site which comes with a fire pit, patio, table and a wooden swing. These spots back up to the busy road so it was quite noisy. Also, the dust in this area is terrible. Next time we will stay in a park with more grass and less dust/dirt. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were SUPER friendly - all older folks that run a very tight ship. Our kids enjoyed all the fun activities here. It was very hot, so they didn't get to play outside too much - other than swimming in the pool! It's always very windy here, so be warned. We enjoyed the pancake breakfast and ice-cream social each day. Our site was right beside the playground and we really liked it. Wi-Fi was strong. The camp store had a big variety. It was about a 5 minute drive to Moab and 10 minutes to Arches, so fairly convenient. We'd stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
First, I have to qualify this review. We stayed in one of their 2 premium sites and they are very nice, pavers, propane grill, propane fire pit and patio furniture, so that is worth a few points. If we stayed in one of the normal sites this CG would be no more than a 5. It is dusty, there is NO grass and it is filled with rental units with campers who have little regard for speed limits which makes it even worse. Also, the park is on the other side of Moab from all of the National Parks so you have to go through town to get anywhere. Not a big deal but worth noting. For the most part the staff is friendly except for one rude individual who didn't want any suggestions. I agree with other reviewers. There are much nicer parks on the north side of town and, if we come back we would stay there. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This KOA is NOT worth $50 per night. It is very dusty, has small sites, and a long way from the main attractions (Arches and Canyonlands). There is a very nice campground on the north side of Moab, right on the Colorado River and just a few minutes from Arches and Moab. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The price is the average. One night was 41.50 the other was 39.50. The higher was because it was a holiday. This is the first time in all our travels I have experienced a increase in price because of a holiday. Across the field was a cow pen/feed lot. At times we could smell them. The whole park was gravel/dirt. This park is the first one you come to coming from the south, please keep driving a little further north and you will find nicer parks for just as much money. Wish we had. We did not want to drive any further north than we had to in our motorhome to save the diesel. Wish we had. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very busy park, but the best in the area. No one to show you to your site so expect to get lost and drive around for a while. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Certainly a good KOA. Routing is a little difficult at times, but otherwise ok. Trees on route around CG could stand trimming so be careful when going to your site with a big rig. Great wifi and satellite coverage. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Definitely would stay here again. Problem: only 2 washers and dryers, so we had to go to town to do wash. We would definitely stay here again. We used this as our base camp to explore Arches and Canyonlands NPs. The best sites are 40 thru 45 as they are wide and you have have a view of Moab Fault. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We were misled by this park and therefore were unable to stay there. I spoke to a very nice lady on the phone a few days before we were thinking about staying there. She said to just call when we knew for sure and that they would fit us in for sure. I called a day or two later and was told by the man who answered the phone that there was a 5 day minimum that week due to the Jeep Safari...absolutely no exceptions. We had already changed our travel arrangements to include Moab and were now left without a place to stay. Fortunately, Moab Valley RV had a spot, although we would have much rather stayed at the KOA. I give them a 1 because one hand apparently doesn't know what the other one is doing, which left us scrambling. To the nice lady I spoke to initially (who left a very good impression), I am so sorry we didn't get to meet or stay at your park. "We did not stay in this park". We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
These are the rudest people I have ever met in my life. They have no customer service skill what so ever. They were very short and intolerant of people. I would not recommend this campground to anyone! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice KOA. Friendly and courteous staff. Restrooms and showers were immaculate. Sites were nice size. Good wifi strength. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed our visit to Moab despite the oppressive heat (over 102 every day of our visit!). This campground had plenty of shade and very friendly and helpful hosts. The bath houses were private and very clean. The pool was always crowded. We felt like a visitor to another country here, everywhere we went we heard a different language being spoken. My wife had $60 in cash stolen out of her purse which she had forgotten in a bathroom for five or ten minutes. That, and the heat, were the two lowlights of the visit. The good things really outweighed the bad though. The campground hosts will make reservations for you at many of the area attractions. We chose "Canyonlands by Night" dinner and light show which we highly recommend. The Canyonlands bus picked us up at the campground and dropped us off right at our camper after the show. Outstanding service, and many of the attractions will pick you up at the campground. The campground offered a pancake breakfast which we did not try. They also have several apricot trees around and invited my daughter to pick as many as she wanted as long as they were soft and orange. The general store was well-stocked for last minute items and our Wi-Fi connection was always strong. Our site had cable TV connection but we don't have a TV with our camper so we didn't try it. We will definitely stay here again, just not in July or August! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Very nice park. We stayed there one night on our way to Yellowstone. Very kids friendly. Nothing stands out to make a special place but it was adequate. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Most sites have some shade and seemed to be fairly level with all gravel. Wi-Fi good. Many sites are satellite friendly. Cable TV has all major networks but otherwise is somewhat limited. A large area is available as a pet walk but if your pet has to have grass you are in trouble as there is none anywhere and the Moab public areas are decidedly dog un-friendly. NO DOGS ALLOWED. We would most likely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Most campsites are shaded by medium size trees but the roads and sites are a dusty sand and gravel mixture making for a dusty situation. Staff were friendly and helpful and there are many amenities for children. However, compared to what we could see of other parks closer to the National Parks, it wasn't worth the 5 mile drive south of town. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Campground was clean with an interesting layout -- staff was very friendly. Sewer hookup on our site was awkward and not convenient, but water and electric was fine. Sandy site was very unlevel, so we had to extend our jacks as high as they could go. There are 2 Wi-Fi access points installed here, so coverage was above average. Compared to other RV Parks in Moab, we're glad we stayed here and would definitely visit again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an older KOA. The internal roads are dirt and gravel. The sites are dirt with gravel pads. The internal roads and site are narrow. The water pressure goes from bad to non-existent. Very few sites for big rigs or long 5th wheels. Some sites are pull through others are backins. This KOA has the most tent sites and KOA cabins I have ever seen. Like all of the campgrounds in Moab it is right on highway 191. The wifi is very weak away from the camp store. Air card and Sat/TV worked fine. We will look for another campground on our next visit to Moab. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We couldn't have had a nicer time. Park was about 1/2 full. The camp staff was very nice. Gravel spots were well maintained. I saw park staff drag the gravel spaces after each camper vacated. All amenities were in working order. Free WiFi a little spotty, but ok. Mountain and red-rock scenery from the park was gorgeous. Kids enjoyed the ice-cream social nightly. (Ok, I enjoyed it too!) Park staff very helpful in arranging tours. Park is about 5 miles south of town but is still convenient for exploring Arches and Canyonlands. Pool area was nice but pool was COLD! If my kids said it was cold, believe me, it was cold. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very clean restrooms and showers. Staff extremely friendly. Park is a bit dusty and quite a way out of town, so you must have a car or use a cab if you want to go into town without un-hooking your RV. First time we've experienced the KOA "Kitchen" where they cook you breakfast (for a fee). Good park for kids; as they have video games (for a fee), miniature golf and pedal carts available for rent. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great bathroom set up! Pool was nice and very clean. Sites were dusty - typical for southern Utah, but could be occasionally watered down. Staff were temperamental, and not very helpful when it came to town information. They did accommodate our early arrival though. Decent place for a one night stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very friendly staff, well trained and knowledgeable of the local area. The staff had good suggestions for activities, shopping, restaurants, and sight seeing. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I stay here every time I come to Moab. The cabins are nice and have air conditioning are clean. There is a small grill out front and small store on site. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.
This was our biggest disappointment on our two month trip. The sites were very tight and there were too many bushes and poorly placed trees around the site. Despite our best efforts, we scratched our trailer on a tree on the corner of the site. After setting up we found out that there was no TV reception and no cable on our site. We were told that we did not have full hookups (we had agreed to go without sewer) so we did not have cable. We cancelled our remaining four nights as we found much better accommodations elsewhere in Moab. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Most beautiful view you have ever seen. At night when the sun would set the towering rocks would glow and the mountains would appear purple. There is a nice pool at this campground. The sites are 100% dirt and close together, but what do you expect in the desert? There is Cable TV with 18 stations. One of the stations is The Weather Channel, so you can check the local Moab forecast before you go to the local national parks. We were only able to spend three nights, but wished we could stay longer. Moab is a neat little town. Arches Nat'l Park is a must see. We didn't make it to Canyonlands but heard it was nice to. The staff in the office is very helpful and spend a lot of time while checking in to tell you the must sees in Moab. The reason I didn't give this campground a 10 was because the sites weren't fantastic and the campground could use some minor improvements. I would recommend this campground for sure. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is an older KOA that shows its age. The office staff was helpful enough but the park just doesn't have much to offer. A jury-rigged irrigation system is plugged directly into the potable water system and drops pressure to almost zero when in use. All the dirt/gravel sites are narrow, closely spaced, and require much leveling. There are a lot better options in the Moab area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have always liked KOAs but not this one. The management was not very friendly and kept
emphasizing "the rules", yet we were two older, well traveled couples, one set retired with no kids or pets. However, the BAD problem was sanitation. Water hookups were within six inches of the sewage hookup and at ground level ... there was no way to keep the potable water hose from getting sewage soaked dirt on it as you connected it. Thank God for bleach. I checked several nearby sites, and all but one were the same way. Moreover, trickle water-hose was attached to the second hose bib ... I wonder if there was even a back-siphon valve. Anyway, management did not care. I have sent photos to KOA headquarters. Such unsanitary conditions are NOT ACCEPTABLE! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice KOA. Not much grass, even for tent sites. But what do you want for being in the desert? Good size pool finally gets some shade late in the afternoon. Average gift and grocery
stores. We camped here in a camper.
The only good things I can say about this park are that, with Camp Club discount, it's cheap, the water pressure is good and the owners and/or managers are friendly. Otherwise, most of the RV sites (as opposed to tents or truck-campers) are in a gravel parking lot. It's dusty and not appealing; we had a picnic table at our site on a concrete pad, but it was inconveniently located for a fifth wheel (it was toward the front of the rig, would be fine for a motorhome). The noise from the highway is very loud, even with AC running nearly non-stop. Our voltage meter showed wide variation in power, from a low of 109 to a high of 118: very dangerous for computers; it never did get to 120, which is normal for 50 amp power. The owner's (or manager's) dogs were running around without a leash, as were some others, despite a rule against it. On the other hand, it was cheap. But I don't think we'd stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
An OK campground. Nothing special, no problems. Some shady sites. Could never quite figure out the host's math for calculating the campground nightly rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Office staff very friendly and helpful. Sites seem mostly level and are all gravel. Plenty of space between sites and each has a concrete patio/pad and picnic table. W-iFi and cable TV are excellent. Compared to the other parks in the area, this one has the best price for the facilities offered. Park has no laundry but several are available within a mile, including one where you can have a beer and nachos while using the washing facilities next door. We would definitely stay here again. Arches National park is amazing. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I have stayed in 4 different camps in Moab and this is my favorite. Big fairly level sites, great views, friendly owners, good free internet. Nice tables and concrete pads to walk on. But you are right on Hwy 191 and there is lots of road noise as trucks are still going fast before they hit town. Sometimes hard to even get on the highway due to the fast traffic. And you are up on a hill and get LOTS of high winds and dust. But still better than most in Moab. There is also lots of free dry camping all around the area in the back country, a good deal of it accessible by larger rigs. Cheap scenic camping all along the river. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice clean park. Great views East and West. Owner is very accommodating. Good internet connection. Definitely recommend it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate is FHU 50 amp daily rate, with Camp Club USA discount. They told us they stopped their affiliation with Passport America. Gravel roads and pads. Pull through sites are wide open with no shade. Satellite reception excellent for both DirecTV and the Internet. Park Wi-Fi was generally good, but if you need 100% connectivity, use your own. Showers and restrooms exceptionally clean. We would stay here again. This was our third time staying at this park in three years. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park, outside of town. Many spaces with shade, big rigs have room. convent to town and site seeing. Easy in and out. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a better than average Passport America Discount Park. Cash or check only for the PPA rate. Most of the big rig sites are pull-thrus in the open with no shade. The smaller back in and pull-thru water and electric sites are well shaded. The Wifi works well. Cable TV is included with the full hookup sites. The bathrooms and showers are well maintained and clean. There is no laundry facility, but there are two large laundromats downtown. The campground sits above the level of the highway so the traffic noise is not as noticeable as at street level. This was our second stay at this park and we will stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a small campground on south side of town next to the highway. Road noise is obvious. RV sites are gravel, level, with a small concrete patio and picnic table. Voltage was a bit low at the time of my stay. Water pressure was good. Lots of cable channels and satellite signals are easily received. Wi-Fi is free, fast, and reception was good. Playground equipment is available. The majority of sites are big enough for most rigs, but the longer ones will have to unhook tow or towed. The staff has excellent knowledge of the local Nat’l Parks, facilities in town, and provides excellent customer service. This is not a picturesque, destination campground so it is not fair to rate it the same as one that is. But all the necessities are available and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Rate reflects a PPA discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We came to Moab, Utah with no idea which campground would be best but had read reviews on-line and found this one to have one of the best reviews. We stayed 10 nights in August (hot) but we were delighted to find electricity for tents thus a fan. The great hosts very helpful and friendly. We had an oversized tent and they worked with us on setting it to benefit us and not harm their grassy area which needed water every few days: we were there so many days. Every place that they suggested visiting turned out to be fun and very scenic. Their bathroom and showers were extremely clean. The separate room to wash dishes was great. Had some shade but the trees are not yet mature: they are being watered daily so are getting the help they need. A pavilion over the picnic table provided shade at certain times of day. Overall I would definitely stay here again. Rate included fee for electric. We camped here in a Tent.
What a fabulous little campground. I came for 1 night and stayed much longer. Located just south of town, high on the rim overlooking the area, the sites are gravel, very level pull-thrus. I had a great site under a large, shady tree. I read several reviews that said there was no grass or trees here. Not true, especially if you are a tenter. But folks tend to forget this is high desert and the owners have planted lots of tree and grass and constantly water these areas - it will take time and hard work for these to mature and grow. The owners went out of their way to make sure I felt at home, answering questions, assisting with day-trips, etc. The bathrooms and showers actually 'sparkled!' I would return and stay here anytime I am in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The rate is a Passport rate and makes this a great place to stay. The sites are gravel as well are the roads. Our site was pretty level and long enough for our big rig. The free Wi-Fi was not as strong as I had hoped but it worked fine from our location in the park. The free cable TV had plenty of channels and worked well. The office lady was really helpful in describing the goings on in and around town. The main road goes by the park and during the day you do hear the cars and trucks. At night it was not an issue for us, but maybe some others it would bother. The views are beautiful and you're close to the major National Parks. We would return should we be in this area again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Easy in-and-out campground just south of town. Road noise was not a problem. However, there is not a lick of shade and in the 100+ heat, this mattered. But the PA rate makes it a good deal. If I was paying full price I'd stay at Spanish Trails a little south of here. Great Wi-Fi. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground is close to hiwy with lots of noise: seems that this is a major north-south route for big trucks! Not very much shade here. In the heat of the day, the voltage dropped to 105 volts and we ran the AC as little as possible and minimized the rest of our electric use. But with the Camp Club USA rate of $17 per night, it was OK for 3 nights. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is an all gravel park. The price stated is a Passport America rate. The staff was very helpful. There are many other nicer parks in Moab, but for the PA rate this is an OK place. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We paid the Passport America rate for full hookups. The park is two miles South of town. The campground has gravel at the larger sites, with grass and some shade trees at the smaller ones. There are no laundry facilities in the park. Staff are pleasant, and exceptionally helpful with advice regarding attractions and scenic drives in the area This is a basic campground, but is a bargain when it comes to features per dollar. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This little park was just fine for an overnight stay. Cable TV, 50 amp and Wi-Fi, and a nice view of the mountains across the highway. Great shaded tent camping area. Even on the lookout for the park, we drove right past it because the sign was not readily visible until it was too late to turn left. Had to go into town and turn around and come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A great value at Passport America rate...$17 includes 50 amps and tax....Cable is no charge with 70 channels. Friendly clerk. The business next door is not an issue with me, it's far enough away...Pull thrus have concrete patio but most have no grass or shade...The tent sites are very nice with covered picnic table. Park is well kept. Cabins appear to be fairly new. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We didn't plan ahead where we were spending the night and called ahead from Salt Lake City. We got one of the last back-in sites, and this was leading into Memorial weekend. When we expressed interest in staying 6 nights, we were moved to a pull-through. Staff seemed a bit harried, but that was expected as the campground was full and lots of people had questions. We found them very friendly and helpful. Our neighbors had children and a dog - all very well behaved. The kids were kids, but in bed and quiet by 9:30pm no problems. Easy access to downtown. Wi-fi was a bit slow, so we used our Verizon aircard. Nice site, we'd stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The rate is with Passport America discount which is good Sunday through Thursday. This is a nice park with full hookup sites both pull through, pull in and back in. Restrooms were clean and well maintained. They have wi-fi which we did not use since our verizon air-card worked well here. As other reviewers have indicated the area across from and to the south of this campground is pretty crummy with lots of junk - the park itself is very clean and well maintained. The park is one of two (the other is Spanish Trail) which are located south of Moab which adds a little to the distance needed to drive to Arches, Canyonland, Dead Horse and the La Sal loop road. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park was clean and well maintained. It is evident the managers are working hard to improve the park. We had a space in the front row with a spectacular view of the mountains, and no trees blocking satellite reception. The campgrond wi-fi was very fast. The sites are level and the highway noise was minimal. We had no problem getting in and out with our 40' motorhome. This is one of the best Passport America parks. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This a difficult CG for us to review. It has a great location with just terrific views. It's in a solid location to see the area, the sites are level, a tad tight but not bad. The downside is the area it's in. A truck/equipment junkyard next door and kids on motor bikes are annoying. The trees are not yet mature, but this place has potential. Not sure if we'd stay again, but not all bad. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is clean well kept and quiet, surprisingly because it's right on the highway. There are very level pull thru's. We had an electrical brown out, but I really don't think it was the park's fault as electrical looks new and well kept. Lady manager is a bit testy, but loosened up after chatting a bit more with her. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had a group rally here and the weather was terribly (unusually) cold for this time of the year. The campgrounds did not have a building available for group meetings, however. We were offered a 'shed' but it was too cold and windy. The campgrounds are clean; staff was very nice. They were in the process of rearranging some of the sites and had poured new concrete sidewalks and picnic table areas in the front row by the highway. Highway noise was minimal, especially at night. Great view of the La Sal Mountains (covered with snow). WiFi was terribly slow. No other amenities. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed here because it was a Passport America campground, but only one night was eligible. Weekend nights are regular rates only. Basic campground with all the usual hookups. Staff are very friendly and the campground is clean. The sites are of ample width with gravel for the site slots and the roads. Some road noise, especially on the front row. Nice views of the surrounding hills. WiFi was good and included in price. 2 miles out of town, but more affordable than the RV parks in Moab. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is Moab's newest campground featuring lovely grass tent sites and RV spaces located two miles South of town on the West side of Hwy 191. While it is sited near a busy roadway, heavy truck noise was moderate. The rate listed reflects the Passport America discount valid only Sunday through Thursday nights. The desirable park was nearly full in the Fall season, so advance reservations are advised, but not required. Only cash or checks are accepted with any discounted rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We spent 2 nights here and found the staff friendly and helpful. The sites are very close together but you are able to park to maximize your privacy. Nice pool, reasonably close to town. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here because it is so close to Arches NPark. Big rigs would have a problem here starting with the abrupt entrance and continuing with the tight turns and crowded spaces. High level of security requiring card entry after check-in, that was nice. Tight corners everywhere, we have a 22' conversion van and it took expert maneuvering to get into our space. The great news is it was level, something hard to come by in our 6 week trip. Showers were clean and hot but I suggest campground owners have their wife or daughter shower there to find out what is missing. #1-no place to put soap or shampoo, #2-a shelf 8' high is stupid and useless. Internet went from OK to useless in one hours time, typical for most campgrounds but there were very few campers on site so plan on no Wi-Fi if there are more than a few people staying. The price was fine for the amenities given but with a little thought could be much better (except for the too tight spacing). We camped here in a Motorhome.
This place is actually renamed to Moab Valley RV Resort. In my opinion, it is far from a "resort". The sites are shared, meaning that you face your neighbor with a small strip of grass between you (about 2 feet wide). Unfortunately we had a neighbor who was extremely friendly and always wanted to chat, meaning that we couldn't sit outside in peace unless he was away. The "resort" is immediately next to the main highway which is busy all day and all night, a very noisy place to stay. That being said, all of the places we looked at in Moab are fairly dumpy and most are near the same highway. Unfortunately the selection in town is very limited. Rate is for 3 people; they charged an extra $5 per day for my 14-year old. That's a big rip off for such a dumpy place. We won't be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Excellent park, just as represented, very friendly people, convenient location and well laid out. We would stay here again and recommend it to our friends. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very tight spaces. Hard to dock with a 43 footer. Location was great, but very near highway. Noisy, no satellite reception. Would try somewhere else next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We originally paid for 2 days but changed to 4 after realizing how much there is to do in Moab. The campground is in a fantastic location - near to Arches, and the town. Has a security gate and key so you don't feel like someone will come in the night and steal your bikes/ATV's. There is a pool, huge chess/checkers board. The only downside is this place is super crowded and the dog walk needs to be much bigger for how many dogs are visiting here. There are all kinds of kids running around having a great vacation - don't expect a quiet laid back resort. It's a family vacation type of place. Wi-Fi worked great We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Rather than paved interior roads roads and parking sites are of gravel, though level and well maintained. It is configured so that vehicles have to park nose to nose in most spaces, making things very close when slides go out. To the right is an island with concrete curbs and a concrete walk the entire length on both sides. There is a huge tree in each island though barren of leaves at this time and the island is of lawn. There is a picnic table and barbecue. This island is shared with the vehicle on the other side of the island, again making things very neighborly. Few people while there so no problem. Office personnel answered my email inquiry and the woman at the desk was pleasant and helpful. Cable TV and free Wi-Fi though Wi-Fi will not allow sending out mail with any attachments apparently as my computer crashed each try after several minutes. Because of the Wi-Fi not doing what I wanted it to do I will rate this park a 6 at best. The cover to the electrical box was broken, with the brads that holds covers on missing. Thus, when attempting to get to the electrical outlet the entire cover fell out. This is not a park I would stay at again considering what is provided for the price. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Asked for a pull-thru site for a one night stay and was assigned one that required me to unhook the tow vehicle - otherwise I'd be blocking the thru-way. The office staff exhibited a somewhat arrogant and imperious attitude when I questioned them about longer, open spaces (that went unoccupied throughout the night). Couple this with discovering the following morning at departure, a broken rear tail lamp cover...just a very disconcerting experience. Coincidentally, I noticed a motorhome adjacent to me with a broken driver's side glass window broken. Coincidence? Perhaps, but.....I don't believe I'll be staying here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground is nice and clean, the people were helpful and pleasant. We stayed here just for one night to see two national parks. We drove through the Arches National Park the day we arrived and the next day when we checked out we drove through the Canyonlands National Park. It was so convenient to both parks and the parks are really nice, so would definitely recommend if passing this way you take the time to view the parks and this RV spot is a great place for a night or two. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate is for a "standard" site - with a 25' motorhome and a small car, we were hanging out into the road a bit. A big rig would need to get a deluxe or premium site for the length. Water pressure is a little high. Few sites have a private grassy area, most share with another rig on the other side of the grassy strip. The odd side-by-side parking configuration put rigs within inches of each other. We looked around at a distance at other campgrounds, and Riverside Oasis seems to have more trees, but we were unable to determine if they have more space per rig. Moab Valley does have some trees (one per grassy strip) and they are welcome in the hot sun (90+ during our stay). The restrooms and showers are clean and fine, and the pool looked nice. The available Wi-Fi is Tengo, but our Verizon broadband service worked great. The office will make arrangements for excursions like rafting, but we didn't avail ourselves of this service. If we come to Moab again, we'll probably consider other options. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I was offered the Passport America rate for the entire length of my stay: not just the normal 2 nights. The owners went out of their way to be of assistance. I had a lovely campsite under a big shade tree, green grass outside my door and a nice, big picnic table. The showers and restrooms were spotless and the view of the towering red rocks is just beautiful. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I would have given this campground a much higher score, however it has a terrible flaw: RV's are crammed in side-by-side. We literally had a foot between our motorhome and the neighbor's slideout. The place is very clean, and there are beautiful shade trees, however that made it difficult for satellite reception. Seems the pool closes too soon at 9 pm: would have enjoyed relaxing after the day's activities. Will try a different campground, with larger sites, the next time we're in Moab. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We really liked this park. We choose a "premium" site, which was spacious, but we had to share the lawn and picnic tables with our neighbors because of the side by side configuration of these spaces. We were lucky and had great neighbors for the two nights we stayed, but that could be the luck of the draw. The grounds were well taken care of and the park is clean. The staff is awesome and gave us some valuable information regarding renting a car for the day and other useful info. The pool and hottub were great, but very busy all of the time. We will certainly come back to this RV Park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
While this campground's brochure advertises "Large, pull-thru RV sites", the sites are anything but large. The distance between extended slides on the adjacent motorhome and mine measured 22 inches. The park staff seemed more interested in emphasizing the penalty for loss of a gate card than in attending to problems with Internet access which was poor or non-existent for 3 of the 4 nights I stayed at the park. The next time I'm in the area, I plan on visiting one of the nearby parks which advertises 40' x 80' sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very well laid out park - best of our trip. Plenty of room to maneuver motorhome & towed vehicle. We were very disappointed with 30A power supply, however. We were reading 104V. The low voltage blew out my motorhome's EMS board when the second A/C tried to come online. Bummer in 104 degree heat when only one A/C would work. The 50A side of the box had 115V so we used that but the damage was done. Pool was pure chlorine but a welcome break from the heat. Trees over each site do well to provide shade, but poured sap on our awning over just two short nights. What a mess to clean up. All in all, a good, 'premium' campground with good security but boring location that doesn't do much for ambiance. Next time will try something different. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wi-Fi excellent. Pool excellent but too much chlorine and pool closes when office closes at 9pm, which is a bummer for adults who would like to use the hot tub later in the evening. Was told this was because tent campers complain. laundry closes at 730pm with last access at 9pm. Gated access technically meant no visitors. Cable was acceptable and office staff very nice. Showers are not co-ed but very clean. Very clean park. Has putting green but not miniature golf. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very beautiful park just down the road from the Arches National Park. Very level, shaded sites. Unique activities, like life-size chess and checkers. It is gated. The pool and spa is located just outside the door to the office. Free wifi. No discounts given. The staff was not very friendly, all business. They gave the impression that they didn't care if you stayed there or not. What a shame. Could have been a 10! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very clean and secure park, not noisy like a lot of parks in Moab. The staff is super nice and helpful. Restrooms and showers are spotless and maintained. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed the month of May in this park at a cost of $640 for the month. Gated resort area and very secure and maintained. The pull throughs could be tight if you are longer then 40' Close to Arches National Park and the Colorado River. The only down was the cotton wood trees are a little messy during the spring time. We will return to this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice park and I was here for 2 weeks over the Memorial Day weekend so it was busy and everything in town was sold out. It's a very nice park and the staff were excellent. Wi-Fi worked very well but I was 60 feet from the Pavilion. However Verizon 3G cards work at full speed here so Wi-Fi was redundant for me. I thought the place was well kept and the 360 degrees canyon views are awesome. You probably can't find a better base camp for access to town, Canyon lands National Park and Arches National Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good location to downtown Moab. We have a 31ft travel trailer and requested a pull through. The site was tight making it hard to park our TV near the trailer. There are larger pull throughs but they apparently don't offer those unless requested. Great pool & jacuzzi. Management can be a bit anal with rules and reg's but all in all it is well run and a nice park. Stayed a week. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We would never have stayed here had we known what it was like, however, we were very grateful to get a spot (KOA misinformed us on their availability and turned out there was a 5 day minimum due to Jeep Safari). The spots were very tiny and we couldn't even fit our truck in the spot (we have a 26' travel trailer). Our neighbor campers had left their bikes and a big crate in our space. That neighbor also had a clothes line set up right where our window faced. We moved into the only other available spot instead, which was on the other side of that same unkempt neighbor. Having said this, this was a full hook-up, pull-through, level site. As long as we stayed in our trailer, it was fine. The WIFI didn't work consistently. I probably would have given this place a 5, but bumped them up due to getting us in at the last minute. Arches National Park was very close and amazing, so we still had a great time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The campground was clean and relatively quiet. However, the staff was not very helpful and sometimes seemed "clueless". The wi-fi did not work for 7 of the 8 days we stayed, and the young lady at the desk said it was no big deal because it was free to us. We will probably stay at a different campground next October. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campground has security gates and is located about 3 miles from downtown Moab on Hwy 191 with little highway noise. Pull-through, full hook-up RV sites are wide and gravel with grassy area dividers; and are located separate from cabins/tents. It is an excellent location for Arches Nat Park and Hwy 128 canyon drive. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I checked in and everything went well, went away for a bit came back and went to relax at the pool. While I was there we noticed a Class C pull in and check in. At this time there were almost three empty rows of spots for RV's where did this Class C have to go why right next to us. When front desk was queried as to why it was only cause she lacked the imagination and initiative to look at the whole park and say lets put you here as there is no one else there. Her solution was to have me unhook and rehook up at another sight? So an hour of work cause of the neglect by the front desk staff to ensure that well the campground is empty you could simply space out the guests. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This was our second stay (we were here in September, 2007), and the park is as we described then – sites close together, often not level, and pull-throughs barely long enough to accommodate our 25-ft trailer and crew cab tow vehicle. The park still is basically dirty gravel – it certainly wouldn't take that much money for proper gravel to keep down the dust and dirt, but unfortunately that did not happen in the year since we've been here. Its location is excellent, staff is friendly, the shade trees are lovely in the heat, cable TV reception is average (but selection is good), and the wi-fi is excellent with no access problems. The water pressure is about 85 psi, so a reducer is important. We camped 2 nights with no pets. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Easiy accessible from the 191 just north of Moab. WIFI very good. Pool and hot tub good. Pull through sites fairly spacious and shaded. Recommend the 'end cap' sites for a little more space and privacy. Nice activities for kids - 'horseshoe chucking', giant chess and checkers boards. Price, a little on the higher side but facilities are pretty good. Warning - mosquitoes are everywhere due to the proximity of the river so bug spray is essential. Immediate sites of interest - Arches Park, Canyonlands (and for a quick taste of Canyonlands spectacular views - DeadHorse Point State Park) For access back to the I-70, highly recommend the 128 Scenic Byway instead of 191 (better suited to smaller rigs although doable in a 45fter!) We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice campground for children with a nice pool and other activities like a life sized chess and checker board. It is a couple of miles outside of town and there is no trolley service from the campground to town so if you are not pulling a car you have to unhook frequently. (we were spoiled in Durango) We rented a Jeep for a few days to make it easy to get around to both NP's and town without unhooking frequently. The site is very level and really beautiful but one major problem is mosquitos. The town has been taken over this year due to the high water according to many towns people we talked to. The campground is near the Colorado River making the mosquito issue worse. We can not eat outside if the RV for dinner or breakfast without bug spray or long pants and long sleeves. On a brighter note the area is amazing. I highly recommend hiking the Fiery Furnace hike in Arches NP if you are physically able. It is a very challenging hike with lots of rock scrambling. Great fun for the kids. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Friendly, helpful staff. Spacious lanes to maneuver your RV. Shaded spots, gravel level pads, gravel roads. On the expensive side, but nice park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is very well maintained and beautiful. We loved all the activities that they have for kids. They have a giant chess and checkers boards, putting green, playground and pool. The sites were nice and level and fit our motorhome and car. The employees were very friendly and also helped us book tours in the area. We would recommend this campground to our friends and family. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy access from the highway and staff very friendly. They have gates with security card access to keep unauthorized people out of the park. We had an end pull through so no neighbor on our door side. Nice grass area with tree, BBQ and table. However, your neighbor is close. If you don't get an end space, you share the grass space with your neighbor. It was a very clean park, Wi-Fi with no problems, and was close to Arches National Park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Sites are not long enough, you cannot park your truck on your site. We also had a little trouble getting into the site, we noticed others had problems too. It says big rig friendly, NOT SO. We like more space!!! Also the Hwy is very loud, all day and early AM. Would stay at a different park next time. They do have nice restrooms and the laundry room has lots of washers and dryers, commercial size. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Choose your site carefully for this park. The site I selected was ample for my 40' motorhome, 2 slides, and Honda CRV behind it. I had one of the Premium sites. My site was not side by side, but many were. While I had no trouble pulling into my site, it can be an issue when two large rigs share a site. If you want spacious, try another park. Cable was excellent, WiFi worked well, I was at the furthest part of the park. While the travel surface was gravel, I stepped out onto a cement walkway with grass and a picnic table, under a large shade tree. I had a site that did not affect satellite reception, but I can see where it could be a problem. On the other hand the cable has so many channels, I used it a lot. Nice big Spa to relax in, didn't use the pool. Water pressure was very high, a regulator should be used to prevent damage to plumbing. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The advertisement of “large, pull-through sites” is a bit misleading. Our 25-foot travel trailer, with the three-quarter ton crew-cab tow vehicle parked behind it, barely fit into the pull-through. The sites are dirty gravel – basically, dirt with sparse gravel and not level. Sites are also very close together with the grassy area (complete with two picnic tables) shared with your neighbor, since the pull-throughs are entered in an alternating fashion (ie, not lined up in the same direction). There are nice, mature shade trees throughout most of the park, at least for our area. Security seems a little overboard (gate card to enter, and automatic gate to leave), but we really can’t fault it. It’s not clear how visitors would be handled (for example, if one had relatives in town), so this should be clarified with management before reserving a site if this is important. The location is good, as it is close to town and the two national parks (Arches and Canyonlands). The park is close to the highway and there is some noise, but not bad. Cable TV was excellent – probably the largest selection of channels we’ve encountered. WiFi is good when you can log in (the authentication process limits the number of users). Showers and restrooms were clean, but nothing special. We camped 3 nights in a 25-foot travel trailer with no pets. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice park, but the security is a little over the top. Feels like you are in a high crime area with the fences and security system to get in and out of the park. I didn't like that they wrote down my credit card number to keep, in case you didn't turn back in your security access card. The charge for not returning the access card is $20. Sites were shaded but not large enough to park your tow vehicle so you had to park it away from your site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Big Rig Owners Beware! When we made reservations for 2 nights we indicated that we wanted a site, without trees (Sat dish) for a 45' motorhome. The site that was assigned to us was treeless but because of the rocks and site angle we were unable to swing into the site. After further inspection of all of the sites without trees we realized that the only way for a large motorhome to get into these sites was to back in, if possible. Because there was a road opposite our site we were able to back into the site. Afterwards I tried to explain to the owner that we should have been told that our assigned site was not a pull through for a motorhome of our size. After a long, hot day of travel it would be nice to be told exactly how to approach your site to make entry easy and without mishap. We spent the rest of the afternoon watching other large rigs encounter similar problems. Big Rig sites is not true for this campground. The advertised Wifi was unavailable and the owners not the least bit friendly or helpful. I definitely would not return to this park and I would not recommend it to anyone especially big rig owners. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very disappointed in the campground. One directory said mostly paved. Well the only paved area is the entry way by the office. The rest of the campground is very, very dusty gravel. Came in with a nice clean motorhome and left with my coach and motorcycle covered with dust. My reservation said I would have a 60 ft pull through full hookup so I could bring my 40'DP in with motorcycle trailer on back. Pull throughs are side by side hookups. The RV next to me was a 43'DP with car in front and in the rear. No way to turn RV into space much less RV and trailer. I have more turning radius at my house for a car than they do for a 40'DP into their pull throughs. Called office and requested one of the other many sites open that I could pull into with ease. No, they were reserved for other guest. They said they would come down to site and see what was going on. They left me in 108 degree heat waiting and had to call back. A non-friendly gentleman showed up to see what was going on. No one was home in adjacent RV to move the car parked in way. I was told if you can't get the motorhome in there some way, we will give you a refund and you can leave, that's your only option. I was wondering why I wanted to pay extra money for a pull through when I can't pull through. So I dropped the motorcycle trailer. Had to go around to other side of park and back into the campsite, then pull my trailer up to motorhome and rehook. I had decided to stay the night since it was too much hassle to hunt up another campground that late. So I went to the office immediately after getting setup, and requested a refund for the remaining days I had paid for since there was no way I wanted to stay at this dust pit with such unfriendly staff. They told me that they did not give refunds on unused days. After much hassle, he finally decided to give me a refund on unused days but then he said he would have to charge me a $10 fee for making a credit card refund. I just about lost it at that point. I will never come back to this campground again. If I knew any of my employees were so rude and so unhelpful to my customers as the staff here was to me, I would fire them on the spot. This is not just my opinion. I had 3 other guest come up to me and tell me how rude and unhelpful they were to them also. We camped here in a Motorhome.
If you want security, this is the park for you. It was clean and shady, but still enough room for a taller rig. Sites are small and side by side. There are a lot of signs and rules, but so-many people still need to be reminded about campground etiquette. Roads get narrow to sites when fifth wheel pickups overhang and crowd the road, it does take finesse to maneuver a 45' coach around them. If you desire quiet, forget it...this is a jeep and quad park, expect work on vehicles for play the next day. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very close to the highway, very loud. As the other reviews say, not the most friendly mgmt. I definitely would not stay here if you're looking for a quiet campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Pleasant front desk and clean, gated park. Sites very close to each other. Only real issue was the incredibly busy highway literally on-top of this RV park; noisy and a challenge for larger rigs to ease into and out-of traffic to enter campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Our family of 4 LOVED this campground. There are tons of activities for the kids. (Putting green, giant chess and checkers, horseshoes, tetherball and a pool) The campground was not crowded, and all the campers were spaced apart which allowed for privacy instead of packing us all together in one area. It may not be that nice when it is full. We enjoyed being so close to Arches National Park. (Go in the spring instead of the heat of summer!)The restrooms/showers were spotless every day of our stay. This will be our campground of choice whenever we are in Moab. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed here for 3 days and thought it was a very nice campground. It was clean and safe and gated for added safety. Arches National Park and Canyonlands were nearby. If we ever get back to Moab, this is the RV park for us. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This wasn't our first visit and we returned after being unimpressed with two other RV parks in the area. This park is well-organized, maintained, and kept up. Although the current WiFi signal did not reach my RV parked in the last row (next to a vacant lot giving an unobstructed view of the mountains), they have plans to improve that situation. The pull thru sites have side-by-side hook-ups so you may have a very close neighbor if/when slides are out. The Management staff's willingness to enforce park rules can be a good thing if your neighbor has failed to use a rubber doughnut on his sewer. We won't return to one of the other competitors park's because we were next to a camper who threaded his sewer hose down the pipe and blocked up the system. Luckily we were just leaving as the mess was being assessed by the unhappy camphost and camper. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had a wonderful time at this campground, the kids loved the pool, chess and all the activities. We did a lot of ATV riding and loved that the trails were not to far from this campground. Its a good basecamp to visit all the National Parks in the area. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Did not notice to many rules. Lots of trees, very nice and friendly staff. One of the best parks we have ever stayed at. We were on a motorcycle pulling a popup camper, a friend met us there in his van and parked in our site, they only charged him $5.00. Defiantly will stay again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
As others have reported, there are many many signs. Do this. Don't do that. But the staff was pleasant and the campground is run with precision. Automatic gates control vehicle traffic, which is good for security, but return your access card or they charge $20 to replace it. All that not withstanding, it is a wondeful park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice clean Park, but management was rude and too many rules!! All we saw were signs telling you what not to do and not one saying have a nice stay!! Dogs are not really welcome, no matter what they say! We drove in and caught the manager standing
on his golf cart trying to see into our MH!!! Granted, it is clean and looks nice, but the overbearing rules rude managment make your stay less than pleasant. We would never stay there again for any reason. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I agree with most of what has been said above. The campground is one of the best
maintained and has one of the best on-site recreational packages that I have come across (the giant chess and checkers are a hoot). That said, bring bug spray. Being right on the Colorado River (and its adjacent marsh) results in lots of big, hungry skeeters on warm summer evenings. Also, don't break (or even think of bending) any of the rules that the owner lays out in excruciating detail at check-in. I guess that it takes a certain mindset to build and maintain a facility that is this nice. Unfortunately, that mindset also thinks customers are potential vandals that need to be carefully monitored. This got more than a little intrusive and we (2 adults and a 9 yo girl) where very well behaved. Were it not for this attitude, I would have rated this facility a 9. Lose the bugs and it would be a 10. 5th wheel - June 2004 We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground, friendly staff, bathrooms were immaculate, secure campground. Kids had fun at pool and with games. Small dog run area. Nice open area around campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a well cared for park. It's 3 minutes from town and very near the Colorado river. The staff is friendly & helpful. They have a great spa & pool (not many parks in Moab even have a pool). Overall a very
positive experience. We camped here in a camper.

This is a must when staying in the area. The owners are friendly and helpful. We were given brochures, maps and even menus from the area when we checked in. There is a small giftshop with good pricing. The entire campground was immaculately maintained especially the restrooms. The sites are close together but level and shaded. I loved this park! The nicest one in Moab. Everything is new, nice grass. They don't seem to allow large dogs, little ones are OK. Don't like the side by side hookups but they're large, plenty of room for slideouts. Nice pool. We camped here in a camper.
The back-in sites are very big with lots of grass and shade trees. Definitely not walking distance from downtown Moab, but that makes it a quiet park. About 6 miles from Ken's Lake, which my dog loved. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Rate shown is the Passport America rate. The sites are level, gravel with grass in between sites. The park is well maintained and management was very accommodating to my satellite needs. The views here are spectacular. The park is one block off the highway, but there was very little noise. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very pleased with this park. Great site (#1) a back-in, a bit of shade, end site, great view of the sandstone mountains in front of us. Location was great being off US 191, south of town, near all the attractions (went to National Bridge, Needles at Canyonlands, Needles Overlook, Arches, Island in the Sky at Canyonlands and even drove over to see Goblin Valley State Park). Would definitely stay here again if we came back to this area. Office personnel was extremely friendly, helpful and very nice. Good grassy sites and well maintained park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Spent one night passing through Utah after seeing Arches NP, which is a short drive away fro this CG. Staff friendly, and gave us booklets of info on things to do locally. Sites were level, satellite and Wi-Fi were acceptable. Could have stayed at a number of other CGs closer to Arches, but would not have driven through the town, which was lovely. Price is after Passport America discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is four miles from the center of town and far enough from the highway that you don't hear much sound from hwy traffic. It is one block off the main hwy. The owners offer discounts (10%) for most anything. We are veterans and they gave us a discount even thought this is not a normal thing for them. The park is very nice and the price is right. We choose full hookup's but they do offer a lower price for only water and electric. Most sights have a shade trees and all have a grass area where the picnic table are situated. Owners offer many tips regarding things to see and do in the town. Arches National Park is six miles from the campgrounds. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Excellent campground just south of Moab with friendly helpful staff. We stayed under Passport America rate with 50 amp FHU, an excellent price for the area. Clean well kept park, good free Wi-Fi, good water pressure, good Verizon signal. We really liked this park and would stay here again if we return to the area. Highly recommend. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is as named "OK". It was dusty, with no landscaping, and little shade. However, with the CCUSA discount, the price was right! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
I choose this campground based on other reviews and was not disappointed. We stayed at O.K. on our way to the Grand Canyon and liked it so much that we stayed there again on our return trip. The hosts were flexible - we wanted to spend more time at Arches NP and the lady in the office made arrangements for a later check out time for us so that we could keep our pets cool without an extra charge. Very clean showers and restrooms. Shade is hit and miss ranging from good to none. A great view of the red cliffs and the La Sal Mountains. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I don't know anything bad I can say about this park. Passport America makes it a tremendous value in the middle of many other area parks charging much more. When I rate a park, I look at all the services that could be available and deduct for those not available. This park gets no deductions. It's a great park at any price. I agree with all that has been said about it. We would/will stay here again and look forward to it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great Oasis in the desert. Nice grass patio at each site. Long, and I mean long pull-through sites. Friendly and helpful management. Convenient to Moab. We will stay here again. Rate was Passport, excellent value. We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a wonderful experience! The staff (owners?) were friendly and very helpful. The park was clean and well maintained. Laundry room was very clean. And the Wi-Fi worked better than our house! I would go back any time. They take Passport America. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Camped here for 2 weeks plus. Did not plan on staying that long, but it is convenient to all the sights, inexpensive with Passport America, and everyone is so friendly. Big spaces with a bit of grass, not too crowded and very quiet. Heard mostly crickets at night. Loved the shady areas. We camped here in a class A 40 ft. with tow and there was plenty of room. There is a wonderful mix of campers--tents, campers, trailers, million dollar rigs, etc. We loved it here and probably will return in the future. Highly recommend to all staying in the Moab area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Our family of 8 stayed here for 3 nights. We enjoyed the convenience of Arches National Park as well as the many trails in Moab. We really enjoyed the Negro Bill trail, which is between Moab and Arches. We used Passport America. The campground's website says that children stay free in an RV, but I did not see evidence of this. After our P.A. discount, the children were added. This was still a nice place for a good price. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Good park for the money. Rate reflects Passport America discount (50 amp). Short distance from town and off the main highway so no noise. Our site had enough room for our 4 slides plus some grass for sitting outside. Site has picnic table. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again if in Moab. Wi-Fi was very good and we weren't near the office. DirecTV satellite worked well as did AT&T and Verizon. Some areas of the park need cleaned up: too messy. Park is across from an arena: could become very dusty if activities going on. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wonderful site with friendly and helpful staff. It is very pet friendly. It is off the main highway and is very quiet. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The rate reflects a discount. I would advise anyone coming to Moab to look online to determine what events are going on during their stay. We arrived on a Thursday and unknown to us the Indy 500 of ATV racing was going on. Place was buzzing with every type of ATV made. The racing oval is next to this RV park. Sites are close and the park tends to be dusty. We travel with our dogs and best place to walk them was in back of the park near the racing oval, but you need to be aware of the nasty burrs that stick in pets paws . The 2 washers and dryers worked well, but there is not enough machines for the number of sites. The cable TV and WiFi worked well. If we were to return to Moab we would select a park closer to town. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed our stay here. It's close enough to town and far enough from the highway. The WiFi was good and cable was good. It was dusty and our site had no shade, but we've been used to this while at several parks in the desert. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We are not sure why, or how the previous 3 people rated this RV Park at an 8. The park is very dusty and the overall appearance leaves a lot to be desired. The laundry facility is totally inadequate as it only has 2 washers and dryers: we had to take our laundry to a local Laundromat. We would not recommend this park nor will we stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We think this is one of the better parks in the area. It is about 4 miles to town and friendly owners with lots to do in the area. We planned on spending 1 week, and stayed 3 weeks. The just under $18 a night price was using a Passport discount. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff friendly and helpful. The sites are a reasonable size. There was very good WIFI. We used our Passport America membership. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Initial impression of this park is that it's just good for a one night stay, but the owner and hosts work hard to ensure your stay is pleasant. Our first night was in overflow ( we came in early ) and there are lots of cockleburrs to annoy the dogs. We we moved up to a pull through site and the burrs mostly disappeared. Strong recommendation: make sure you have a reservation, or plan on being turned away. All these area parks are very popular at this time of year. This park doesn't appear to be as noisy as other parks as they're off the highway and well hidden. It's near the Moab Golf Course ( $29.00 to walk and play, $42.00 to ride ). They do need speed bumps to slow down some of the people that don't understand the posted 5MPH. They serve free coffee in the AM and ours was a Passport America price. It's about 4 miles from downtown Moab: very convenient. We would stay here again if passing through the area as we had a nice pull-through for our 41-footer with real grass ( free of burrs ) and patio table. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great views with spectacular sunsets over the mountains. Nice campground, tucked away from the main highway. Campsites were a little close together and are probably a bit cramped for the larger rigs. Each site had a picnic table and grassy area next to the site, and some sites had good shade. Easy access to the town of Moab and The Arches National Park and other surrounding National Parks. We walked our dogs in the stable area behind the park, which didn't seem to be a problem with anyone. Wi-fi and cable TV worked well. Beautiful scenery and inexpensive campsite. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Moab. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Older campground that you need to pick your site (walk around) before you park. Some site are NOT big rig friendly, others are great. Nice park, however, for the price and good place to see the 2 National Parks from. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very basic park without a lot of extra amenities. The rate is based on Camp Club USA discount. The office staff are very nice. The sites are mostly pull-throughs, but they are pretty short, so you would need to park your tow sideways. The included cable TV is nice, as there is not much to do after dark. During the day, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks are close by. There are also several petroglyphs and other attractions, but most of them are not well marked. If you are willing to drive a couple of hours, Hovenweep and Natural Bridges National Monuments are somewhat nearby. The campground is off the main highway, so it is very peaceful and quiet. I would stay here again if I were in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park. We stayed a week. Clean, well kept. Good shade with room for satellite reception. Gave them a 9 based on the PPA rate of $16/night. Others in Moab are twice the cost and not much better. We will stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The office staff were nice. The laundry room has 2 washers and 2 dryers so if you have a lot of laundry wait for another campground. Spaces are tight. We were woke up at 6:30 in the morning by our next door neighbors cranking up their diesels and 4 wheelers getting ready to leave. There were alot of open spaces where the campers could have been spread out instead of bunched together. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We camped here with passport and if you want 30 amp it is 2.00 cheaper. It was 17.00 and change, but I put 18. as the cost. They have an older section which has smaller sites but more trees so you can get a little shade. The newer section is better for larger rigs. This is the second time we have camped here and both times we have found everyone who works in the office to be super nice and helpful. The restrooms and laundry are very clean. I would recommend this to anyone coming to Moab. It is a little out of town, but that did not bother us. If you have been to Utah, you know that most sites are just gravel and it is windy and dry out here. I give it a 9 because I like it. Someone who wants a lot of concrete and grass and trees may not agree...but this is Utah. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park gets a 10 for scenery and views. Location is away from the major highways so it is quiet. The sites are gravel and some are level and some are not (ours was) but I saw many rigs with leveling equipment...some class A's had the front wheels off the ground to get their rigs level. Sites are fairly short and roads are gravel and narrow. However, there were quite a few very large rigs there. Cable TV has 70 channels, however the Wifi is rather slow...but it is free. Our rate is based on a 50% discount through Camp Club America plus $1.00 surcharge to use our air conditioning. This park has the basics and is a good place to use as a base to see Arches NP and Canyonlands NP. Given the low price we paid, we are satisfied with this park and would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great park for base camp as we did to visit Arches and Canyonlands NP. Golf course is only a short drive away. Only draw back was only 2 washers and dryers so had to o to town to do wash. Dusty, but so is the rest of Moab. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great park, sandy but all parks are this way in Moab. Used Camp Club USA and paid halve price. 50 amp service available and can accommodate big rigs. People are very nice and hope to stay here again as we used this as our base for 4 wheel Jeeping. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park is dusty, but so are most of the parks in this area. Rate is for Passport plus $2 per night for 50amp. This is by far the quietest spot in Moab. Off the highway so very little road noise. Power and water good. Staff friendly. Not easy to manouver with big rig but can be done. WiFi worked ok for us but we were close to office. Would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park suffers from massive deferred maintenance. Remnants of landscaping and patches of grass remain but are being replaced by weeds (with stickers) and dirt. A few sites have some shade. Roads and pads are deep sand and dirt and heavily rutted, and there can be a lot of dust in the air. Amenities are: bathrooms with showers (which need to be razed and rebuilt), a laundry, a small book exchange, a shaded common picnic area, cable TV, and free wi-fi. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Sites don't have picnic tables, grills, or fire pits. That said, we stayed here a month because it met our minimal needs and the price is right for we Passport America members ($15.50 tax included for 30-amp). We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate reflects Passport America discount. If you're not into the extra amenities (pool, store, putt-putt, play area), but just a very good place to park and camp then this is the place to go. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Power is good, water is good and spaces are not overly crowded. There were trees between spaces, along with picnic tables. There is also grass between most spaces, which is kind of rare in this part of the country. You're parking on sand & rock, but it's hard pack desert floor and even when it rains, it drains fast and isn't much of a problem. Far enough off of the highway to miss all of the noise that some of the other RV parks have. Bathrooms and laundry were very clean and they also have a book exchange. Very quiet and comfortable park while visiting all of the sights around Moab. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park was was nothing special but was ok for the 4 nights we spent here we used our PA card and paid $18 for a 50 amp site. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here for 5 days. The lady who runs the park was very nice. The park is misleading when you first drive up to the entrance. But inside the park is very nice. We had such a view of the La Sal Mountains that we didn't even notice the drilling trucks in the next lot from us. We spent most of our time at the Canyonlands & Arches. We used our passport america discount. At the stables we didn't see one horse the whole time we came in and out of the park. The park is out of the downtown busyness. Golf course near by. It is consider in the Industrial park of town, but there are restaurants and gas stations close by. It's between the Aches and Canyonland entrances. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice and clean park. Every space has lawn, a tree and a picnic table. The managers are eager to please. We are Passport America members so got 50% off their regular rates. We will return to this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
If you only need to park the RV and tour the area, you won't go wrong. Does have wifi and cable. The park is quiet but no atmosphere. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed here last summer with a Happy Camper discount rate. This year we no longer had that membership so paid the regular rate less Good Sam Discount. The owner/manager is very nice. The sites are tight for our 40 ft. motor home. We are near the Arena where a rodeo is to take place the next three days so there is some livestock corralled but flies aren't a problem for us. We might try another RV park in town because some look more inviting and their rates are about the same as here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had to move to a non-sewer site over the Memorial holiday weekend but that was OK. Nice place, beautiful area but illness took some of the fun away. We have been here before and would gladly come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is a good value since it accepts Passport America with no restrictions. The other park in the area that accepts Passport America will not accept it on the weekends, and quite frankly, didn’t look too much better than this park for double the price. We stayed here for one week. As others have mentioned, the site and parking are very tight. The owner tries to accommodate everyone and as a result, often puts RVs in spots that are way too small making maneuvering around the parking lot difficult. However, despite being sandwiched together, the park was very quiet. No noise from other travelers or from the highway. There are a couple of long-term residents but that is not an issue for me. There are two washers and two dryers onsite but if you don’t like them, you can head downtown to the laundromat. Dust and windstorms seem to be a problem in this area and you should expect your rig will get dusty and dirty since the park is gravel and dirt and is next to a stable. We did not experience any odors from the stable next door since it is still cool outside. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park only has about 3 things going for it. 1) The staff is friendly, 2) Water pressure was phenomenal, 3)With the Camp Club USA membership the fee was truly half price, $14.50/night. From there it is all down hill. The biggest problem is that the sites are much too small for most rigs over 30'. We saw rigs with their rear ends extending into the aisles behind them to the extent that it made the aisle useless for anything to get through but an ATV. Most rigs had to back out of their spots, down the aisle and around a corner to get out. A harrowing maneuver if you are driving a long rig or worse a 5er or trailer! There is just no excuse for this. The laundry consisted of 2 washers and 2 dryers, no where near enough for a park this big. If the winds are blowing this park is out in the open with no real protection from blowing dust, provided by the adjacent horse arena and stables. We had to rush to close the windows as we were enveloped by a dust storm on one evening and spent hours cleaning up our motorhome afterwards. Forget using an awning the winds make it prohibitive. If the wind isn't blowing then the flys are horrible. I don't know their origin but we spent too much time trying to rid our rig of the flys and left us praying for more wind or rain! There are "permanent" RVs in the park, a condition I really don't like but most of the residents kept their "yards" organized and clean. One such resident was too eager to remove our laundry from the washer even though we were only about 2 minutes behind it's shutoff time. I really don't like people handling our laundry, thank you very much!!! Unlike an earlier reviewer we found the wireless internet to work well even in the outer row however with low signal strength. If it isn't working well it is either because of too many users at any given time or the equipment of the individual, a condition we had ourselves in other parks until we upgraded to better equipment. We chose this park only because of the 1/2 price for the Campclub USA membership but the small sites, wind and flys will keep us from coming back. We will be more than happy to pay full price for a more comfortable site in town on our next visit to Moab. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a Passport America park and is a good value for the price. Off the highway & quiet, you have to drive on dirt roads through a stable area to get to the RV area. All dirt road/sites, fairly level with a grass island. Good 50A power was a plus since it was 102 degrees. Sites are a tad short for a 40' and tow but the egress is all in the same direction so it doesn't pose much of a problem. Some permanent campers but is was quiet and the lady in the office was very friendly and helpful. A good, inexpensive place to spend the night or base your visit to the Moab area. Nothing to do for kids - too hot outside, anyway. We'd stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park off the highway a little south of town. Close to national parks. Friendly staff. Would stay at park again. No Pool and it was hot, 101. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
This campground is convenient to Moab and Arches National Park and inexpensive. It has the necessities but was nothing special. The sites are short as mentioned. The WiFi worked at our site but I saw several people carrying their laptops up to the office to use. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great place to stop and see Moab! Beautiful view of terrain and mountains. Mostly pull through spaces with pretty good room although not real long. We did get our 40 foot 5er and dually long bed truck in. Friendly on-site owners. Horses nearby, so occasional horse smells, but not bad. No pool, but nice quiet park far away from highway noise. We'll be back! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very courteous and knowledgeable staff, level but unpaved site. Wifi worked well at our location which was a pull-through. Some horses nearby, as expected from park name, although no problem or smell noted. Nice view of Moab terrain and reasonably close to town on back street that parallels main route through area. Will definitely stay there again when we can as we believe it to be an excellent value with Passport America discount. Recommend reservations as can be full during off-road season! We camped here in a Motorhome.
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We orginally wanted a 7 night reservation, but the could only give us 5 nights due to a big event. After a couple nights they had a cancelation and gave us 3 more nights. This was great as we were using Passport America discount and it was good for all 8 nights during the high season and during a huge event in Moab. The full price ($29) was a bit high for what you get, but since the city was sold out I'm not complaining at all. Not every big rig will fit every site. We had to park our 34' 5th wheel at an angle to fit into our space. The bathrooms are small so take your shower in your RV. The WiFi worked well from our space. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Okay as an overnight stop. I think if we had horses this would be a great place to stop. All we wanted was electric and a safe place to stop overnight. Did go into town to the Moab Brewery, great fish and chips and $2 pints. Pretty nice beer too. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We thought this was quite a bargain using Passport America. It was $13.08/night with tax. The shower/restroom was dated but clean. The laundry was also clean. Our site, 22, was an end site about 30' wide and 35' long. It has trees and grass on both sides and a picnic table. I noticed some sites did not have a table. We hit level spots so no boards were required. The 8 big rig sites are just limestone with hook ups. Not as nice as the main area. We were originally suppose to go into site 20. But the nice lady at the desk said we couldn't get WiFi from there. When I said I liked WiFi at the rig, she changed our site. The place wasn't full so that was no problem. But keep in mind WiFi can't be gotten at all sites. Some sites are also much shorter than ours. The views to the southwest, out our back window, were of the red cliffs. To the east we could see the snow covered La Sal mountains. Great views. There were trees scattered around the property. We initially signed up for 5 days but ended up adding 2 more. We like this place and would certainly stay there again. This is an RV park, not a resort. But we certainly liked it. We would definitely stay here again. I suggest reservations during high season. The lady said they were turning people away up until early October. There is a restaurant and fuel within a mile on Rt 191. I didn't see any signs that one could rent a horse. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a no frills campground with dirt roads and dirt sites. There is very little grass and no good place to walk a dog. The pull-through sites at the front are next to the stables so there is some odor at times. There are no trees at these sites, but there is plenty of room for big rigs and toads. Because of the Passport America price we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed our stay here while touring the Moab area. The Passport America/weekly rate of $14 (including taxes) per night makes this an outstanding value. It is a "no frills" campground, but that is exactly what we look for--we tour during the day and just want a campground that is clean, secure and has good hookups. The owner was also very helpful and friendly. Would not hesitate to stay here again--just don't look for swimming pools, recreation areas, etc. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We arrived quite late, and office was still open awaiting late arriving reservations! Despite the fact she had no space available the first night, she went out of her way to accommodate us, placing us in a "dry camp" area, but allowed us to hook into 50 amp service at an adjoining site (still only charged us $6 "dry camp" fee the first night. ) Rules are pretty "laid-back", but we found it to be quiet despite most of the residents were "off-road" enthusiasts. Primarily a Passport America campground, dirt roads and sites, but we had plenty of room for slides and toad. Beautiful views of mountains (snow capped and rock), and well off road with large horse arena next door. We will stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
WOW! What the h*** happened? We have stayed here for the past 5 years and have always enjoyed it until last month. The south side opened a few years ago and is an owners section that you can stay in if your rig is a 5th wheel or a class A and ten years or newer. We have stayed in the new (south) side a few times and really enjoyed it. This past month we were traveling with family/friends and decided to stay a couple days in Moab on the way home from Colorado. We stayed in the north (older) section due to some of the members of our party were in a travel trailer and were not allowed in the south section. The campground had no one on site for most of the daytime and absolutely nobody past 4:00 in the afternoons. We checked in at 2:00 and had to do the self check-in because office was closed. The grounds had been completely let go on the north side. It appears as if you don't have a half-million dollar coach and buy a lot they don't want to accommodate you. We did stay here in a half million dollar coach but will not be returning. We go to Moab a half dozen times a year and will be looking for a different campground to accommodate our party in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed in the very clean and well kept South Side of the park. Almost everything looks new and first-rate. The pool and showers are resort-like. The landscaping is beautiful. The sites are HUGE and level. There seem to be no camp hosts: didn't see anyone from the resort after checking in. Park did not feel very secure as there was little staff presence. There is no store or laundry. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is divided into two sections. The south section is new. It has pull in, pull through and back-in sites. Every site has a double wide concrete pad and a concrete patio. There are flowers and trees on each site. Each site is 70 plus feet long and 40 plus wide. You overlook mountains. The south section also has a new pool and hot tub. It also has 70 plus cable channels. The Mosaic bathroom and showers are very clean. They have a large grass area to walk your dog. Our Verizon wireless internet and cell phones worked great. We visited Arches NP, Canyonlands NP, Dead Horse Point, and Rte.128 Scenic Byway during our stay. We also did a 4x4 tour of the Needles and whitewater rafting on the Colorado River during our 3 week stay. We definitely recommend this campground even though it is pricey in comparison to other campgrounds. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a great park. There are 3 different levels of sites for RV's. We stayed in the owners pull thru section which had concrete pads w/ landscaping and extra parking for tow vehicles. The pool and showers were great! Internet was tricky and not always available. Cell service was fine. The staff was very nice and helpful. The front desk sundries were very limited. Rented a jeep from Cliffhanger. Would not suggest them. Use Canyonlands rentals. Eat at Zax and Buck's....great food! Make sure you visit both North and South Canyonlands. They are the best of all I have been to! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Don't stay here if you are camping in a travel trailer. You will feel like a second class citizen. The park is divided into two sections. The South side is an "ownership" section and only allows 5th wheels and Class A motor homes to rent the space from the owners. The South side is quite lovely: large paved sites, a nice pool, a fountain, and brand new bathroom facilities. But don't expect to take advantage of any of that if you are staying on the North side (which is your only option if you are in a travel trailer). They actually give you a map and cross off the South side and write "restricted area" in red ink. How can you be staying in an RV park and not have full access to all of the facilities? The Wi-Fi was down for a day and a half. When I finally went to the office to inquire about the connection, the unhappy staffer explained that she wasn't told what to do if the Wi-Fi went down, and I was simply out of luck. The campground is actually clean, level and in nice proximity to town and the National Parks.... but this whole segregation thing just leaves you with a bad feeling. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice park when visiting the national parks in the Moab area. Stayed in the newer North section and was well worth the $10 additional fee. The sites are very wide concrete pads with lots of landscaping around site. Will stay here again when visiting Moab. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
NOTE: This park has two sides and we stayed on the South side, which, (in our opinion) is 100% better than the north side (and $10 per night more). However, if you stay on the South side you can then use the pool and spa. The restrooms and showers are probably the best we have seen on any site we have stayed on. Absolutely immaculate. Large concrete sites: some are back-in, some are drive-in and some are pull through. Park is 2 miles from Arches N.P. and 2 miles from downtown Moab. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a one-nighter for us: we did Arches in the morning/afternoon and needed a reservation for night. Their office is open from 8am to 5pm so you must call during those hours to make a reservation. People were very helpful. We got here from Arches about 6pm and our check-in information was on the bulletin board: everything was exactly as described over the phone. We had a level gravel pad, good electric (didn't use the other hookups), and a strong WiFi signal. Sites were "snug" but quite reasonable (this is not a state park afterall). We got a good nights sleep and left very early the next morning (5am). They emailed us the charge receipt which was just as expected. In comparision to several other RV parks in Moab, I would certainly stay here again. To be honest, most of the other ones we drove past did not appeal at all to us. Portal RV was quite nice and far enough from the highway that it was quiet. There is a fancy section here too (concrete pads, more amenities, etc.) that was quite nice, but the gravel pad worked just fine for us. The other one that looked nice was Riverside Oasis Campground but that was pretty close to the highway. Arches was amazing. It was super hot and we drank lots of water; but the hiking was great (Landscape Arch is a must!). Film at Visitor Center worthwhile. You can see most everything from your car (we parked the MH in the Visitor Center lot and drove the toad through the park: which in retrospect was really a smart thing to do). We camped here in a Motorhome.
The spaces are narrow and gravel but we stayed in a premium site and it was great: on a concrete pad with plenty of space and even a "carport". A pool and spa is available only to the premium sites and it is clean and very nice. WiFi had a strong signal but was very slow. It's in a good location to both Arches Natl Park and town. There is a $10/night surcharge for a pull through although there is ample room to back in. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is the best place to stay in Moab. First, it is set back off the main highway, so it is nice and quiet. Half of the campground has been developed into a Class A motorhome park with lovely well maintained landscaping and very wide cement slab spaces. The lesser expensive spaces on this site are not yet landscaped but the slab is so large it doesn't matter, plenty of room for chairs and picnic table. There is a pool and fabulous bath house. The other side of the park is a more traditional campground, roads are paved but sites are gravel with "desert grass" in between. Very nice tent sites with shelters, large group sites. Very clean rest rooms and showers and nice laundry room. There is even a spring fed pond to swim in, kind of like the old swimming hole! The kids loved it. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And there are two very large dog parks and a nice walking trail. Beautiful views of the red rock and LaSal Mtns and 5 minutes from town or Arches NP. We look forward to our return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Just arrived after hours of driving to find that some of the amenities listed on the web site are for owners and their guests only. The park was booked base on a few things, including the pool. But we are not allowed to use it. There is a VERY small asterisk and below it says for owners and their guests only. Because we were not able to get a premium spot, we are outlawed. When we went to the office, we were told "live with it". If it was not for the fact the holiday weekend is approaching, we would have left on the spot. What customer service. We will not recommend this park to any follow travelers or on our web site. It is apparent the owners of this park would like to create two separate parks, one of the site owners and one for everyone else because unless you are an owner you cannot use anything on the south side of the park including the dog area and restrooms. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed in the newer section (south side) of this park. They are trying to sell lots in this section. It is very nice with concrete pads, nice landscaping, and wide lots. You need a water pressure regulator because pressure is 110 lbs. I would not stay in the older section of this park. It is more for tent camping and people on a budget. Families mostly I would guess. From what I have heard from others, this is the best spot in Moab. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of the nicer campgrounds in Moab. Nice little dog park; though reserved for owners of lots we used it. Far enough off the highway. Able to be next to friends though sites were assigned (weekend). Very nice desk clerk. Close to all the attractions, yet solitude on the north side of Moab. They even rent ATV's and Jeep's. Would definitely return! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We are currently here and it is very nice. We got in the south side premium for $40 with AARP discount. Nice concrete double slab with so much room. It is very clean everywhere and there is a beautiful pool, hot tub, and pond beside us. They have a nice dog run area too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place but they were full by 3pm. We did not have a reservation but got here about noon. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a tale of two parks, one of them inexpensive and in usable, but old condition. The other a new area where they are trying to sell ownership lots, that is paved with wide concrete pads and a pool. Unfortunately the wireless does not work. We stayed here 5 days and never did get it to work on either of our two computers. We stayed in the newer area and the hookups and site were great. This park has great access to the national parks on the north side of town. We might stay here again, but not if the wireless does not work. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Pulled into Moab on a Saturday afternoon in May to the Portal RV Resort. What a nice park! Perfect for big rigs, many of the sites are gravel, many are pull-throughs, but our favorite were the premium sites further from the road. These sites are 40X80, concrete pads, and most are pull throughs. The park is immaculate and there is room for just about any size rig, tows, any trailers and all your toys! Many people go off-roading in this area and Portal is located within a few miles of Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. The pool and spa are sparkling new and the bathrooms and showers are better than home! There is a very large fenced area for walking the pets. We stayed 3 nights, with the impressive wall of rocks in the background and the beautiful sun shining. Recommend this park to anyone traveling or as a destination, especially those with big rigs. We stayed in a premium spot, so it might have been a bit pricer than the gravel spots in the front, we paid $62 a night. The management was friendly and helpful, as were all the folks we met in town. Just a lovely place to visit! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This year was my 3rd season staying at the portal. The previous managers were very friendly and helpful people. The year one of the owners was very rude to us. I will not drive 2000 miles one way again to have him try to ruin my vacation. Also mosquitoes were very bad there compared to previous years, and the internet was nearly useless. We always stay in the owner's premium section. I can only imagine how he treats the people in the tent section. Dogs were allowed to run loose the 6 days we were there. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park has 2 different parts - the older section and the newer section where the lots can be purchased. We stayed in the newer side and paid more for it but it was worth it! The sites are HUGE! The are all paved concrete and ours went up to a little man made pond. They keep the park in great shape and the campers were mainly Jeepers and ATV owners. The bathroom in the new side was AMAZING!! Nice little pool and hot tub. Try to get a pull in site in the middle row of the new section. They seem a little bigger than the rows on either side and the views are spectacular. We loved it and would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Just outside of Moab on the north side of town. Check in was efficient. Sites are gravel, level and most have a small patch of grass. Has room for big rigs and slides. There is not much for shade. Washrooms and laundry are clean. Has full hook-ups, WiFi, cable TV and is quiet. Would camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very nice park, and we enjoyed our stay. BUT: I was looking forward to a 'Luxury' South Side space, but was told it was off limits for a pull trailer. I guess I understand, the sites are for sale, and they want to keep the riff-raff out, but I was a bit put-off. It won't cost them any rating deduction, it is still a nice place. I'll just spend my money elsewhere, next time. WiFi was good, cell service was good, cable TV was very good. Had beautiful views and was very quiet. Was dog friendly with a nice dog run. There was easy highway access, good signage, a good entrance road, and great folks in the office for check in. The sites for the North Side are pretty close together. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We loved this park! We stayed one month at a rate of $550. The staff is very friendly, the grounds offer natural beauty and great places to walk your dog. They even have recycling available, something I wish more RV parks offered. The park even has bio degradable doggie poop pick up bags. The owners of this park must really care a lot and it shows. We will definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We were in the premium area of this park. Has very large paved sites. The regular area has gravel. Okay, but premium is worth the upgrade. Great fenced grass area as a dog run. Pool and hot tub very nice. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating. This is the best park we have been in, in the Moab area. Will definitely come again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
First time to stay here. We were in the new section where they are selling the lots. Huge concrete pads with plenty of parking. Some of the sites have sold and are well landscaped. Ours was still for sale and was scheduled for landscaping after we left. Owner is a nice guy with big plans for this campground. New pool and hot tub were nice. Best of all for us they had a LARGE grass dog yard where we could play with the dogs. Easy in and easy out for big rigs and toads. All sites in the new area are head in and back out but roads are wide so no problems. Will stay here again. No road noise. Internet was reliable but a bit slow. There were warnings about not trying to upload/download big files due to limited bandwidth. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Our site was paved, and level with plenty of room and a fountain in front of us. We had some problems using the Wi-Fi, everything else worked fine. No traffic noise at night. Nice dog run area with some walking trails as well. Pool and hot tub area was nice as well. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Portal is clean in appearance, has adequate site space, good Wi-Fi and is located about a mile from town surrounded by canyon walls of the Moab Valley. The price stated is with AARP discount. It is divided between rental site and sites for sale. Laundry prices were high. We were very happy with this campground and would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This campground was a wonderful experience. The premium sites were large and had great views. The restroom/shower facility was superb and the pool, whirlpool and deck was very clean. The owner was an excellent host and the staff person was a wonderful and helpful person. I high recommend this campground for large RV's. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Though you can purchase a site the General Public sites are gravel with weeds for grass puncture vines (Goat Heads) all over the place, no shade, no night time lighting. Showers are old and have signs for both men and women no privacy. They are designed for small people. Was close to Arches National Park but I would not Recommend or stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Park is on the edge of town, and positioned far enough from the highway to reduce noise levels. There is a permanent/owned site section to the park that has concrete pads and separate service locations, but the transient sites are also long and level, though gravel. Tents and group camps are permitted here, and were being used to stage rafting trips, but are somewhat separate from the RV sites and noise level was not objectionable. WiFi is free, though passworded. Signal strength and actual bandwidth were very good. The only oddity was very short office hours - closed at 5PM. There is a site labelled as campground host, who we never saw. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed in this park for 3 nights while we were in the Moab area. The park overall is a nice park. It has paved lot sites available for sale and these are exclusively for those who have bought them which creates an elitist atmosphere. Short termers are not allowed to use their facilities. There are few trees that are mature which makes for hot days and little shade. The staff are cordial, but overall, the park is somewhat overrated, but clean. We would probably stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great big rig park just outside of Moab. No shade but nice views, clean sites and bathrooms. One reviewer mentioned the lack of landscaping. That's no big deal as the views up are far better then the views down. Nice pool and showers. Will definitely stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The concrete pad in the "Premium" section was spacious but that is as far as it went. Other than the landscaping around Koi Pond, there was nothing but weeds and dirt. The only landscaped site was one of the resort's owners. Things are in disrepair. In the tent area one pavilion is laying on the ground. The fence near the dumpster was falling over. The barnyard odors were not pleasant. The view from the back row of "Premium" sites is a gravel vehicle storage lot. It may be the best place to camp in Moab but it has a long way to go to be a luxury resort. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park thinks highly of itself. It states "beautiful landscaping." With the exception of one small area, there IS no landscaping.....nothing but dirt and weeds. We stayed in the Premium Section. The rest of the park, which you see when you enter looks like Tobacco Road. There isn't much of a choice in Moab (which is surprising), but to call this a "Luxury Resort" is an overstatement. All in all, we were very disappointed. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an older park with the great new addition of 36 premium sites, pool, hot tub, and bath facilities. All comments relate to the new premium sites where we stayed. Large concrete paved pads with conveniently located utilities. Located a short distance off the main highway so traffic noise is not a problem like in other Moab parks. Bathrooms were immaculate and laundry facilities sufficient. Only complaint to offer is related to Wi-Fi signal which was not reliable during our stay. Owners had technicians on site to repair Wi-Fi and it was better during the final few days of our stay. We like this park, can recommend it and will definitely stay here again. Best park in the Moab area and is very suitable for big rigs. Hope owners can get the Wi-Fi working properly. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The view is fabulous. It's close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough away to be quiet. It is within five miles of Arches National Park. When we first arrived, I was disappointed in our space because they had put us right by the bathroom and I had made my reservation in January. But when we questioned it, they moved us right away to the spot of our choice. Then we really drove them crazy by deciding we'd really rather have another spot, and they let us move again. The staff was very friendly, the bathrooms were very clean and plenty of hot water. The sites were a little close together, but no worse than most commercial parks. I would stay there again for sure. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The owners and staff are very very friendly folks. They are making big improvements to the park but have a long way to go. None of the parks in Moab are beautiful or outstanding but maybe with the improvements to this one someday they may achieve that. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice park in the process of becoming an owner type park (which won't happen soon). Nice wide, concrete apron type site with dirt alongside (will be developed someday) but no shade. Easy access and exit, nice pool and fenced dog run in the southwest corner. When in the area we will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The pull throughs were long and wide. Nice grass, but there were not enough trees. The park was set back from the hiway so there was minimal noise. We felt it was a great base from which to see the area. We felt very at home because we tow a Jeep Wrangler. Moab is serious Jeep country...for good reason. The speed limit is strictly enforced at 5MPH which we didn't mind. There a horse pasture next door and it was nice that the very friendly horses came to visit. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park near the Arches National Park. Free Wi-Fi and cable. Long sites mostly pull-thrus. We would stay here again if in the area. They are not a Good Sam park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a pretty good park where we may stay again. We had a pull-thru on the back row which bordered a horse pasture. It was fun to watch the horses grazing, some of which were quite tame. The park was tidy and clean, with some fancy seasonal sites at the far end. The side-by-side pull-thrus are kind of close, but we've been in worse. There are two ponds, one of which is available for swimming. The check-in procedure was slow and inefficient (a long line of people waiting to check in while the office staff finished their lunch at 2:00 p.m.). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a campground, not a resort, despite what it's name indicates. It is in the process of an ambitious upgrade that will take some time and effort, but in the meantime, the primary portion of the camping area is OK. The sites are just wide and long enough to handle a 40' MH and TOAD and reasonably level. This being Moab, the views are incredible. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. The area we parked could use some TLC but that may be going by the wayside as the "high dollar" section is being built. If it were me in charge, I'd try to make sure the entry area - where most of the campers are - on the way to the lots that are for sale was upgraded and kept neat and clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good park. Gravel pad (level), easy pull thru (37 foot fifth wheel), plenty of grass for dogs. Centrally located to area attractions; far enough off the highway so you don't hear the traffic. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is in the process of converting to an ownership park. The new section, in the back, is currently ownership sites, but are available for nightly rentals. They are wide, with concrete pads. They are working on the landscaping, but currently, it is mostly dirt in this section. The pool is being built, but not done yet. There is a swimming pond. The older section, in front, has smaller sites but still worked OK with a 40 ft. motorhome with four slides. There are very pretty flowering trees in this section, but not really big enough to provide shade. It is set back from the road more than most of the neighboring RV parks, so it is nice and quiet. It is very convenient to both Moab and Arches NP. It is very clean and well-maintained; I would definably stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Really nice park. Camped in the new section, which had no trees, etc. and was on gravel. But really wide sites, with great views of surrounding mountains. Friendly office staff, helped us plan our activities. Started out for one night, ending up spending five nights. Will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Camped in 45 foot motorhome. The interior roads and sites are gravel with grass on some sites. Small trees allowed satellite TV access, but little shade. Park located north of Moab with convenient access of US191. Park was nearby to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and Dead Horse State Park. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We were able to relocate to a shady spot after the first day, there are not many shade areas that work for both morning and afternoon sun. The staff was very nice and the swimming pond was refreshing. There were not a lot of spaces taken on the weekend that we stayed here. This looks like it will be very nice when the work is completed. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed our stay and the view at this park...the management was most helpful and pleasant.Water pressure is very high so bring a regulator. Very quiet and clean we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is in the process of being converted to a "sites for sale resort". The construction taking place is quite noisy during the day as well as the dust. There is nothing for kids to do here. There is a swim hole but it is quite dirty. The owners and staff are quite friendly and always willing to assist you. Be warned, there is a strict 5 mph speed limit in the park and if you violate it, be prepared to be kicked out of the park. I watched this happen twice during my stay at the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park - grass between sites which is unusual in Moab. Roads were paved which kept dust down. Sites were spacious but did slope a bit. No pool but you can swim in a pond. Handy to town and attractions. WiFi was good and cable exceptional in selection. Speed limit is only 5 mph which is a little low! Hope that manager doesn't catch me. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
My family came here for a nice holiday getaway.Sites were adequate, and camp was close to town. We were driving into the camp our second day and I was talking to my wife and went slightly over the speed limit. To my suprise the manager came to my truck and began yelling at me in front of my kids and wife as if I were a small child. He threatened to kick me out of the park. I have never met a more immature man. I would have gladly slowed down, and I will never return to this park with this type of management. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice park, well maintained & clean. Staff is very friendly. We were in site #36 which is on an end & has more space than some other sites. Each site has some grass, except for a new area on the end of the park which is gravel. Those sites are 40ft x 80ft and are currently being sold as permanent, owned sites. Nice view from the park. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is our first time traveling in an RV. One of the nicer RV parks we stayed in. The parking is still too close but I guess that's just the way it is in RV parks. The view of the portal is beautiful. They also have a large grassy area that is used for dry camping. Even though the RV park was full every night the grassy area usually only had a couple of RVs in it. We also used this area to give our dog a little exercise. Next time we visit Moab we will stay here again. The park is situated far enough off the highway that you get little or no highway noise. A big plus for us. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The sites are pull through and level. Wifi was slow, but we were a long ways from the office and we were just glad it worked. The staff is friendly and helpful although when we were there staff was only in office 2 hours in the am and 3 hours in the pm. The views are beautiful and the location is only one mile from Moab and very close to the Arches National Park. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great location in Moab. Clean park. Good roads. Clean restrooms and showers. They have a great swimming pond that gets its water from the overflow of the local municipal water supply. Water is cool, swimming dock has ladder. It was a welcome relief from the 105 degree plus temperature. A couple odd things. Flies. Lots of house flies and the strong smell of manure from the field next door. Maybe all of Moab has them, but we had a lot of flies at the picnic table and in our camper. No mosquitos, but lots of flies. Office hours were limited due to a "shortage of workers" as a note explained on the office door. It looked like other campgrounds in the area had more trees but also were way more packed in. Without the flies and with more shade, this place would be a 10. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Paved interior roads, gravel sites. Sites are level but close together. I agree with the previous reviewer about visitors with jeeps. Friendly staff, nice laundry, cleam showers, strong Wi-Fi signal throughout the park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Sites are close together and very few trees The sites are mostly gravel mixed with weeds. Moab gets a lot of visitors with jeeps, which is fine but when they're allowed to turn there RV site into a repair garage it gives the park a very trashy look and the smell of gasoline is unpleasant. I saw numerous oil spills which the owners attempted to soak up with kitty litter, what a mess! The front office folks are very nice, laundry room very clean and Wi-Fi service excellent, but overall this park needs some maintenance and needs to set some rules regarding automotive repairs at the sites. We'll stay at one of the other nicer parks in the area next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Not really much to do IN the park, however, you come to Moab for Moab. The scenery was spectacular! Lots of close national parks & attractions. Definitely a MUST DO! We camped here in a Motorhome.
We came through Moab heading north from Florida and needed a place to stay to visit Arches NP, so we picked this Good Sam park from Trailer Life. It was a Jeep/Off-Road weekend - lots of people in Moab. No sites available with electric or water so we took a spot in a field for only $20 and reserved for the next day a full-hookup site for $32. When asked about the discrepancy between Trailer Life prices and what they charged, they said it was an "event" weekend. I asked them why they didn't spell this out in Trailer Life - no answer. I hate it when people gouge you like this. We will be sure to never stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Level gravel sites between nice patches of grass. (Another review said grassy areas were
unkempt, but we saw no evidence of anything but a beautifully maintained RV park.) Beautiful panoramic views from entire park. Far enough off Highway 191 that there is virtually no road noise. People in the office could not be more helpful or pleasant to deal with. Close to Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, a mile or so outside of Moab proper. Great little park. Will definitely come back if we're in this area again. (We drove by several other RV parks in and around Moab, and none looked even close to as nice as this one.) We camped here in a Motorhome.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi transmission not fully operational to every site yet, at the office and near the office a good signal can be received. The scenery is beautiful and Arches and Canyonlands National Parks are just a couple of minutes up the road. Fantastic area and campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice enough "base camp" for touring around Moab Area. Spots are large enough for "Big Rigs" without danger of hitting tree limbs. Dirt pads that are uneven and unkempt grass areas. Nice table and BBQ. Paved roads. Managers were very helpful and personable. Took a lot of their time to explain areas to see around Moab. OK, overall, and I'd stay again if in area with my 42 footer. Nice park in a very pretty setting. We were told that the pond on the property was no good
for fishing. Apparently the fish were determined to have a disease or something. You can still swim in it, but we passed. Very close to Arches entrance. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are many rv parks in this area but this one is the only one with grass at each site. The rest have dirt. This one also has beautiful views from every angle. Also near the Colorado River - we saw deer roaming while at our site. There are a few cabins also. All sites had gravel pads and level. Very near Arches and the Canyonlands. Would highly recommend this campground when in the area. Very nice owners. We camped here in a camper.

This was the second time we stayed at Portal. It's only minutes to Arches and Canyonlands Nat'l Parks. It is a wonderful family park with friendly people. Our niece became friends with the owners' daughters and had a great time. The view of the Portal and other rock formations surrounding the area is magnificent. Not much shade because it's a relatively new park. All sites are pull thrus, level with plenty of grass. Expect some 100+ degree days in summer though. Moab is a neat little town. Portal is about 1-2 miles from downtown. We camped here in a camper.
Beautiful park with some solid trees for shade during the hot days. Nice grass throughout the park . Excellent staff, convenient to Arches NP. We had a great time here, was perfect for us when visiting the area. Have never stayed at the other CGs in the area but they would be hard pressed to be any better than this one. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We agree with previous comments that this is probably the best choice in the area. I think the KOA is second (we made a brief visit to the KOA to get LP). Arches NP is literally across the street from the CG, but the entrance is a couple miles up the road. Great location also for Canyonlands NP and Deadhorse State park. We'd recommend that you avoid the sites backing to the berm. There is an excellent Chinese buffet in town: the only Asian restaurant so hard to miss. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here for two nights while visiting Arches National Park. This appeared to be the nicest, appearance-wise, campground in the area. Each site had grass and shade, along with a friendly staff and a clean campground. The campground was centrally located, about two miles from Arches and about two miles from Moab. The showers were clean and modern, as was the laundry room. The tent sites seemed especially well laid out with a grill, shade, and a large wash area for cooking utensils. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The rate reflects weekly rate with tax inc. We were here nearly 3 weeks and internet only worked well early in the mornings. Sites rather close and care has to be taken to park for slides and awnings to work. Laundry was small for the amount of sites in the park. Our 7th trip to Moab but first to this park. We will consider other parks the next visit. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice campground all sites had grass and shade, caught some fish. Great location and access to the mountains. Owners were supper friendly and helpful. While we were there owners served breakfast on the weekends. We would stay here again for sure. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was a very nice campground. The grass in between the sites was a nice addition. Our family enjoys evening dinner outside, and our only complaint was the cottonwood trees which virtually made this impossible. At times it seemed it was snowing from all of the cottonwoods. Other than that it was a very nice park. The kids would have liked a pool, but there wasn't one. Very close to Arches National Park which we really enjoyed. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed 3 nights and the electricity went out two of the three. The sites are kind of close, but very good shade. The middle RV row is a little short. If you have a bigger unit be sure to request a larger site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here about 5 days. Has nice shaded sites, but the space between is small and the width of the grass areas varies. Site 33 is nice. There is a dirt berm behind the campground that you can walk your pets on. The staff was very friendly. They pick up your garbage for you. We had none of the bad experiences that some have reported. The last day here the tent sites filled up with a bunch of people, but over all this was a very nice place to stay. Located about 2.8 miles from downtown. You can bike to town. It is close to the highway but its not bad at all. I would stay here again just due to the cleanliness and shade. The other places in town did not have the shade. The only downside is they charge a one time fee of $5 for each pet. We camped here in a Motorhome.
First, the pros: Nice grounds, beautiful lawns, lots of shade trees, and friendly staff, even if they have more rules than campsites. They have full hook-ups, cable and wi-fi. They are closest to the Arches and Canyonlands entrance stations. The cons: Right on the highway (noisy), short 40 foot pull-through sites (you’ll hang over), crowded sites (about eight feet from your neighbor). There is only one toilet in the men’s bathroom for the entire camp, and they can have big crowds of tent campers. When that happens, the garbage cans overflow. Sometimes they close the bathrooms/showers before 10 pm. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
From what we could see, this park is the class act of the Moab RV Park collection. Noteworthy to us (and our dog) there is a good sized strip of grass next to each site, providing a pleasant area to plant our chairs on for some relaxing in the afternoon. The park provides an escort to your site to help you get situated easily. Rest rooms and showers are exemplary. The location is perfect for visiting the nearby National Parks and the town of Moab, and a Colorado River tour boat operator is right next door. The construction of a new bridge across the river has made access to the park a little less easy than it might otherwise be, and the marking for the exit needs improvement. All in all, a very good experience at a reasonable price. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was top notch place to stay. The cabins were clean, neat, comfortable and fairly priced. I was impressed with the tent camping area, as many places (like Arch View) have tent sites on bare rocky ground. This tent area was a beautiful, well maintained grassy area. We are planning on going back and will definitely be staying at Oasis! We camped here in a Campground Cabin.
This is a nice campground in a great location in Moab close to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Facilities are well maintained and the campground has grass and shade trees on almost every site. Wi-Fi worked well in the back row and the cable TV was clear with 75 channels. There is grass between sites and adequate space between slides and neighbors. The south end of the park backs up to the Colorado river but is not visible from the RV sites because of a dirt berm, but you can walk to the river. There are a few detractors that should be noted. The roads are narrow as are the sites, no separate parking for tow vehicles which makes the roads even narrower. The narrow sites along with trees and utilities can make placement of an RV with slides a challenge. Signage for the park is poor and if you miss the entrance heading south you are stuck going into town to find a place to turnaround. The RV park seems to be an afterthought on the large sign promoting river trips so be looking for it just prior to the bridge and all the new road construction. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Our stay was in mid August of 2009 for three nights. We had a 31 foot class C and a full size SUV. I rate this park a 9. The RV area was typically a bit tight for full hookup park, but not as much as some. There were not as many people around during our stay. There were many trees and grass at the pull-through sites. I recommend paying just a couple dollars more and getting one of their premium sites. It was just big enough for our RV and full size SUV with no overhang, about 50 feet total. For six people with tax for three nights it was $155. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. The bathroom seemed clean and had air conditioning. We used the laundry room, and that went fine. There is a free garbage pick-up before 9 AM outside your RV. We had cable TV with limited channels. The wireless internet worked fine. The park itself is not right on the highway, but a little ways away. It was quiet enough. Please remember I rate this place a 9. I will make some additional comments however. We came in at about 10 PM in the pitch dark. I almost missed the place but I saw a lighted billboard at the last minute. It looks like you are pulling into a construction zone or gravel yard. However the campground proper is quite nice for a typical RV park with full hookup. If you have kids, especially older ones, there is nothing to do. The RV park is north of town, so they can't go take a walk and go shopping. There is no pool, which I think is quite big now that we spent 3 days in hot Moab. However, temperatures were 10 degrees below normal for us. There is no game room and the camp store is extremely small. It mostly has soda and ice cream. The Colorado River was adjacent to the park, but there was no safe place to throw tubes in unless you have a rope to keep from drifting. The tributary stream was just mud. If I had very young kids or mostly grown ups I would stay here again. It is a quiet place for your wife to get some sleep. If I had older kids I might brave one of the noisier parks to the south that have a pool, activities, and town nearby. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a relatively nice park with level sites and lots of shade trees, adjacent to the Colorado River (but protected behind a high berm). Aside from the trees, the landscaping is minimal with gravel/dirt sites (which could certainly use more gravel to reduce the dust level – a common problem in the area). Trash cans are only located next to the office and don’t appear in convenient locations around the park. Our site (#28) was a very short pull-through (however, the office kindly allowed us to park our tow vehicle in the adjacent site). The campground is only a mile from the entrance to Arches National Park. The two parks we have stayed in Moab are not very attractive (ie, are not “destination parks”), in spite of their proximity to Arches. Staff is helpful and friendly, and we would return as other options are even less appealing. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
It is a nice, new park right next to the Colorado River. However, you can't see the river from the park. The site is nicely shaded by mature trees. The sites are nice and so are the restrooms and showers. You can't get any closer to Arches National Park which is less than a mile up the highway. The park owners are family members with the folks who run "Canyonlands by Night" dinner and river light show, which is right next door. We were sort of disappointed with the show which is a night river boat trip with music & narration but the lights are from a truck mounted spotlight that lights up the canyon walls. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate includes a one time $5 charge for having a 9 pound Maltese dog. This is a great place for adults (although kids are allowed). Drive and sites are all gravel and level. Lots of cottonwood trees provide shade for every site. There is an 8 foot berm between you and the Colorado river. You can walk next door for Colorado river cruises. Laundry has $2.50 wash and $1.00 dry. Bad: Cottonwood trees, mosquitoes. Good: Fast WiFi, good cable, cottonwood tree shade, walk on the banks of the Colorado River, no pool, no playground, no fire rings. Grass at every site. All sites level. Picnic table at every site. Very close to Arches National Park. Close to city of Moab for shopping. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is 1.5 miles from the Arches National Park. Good location, you can easily ride your bike to the Arches if you are energetic. However, this RV park is best suited for Campers, Travel Trailers, and smaller Class C's (in addition to tents). Although I saw a few larger Class A's here, it's a tight fit for them. The "back-ins" are best for campers. I have a 32 foot Class C with a carrier on the back for my scooter, and the "pull-through" I had was.... well..... let's just say, I PRAYED that no one would "clip" my front end or back end while they were driving in the driving area..... And I also prayed that I could exit my space without "clipping" the truck parked cross-wise in front of the travel trailer next to me! Road noise wasn't bad, but there was "construction noise" early in the morning from a crane that is working on a construction project nearby. There is about five feet width of grass between each space. Enough room for the picnic table that each site had. Cable was great, 70 channels (all analog). Wi-Fi worked OK, was a little slow at times. It was free, but it was from Tengo, and you had to work around the initial "sign up for a Tengo account" screen. A little misleading. There is a pay phone in case your cell phone doesn't work. The laundry room is open only between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Restrooms/showers were clean. On the outside of the main building is a stainless steel "deep sink" if you need. The rate I am showing is the Good Sam rate without taxes. There was a sign that said "Pets, $5 fee." I mentioned that I had a cat. I was told, "Cats don't count." Well, then the sign should say "Dog fee" not "Pet Fee." We camped here in a Motorhome.
In an area that is not known for RV "resort" parks, this is a good choice. It has a wonderful grassy tent area, at least 10 really cute cabins, and is surrounded by beautiful Moab red rock views. It is well-located to Arches National Park and town. While it is better suited for smaller rigs, there are pull-throughs that easily accommodate 40' motorhomes (ours fit fine). A nice touch: They have daily trash pick-up at your site. In the winter months your satellite will work. However, I would suspect when all the trees grow their leaves you will have to rely on the cable (that's provided). The Colorado Rivers runs adjacent to the park, but the view is blocked by a 6' berm that also serves as a walk-way that is the only area that you are "allowed" to walk your dog. The sites are gravel (level) with a grassy patio area and a table. If you want concrete pads the only place in the area is Portal down the street. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good Sam rate. Sights close together and the hook up for the dump was a stretch for the hose. Wi-Fi pretty good. We could not see the river at all but the sight was very close to Arches State Park. Probably would not go back due to the are of the campground and they could not find our original reservation. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I was also at the Western Class B rally/social. This was a nice park with lots of shade and real grass. The management was exceptionally friendly and helpful! Showers and bathrooms were clean, even though the park was full. Sites were gravel pads with trees and grass surrounding them. I will definitely go back to this park next time that I'm in the Moab area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We are here now for the Western States Class B Rally, an informal gathering of about 40 rigs. The campground is very accommodating and easy for all of us to get together but still have privacy when desired. The location a few miles north of town along the highway so there is some highway noise. A berm protects the walkway along the Colorado river for a nice stroll. Sites are a bit close together but good shade trees and a larger than average separate area for tents. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice campground. It has nice shade trees and the grounds are very well maintained. The sites are a little narrow and only a few are set up for rigs 40 feet and larger. We would stay here again. This is better than most of the other campgrounds in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We wanted to stay in Arches but it was full, so we were able to get in here right away. This is the campground just south of the Arches entrance. Nice shaded sites with the Colorado River along one side and beautiful cliffs all around. Clean bathrooms with hot water. I really appreciated the sinks located outside the washrooms for washing dishes, which also had hot water. When I walked outside at 10 p.m. to visit the washroom, it was pitch dark--so dark I needed a lantern--and very quiet. The only thing I didn't like was that they charge $5 extra for every child 8 and up. Next to Canyonlands At Night boat trip attraction. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed this place a lot. The facilities were clean. The other campers were friendly and fun. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The roads are narrow as are the sites and very few could accommodate a fifth wheel and the tow vehicle. We were on the back row by the berm and wifi didn’t work at that location for us at all. Because of the narrow roads, back-in sites can be difficult to negotiate. Satellite users be warned, there are lots of mature shade trees with little open sky. All the sites were narrow but each had a small strip of grass. The Laundromat was closed and locked at 8:00 PM and you had to have your last load in by 6:30 PM, we found this to be inconvenient. No swimming pool. The location of the park is very convenient to Arches National Park and Moab. We will be staying at a different park the next time we visit the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice park with easy acess for large rigs and mostly level sites. All sites are under nice trees with grass between each site. Wi-fi does not work very well but with some patience you can at least get your e-mails. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Friendly, clean, quiet, WIFI works great. Great views from the edge of the park. A little tight in spots, but overall a good place to stay. We will come and stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The name of the park says it all - Oasis in a desert. What a welcome relief to come back to the park after a day exploring the nearby desert attractions. Clean, well maintained park. Level gravel sites with freshly mowed grassy patio. Many trees - not good for roof top satellite reception but the park has excellent cable TV. Very fast wifi. We are here for a week and would return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was our 4th year at Moab, but our first time at this CG. The owners and hosts were very friendly and helpful. The CG was clean and well kept. A new and larger entrance road is almost open. They were very dog friendly. Our group consisted of 3 trailers and one motorhome. Some of the sites are tight for big or long rig. They have some very nice long pull throughs, but reservations well in advance are needed for those. The back in sites along the levee are wonderful. A lot of privacy. We will return there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Shade trees and green grass are a rare find in this area. Overall not very pleased with the campground in general though. No sign at the main entrance and had to pull in a second road. This required a U-turn and unhooking my toad In front of the store. Unsympathetic staff states, "yeah, everybody does that, next time pull in the other road". Bad first impression! Store was new looking and clean inside. The whole area is not much bigger than a football field. Tight would be an understatement. Dusty, gravel roads with pull throughs 25 feet and less apart. Yes, I measured it! NOT big rig friendly and had a hard time getting into one of the larger spaces. WIFI had poor to no signal throughout the camping sites. Unable to get mail after 24 hours of trying. Tent campers had nice grass areas, equally tight but shady. Camping area surrounded on three sides by 8-10 foot high gravel and rock levy and fourth side looks toward a junky, heavy equipment parking area and the highway beyond. A short walk outside the campground and along the Colorado river is beautiful with red rock bluffs surrounding the area. None of the many other campgrounds in the area where full so next time I'll stay elsewhere. To many nicer places available. Thanks. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nightly rate is estimated, we were there for 10 nights so had weekly rate for some of them. Gorgeous thick green grass between sites. Gravel sites and roadways, they say 5mph but dust is a problem. The back in and second row of pull throughs are quite short, we were ok in our 24' fifth wheel but larger rigs would be better off in the first row of pull throughs (32-40). The restrooms & showers were large and clean. Park offers site garbage pickup; you leave your tied garbage bag on the grass at the front of your site before 9am and they pick it up. WiFi worked poorly, they do have an ethernet connection at the office that worked great. The only negative things were where the entry is, very difficult to see before you need to turn off a busy highway; short sites mean people park their extra vehicles in the roadways so hard to get through. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A very well maintained, quiet place which is along a creek. The bathrooms are very clean. There is not much grass, so it is a bit dusty, but well worth the price (only $20 if not hooked to septic). It is about 3 miles to town. It is a great to base out of to tour Arches National Park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Yes, it is off the road, but in a neighborhood. It is usually crowded and noisy. Not kept up very well. No one to help you to your site if you get in late. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
To start this off I just want to thank the Owners/Managers of Pack Creek Campground! They offered us a Free Site for being military! We got there they showed us to our site and made sure we had everything that we needed. The spots were a little tight but nothing to really complain about. Since there was a spring storm that had rolled thru and we were not going to be able to get back into Colorado easily I asked the Manager if it would be alright if we stayed an extra night or 2 I offered to pay, but my money wasn't good. So we spent 4 nights for free. It is attached to a mobile home park but we spent more time away than actually there at the park. Even if they start charging for military I would stay again! Had to put a $1.00 in the nightly rate, but it was free for military and I believe $25 a night otherwise. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Overall this park isn't bad for this time of year. We were here during Moab's busy season. This was by far one of the cheaper places to stay in Moab for the time of year. The sites are a little close together. If you don't need hook-up's, I would suggest staying somewhere on the BLM campsites, which are really nice on the Colorado River. We have dogs so we needed AC, so we could leave them in the RV while we went to the National Parks. This park is conveniently located close to downtown Moab and the National Parks in the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again if I needed the AC hook up. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The creep factor in this facility is quite high due to deterioration and uncleanliness...bathrooms covered with cobwebs, ammonia smells, dirty faucets, etc. Lots of dust and leaves, no host or personnel around after hours. The only Wi-Fi is a "hotspot" in the laundry which is cold and dark. The reason I gave it a "3" is because the cable is good. Noise from the highway is loud due to 45 mph near this campground (30 mph in town). I overheard the owner state that this campground is the oldest in Moab. I cannot dispute that statement. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Could not fully pull into a "pull through" site due to low hanging tree branches which would have scraped the A/C. Fortunately we noticed this before there was damage. Had to be very careful driving in and out due to low branches along roadway. Big sign on highway indicated Wi-Fi was free, and it was, but was not told "Free Wi-Fi" was only available while parked in front of the office. Bummer. Staff was nice, and when I complained the following morning, they gave me a nice discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We really loved the Slickrock campground. It is very close to downtown but not to close to be in the middle of it all. The campground is a little worn but there are visible signs that the owner is updating services. The people here are the best by far the friendliest place we have stayed. If you want a laid back total relaxing campground this is it. I would highly recommend this campground and we will be back here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The good, this park has lots of shade. The bad, all of the shade is from cottonwood trees. It kinda reminds you of a nuclear winter with all the cotton blowing around; very dangerous if fire should start where all the cotton piles up. Also, it has a permanent section with residents always driving in and out way too fast, you'll have to wash you camper after a stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
First off, don't arrive in Moab on a Friday without a reservation. That is how we found ourselves here. Everything else in town was full. This is a very old, dusty, stinky, close, campground. To call it an RV park is a misnomer. Most campers are tenters with bikes, jeeps, and fourwheelers. The sites are approximately 4 feet apart. They allow campfires which are left smoldering at night and make sleeping without the windows closed and the AC on impossible. Did I mention AC? The power fluctuates with each RV joining the loop and you have to decide which is the worse, smelling the various odors while you try to sleep, or burn up the compressor on your AC. The restrooms/showers smelled! The staff were nice folks and the wi-fi worked only at the office. Would only stay here aqain if it was the last resort. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice people but the park is old and in much need of updating. Only 30 amp service and mine did not work. I had to tie in to the neighbor site to get power. Dirt and dusty interior roads. Wi-Fi free but would work only next to the office. Much better parks close by. I will not return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed in a camping cabin but left after 1 night because it was too noisy and dirty/dusty (our next door neighbors partied most of the night and got very obnoxious and everywhere you were it was busy and noisy). The cabins are not the typical KOA kind, they were made out of plywood with sad interior and look like they had never been cleaned, my allergies kicked in as soon as I went in. Also the bathrooms were in need of cleaning and repair and didn't seem to be gender specific (young adult men and women went in whatever side they pleased). The staff was very friendly and the hot tub/pool was nice but it was just wasn't pleasant. This campground is 1 mile from Moab, off the main road but not much road noise and had shade. We moved to Canyonlands campground (in town) and was very satisfied . We camped here in a Campground Cabin.
This wasn't one of the best we camped at on our tour of the West, but certainly we've seen a lot worse. The facilities were clean and the staff friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is not "Big Rig Friendly". It has small sites and the roads are narrow. The park was not very clean' but it appears that they were having some kind of off road type rally. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I have stayed at this park three times in the last two years and plan to stay at least one more before the year is out. It is by far one of the best places to stay in Moab. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful. There is ample parking even if you are pulling a trailer. Lots of shade under mature Cottonwood trees. Able to fill propane bottles on site. Will also make arrangements for the local attractions for free for you. I would have given this campground a 9 or 10 but the restrooms could use a little remodeling and the last time I stayed I could constantly hear the water park across the highways loud speaker. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We camped here for one night because it was recommended by the Jeep Crawlers. Will never stay again. They were rude. We have our services in a different area than most and needed to be a foot off their footprint. They got indignant: need to be within the confines of rocks and cannot make our own rules. Our levelers were broken which he said was our problem, so we tried to stay at the most level spot in our site. He told us we could leave but the office would not refund our money although no refund policy was ever shown. We were also insulted because we had Florida tags. I don't think the owner is aware of the hostility of his crew. Went across the street to the AOK for great home hospitality. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Clean campground just a few miles south of town. Gravel sites were well maintained and the staff was helpful and pleasant. Laundry area was very clean which made doing laundry not such a chore. We recommend this C/G to anyone visiting the Moab area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Campground is well maintained and the owners/staff helpful and accommodating. Laundry and restrooms were clean. The sites close to the road are level, but experience significant road noise (even inside our MH due to truck exhaust brakes on the downgrade road). The sites away from the road are much less level. I saw several motorhomes with wheels entirely off the ground so be prepared for levelng issues. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park. It was well maintained and easy in and out for out 40' motorhome. They were a little cranky about the grass, but other than that we had a nice stay. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park was very nice and located just south of town. Each site had a little strip of grass, picnic table and concrete patio. The park was well maintained and office had a lot of tourist information as well as offers to book tours, etc. We checked out several of the other RV parks in town while we were in Moab, and none were as nice as this one. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Although the site is well maintained, the managers are the most unfriendly I have ever experienced. I would never, ever recommend this site, especially if you have a dog. There are many better choices in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is an immaculate park, with nice sites under shady trees. The showers are excellent and the laundry facilities very nice. It is located south of town a bit, but still convenient to everything and quiet. Excellent cable and internet from our site. We would definitely stay here again. By the way, the City Market in town was a nice surprise, with great selections and prices. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Moab is a beautiful area and we had a great time hiking the area parks. We were very disappointed with Spanish Trail. A few things we look for in an RV Park are ample lot space, good pet walk, and a family atmosphere which we thought the Park had after reviewing their website. The pull thru lot we had was short for our 34’ 5th wheel and we had to park our truck across the back part of the drive, blocking our back view. The lot was extremely narrow. It did include a picnic table, but we refused to use it as it was situated next to the neighbor’s water and sewer hookup. The pet walk does not have lighting, so if you are out there at night, take a flashlight and watch out for the black pipe crossing the path – I tripped on it. There is also debris in the middle of the dog walk and a carcass in the back corner. When I asked if I could walk around the outside perimeter of the campground with my dog, as I am a walker, I was given a stern reply of “No” and was told to walk around and around the dog walk area only. I gave this campground a “1” because I didn’t feel the campground was family friendly – no activities, no pool, or place to have a campfire, or to sit a grill. The only place to sit outside was a confined space in the rear of the campground. This campground is definitely for the non-outdoors RVers or over nighter – we did not see any of our neighbors out and about. It is very controlled as I saw people watching the campground from the window in the office. Wow! I felt very uncomfortable – is this area safe or it is managed by control freaks? Would I stay here again – NO! Would I recommend this RV Park to anyone – NO! We discovered there are several RV parks in Moab, some that are not listed in Trailer Life, and look more to our liking. We will definitely be staying at one of the nicer RV Parks on our next visit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
10AM checkout. What kind of hospitality is that? Had to park the toad across their lot because they said it might be in the way of other campers. The park was near empty. I wanted to tell them off and forfeit our camping fee, but was too tired to look for another campground. The owner is ambitious (doing maintenance at 6AM) and grouchy. Facilities were spotless. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This RV park is a few minutes south of town, and across the street from a Shell fuel station and convenience store. We stayed here for two weeks. We can confirm that the managers run a tight ship, but they are professional and hard-working. We were grateful for that as the place was secure, well kept and maintained with good laundry facilities. They are off-road vehicle friendly, but you have to let them know in advance how many trailer/vehicle rigs you will be bringing so that they can arrange space for them. They are located only three blocks from Fred Hink's Arrowhead Motorsports operation in case you need dual sport/offroad motorcycle support. When the wind blows there is some dust, but that's what we expect in the desert. It's the desert, man. For the most part it is calm. There is some highway noise, but if you can get a space away from the road it is a bit quieter. We very much liked this place, appreciated the managers, and recommend it highly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is very nice park, the staff are friendly and helpful, sites are level, long and wide enough for big rigs. It is a few miles south of town (Moab) but off the road enough to be quiet. Excellent cable TV selection, good Wi-Fi, excellent lay out, plenty of room to maneuver and the site hook-ups layout was perfectly for easy and trouble free hook up. I'd give this park a "10" except for the price. I paid $46 per night, with the Good Sam 10% discount. They charge $10 more per night for a long RV. I'd have stayed longer if they had not done that. I'd still recommend this park especially if you don't have a 40 foot 5er. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
They run A tight ship here and it shows. Clean, clean, clean. Fast internet. Nice sites. Nice patch of weed free green grass for every site. Go ahead and take off your shoes. The only reason I didn't give them a 10 is that it is on the highway and therefore not too quiet. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park was clean and average. However when I go camping, I go to enjoy myself and have fun. If that is why you go, you'll want to choose another campground. I had a terrible experience with the staff here and it was absolutely unnecessary. I won't be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very clean, nice park with the rudest, most unhelpful staff we have ever encountered. Acted like your very presence was a huge drain on their daily lives. No matter how nice this place is we will never give these people another dime!!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was a clean & attractive park but I would never stay there again. We called ahead for a reservation and were asked if we had pets. We replied "yes" and were asked what size. We told them the weight; they never mentioned anything else about their pet policy. When we checked in, they made us read a statement regarding the policy and were told that they wanted folks to know ahead of time or else they could opt to move on. Although we thought it was a little restrictive that they didn't want pets pottying on the grass, we chose to stay there since they had a pet area. We are in the habit of cleaning up after our dog and think everyone else should too. However, when I took my dog to the pet area, I was appalled to find nothing but an open field with scrub and sagebrush...not one blade of grass....only rocks and sand. Thank goodness, my pet isn't too particular! We managed, but like another visitor mentioned, felt "watched". My husband and I joked that "the guard was on his rounds again". Not a friendly staff, and folks with pets & children should probably find another spot, if possible. Other amenities were fine. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Our favorite park in Moab. Nice level sites. Good TV, good Wi-Fi. Great views, and not dusty. Beautiful trees and great views from most sites. Our only complaint is that office personnel can be very rude sometimes. Still, we always stay here when in Moab. We would do so again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I have to agree with the other reviewers; I think the Staff at this park is very much on the demanding side, and not much on the understanding side. When checking in, I was repeatedly told that my furry kids (dogs), could only potty in the dog area. This is the area with the full trash cans. Yuk, what a mess. I was told that if the staff saw my dogs potty anywhere besides the dog area i would be asked to leave without a refund. I was made to feel that I was a second class customer because I dared to bring my dogs with me. I talked with several other RV owners who said that the park has new owners (don't know for sure). They said that the management attitude did not exist before. Most said they would not return. Overall the park is nice. I wasn't real crazy about the blowing Cottonwood blooms but that is minor. The Sites were sufficient size, and the hook ups were fine. We did not use the restrooms so can't comment on them. The laundry room was clean, however there were a few people in there just to use the WiFi because the Laundry is next to the Office and they could not get a signal at their site. This was my first time here; it will probably be my last also. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I recently had a horrible experience at the Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground in Moab, and because of this, and because of other reviewers comments, I would like to advise against choosing this as your place of stay. The management team ruined our trip to Moab, and we will never return. If you choose to stay here expect to be treated rudely and be lied to by the staff. They will ruin your vacation. The grounds were okay, though they didn't have horseshoe pits as advertised on their website. The WiFi was only accessible when sitting out front of the office. It didn't reach to our RV, though the managers told us it would. The showers were small and unkempt, don't believe the hype about "Moab's Best Showers", that's not true at all. The garbage cans in the pet area were overflowing with bags of dog-waste and it stunk up the whole RV park. There was a smell of sewage everywhere. When we pointed it out to the management team, they were extremely rude and defensive. Even as a last resort, don't stay here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Out of all the Recreational Parks we have had the pleasure of attending, this was the worst. The manager (Mrs.)was crabby and more like a Warden to start with. That was the first clue of an unhappy stay! The bathrooms were growing mold, and bugs, and needed a good cleaning. We had to ask to have the doggie garbage cans emptied. The Cottonwood Trees were loaded with blowing cotton and tent caterpillars which were being eaten by birds and of course the birds left their telltale signs all over everything. Finally we were joined there by our daughter and son-in-law with prior permission of the "Warden". After the first nite she claimed we were sub-renting to them and told us to get out. I offered to pay full price for the extra vehicle but she would have nothing to do with it and wanted us out. I believe the circumstances completely confused the poor woman and she didn't know what to do other than run us out! Hope this helps prevent some other poor soul from a sour stay!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We had reservations for a travel trailer, 2 nights, 30 amps. Was told we would be in a shaded pull thru. We got there, checked in and paid 2 nights, and went to our site to find it a BACKWARDS back in, e.g. the hookups were on the wrong side. Also, it was wide open without any tree in sight! Went to office, elderly lady manager said "someone should have told you it was for a nose-in Class C". We asked about the nice shaded pull-thru across the drive and was told it was only for 75 foot rigs. We got a refund and left, went to Canyonlands RV park and enjoyed it! WE DID NOT STAY AT THIS PARK. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed for one month, so the nightly rate is much lower. This is a nice park overall. Clean bathroom, fairly leveled sites and enough room to get in and out with big rig. Our main complaints are the customer service and wi-fi connection. The couple who checked us in was really nice, but when we needed help another day it was a different couple and they weren't really that helpful. It made us feel unwelcome for lack of better description, which I think it is extremely important to have a pleasant staff to service people on vacation, not to mention full timers like us. Wi-fi is truly a hit and miss, we full time and work from our rig, it is essential for us to have reliable wi-fi. They told us we could get it anywhere in the park, not true. They were able to move us to a different location where we could get signal at least. But, their system was not designed to handle high volume use. So have your wi-fi card ready if you need it or you will have to go downtown Moab and sit at one of the wi-fi hotspots. We probably will spend more money next time staying at Portal RV instead. I think the facility in Portal RV is a bit nicer and friendlier staff. PS: We are also big on recycling, with the whole Moab having recycling program available, Spanish Trail did not even have recycling bins is another negative point we decided to give them. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We parked in the 2nd row upfront, with enough room for our big rig and car. Road noise during the day, but didn’t hear any during the night. These are gravel sites with a narrow concrete walkway. My Verizon cell phone worked fine. There is a charge for RV washing. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed two nights here while visiting Arches National Park and other sites in the area. We had hoped to stay at Deadhorse Point State Park, but it was full. This park is clean and neat, but really nothing special. As some others have said there is road noise, but it is not too bad and tapers off significantly at night. It appeared the owners were doing major improvements to the restrooms, but since I did not use them I can't comment on what was going on. The two things we didn't like about this park were: 1. although the owners brag that there is a tree at every site, most of the trees are quite small and don't really provide any shade to speak of, which would be very welcome in this hot environment and 2. as others have mentioned, the pull through sites are quite short. Our rig is not particularly long (32')and our toad is a compact car and we still had to park it crosswise behind our rig. The short sites would not prevent us from staying here again, but I think next time we will look for a park with more shade. Also, if we go at a cooler time of year, we will stay at one of the very scenic BLM campgrounds along the Colorado River. (800) 787-2751 We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have camped here since 1999. This is the first time with the new owners They were very nice & helpful. We love this campground! We camped for 5 days.. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Locate in the industrial section of town, so views are not as pristine as other locations, but still nice. Located on a regionally-sloping ground, but sites are graded to be level. Good widths and lengths for any size rig. Road noise IS NOT a problem-we are in the front row and can't hear anything. The managers are very nice and helpful. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park is very clean, site we got had good shade which was great because it was near 100 degrees. Dog walk area is big but is at the other end of the park than our site. If you have dogs you might want to ask for a site at the end with the dog walk area as they do not allow dogs to do their thing at your campsite. They had both cable with around 80 channels and their wifi works great. The need to repaint their sign. It is faded and gives a bad first impression. Good location just south of town, gas station with diesel right across the street. Most sites are pull through and have enough room to park our truck. We have stayed here twice and would recommend it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very neat RV park with wide streets, and wide and deep sites, most with excellent views. Park is well-stoned so dust is at a minimum. Good ingress and egress to the park. Wi-Fi was excellent although cable TV was fuzzy on many channels. Probably the best RV park in Moab. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wide roads and wide spaces. Laundry very good. WiFi was good - we were close to the office. Road noise was very loud in the front row. Well maintained campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed for 7 nites, paid for 6 with 7th free. Excellent campground, glorious views, very clean and neat. I stayed in the rearmost row and did not notice any road noise, site itself was level. There is so much to do around here did not need anything but the space to park. And for that, this was the best park I have stayed in,in two years. Great pet walk area. Would stay here again anytime. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The park is clean and appears well maintained. However, the sites at the back are not level, front to back. Using one of those sites would be very difficult. We ended up in the front row and the road noise was the worst we've dealt with in a very long time. The sites are quite close together and earlier comments are correct--while they are pullthrus and can accommodate big rigs, if your rig is large (ours is 36'), you must unhook and park behind your picnic table. We had to move the picnic table in order to do so as we drive a one ton pick up with a long bed. We didn't use the WiFi because there is good cell phone service in the area and our air card was faster. We would not recommend this park to others unless they were desperate. It was expensive for what you get. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
If you like road noise, this is the place for you. And it goes ALL NIGHT. We were on the front row, so maybe farther back it would be ok, but I don't think so. Otherwise level sites, some grass, four miles out of town. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Each site has a grassy lawn, large tree and table. The pull-thru sites are well-spaced. Overall appearance and cleanliness is very good. Some highway noise, but very little. Staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the dog walk path which was always clean. WiFi was available most of the time but down some during our 3-day stay. Convenient to Moab. Will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Pull throughs aren't really suitable for staying hooked up. Sites are fairly level and wide but with little visual separation between sites. Others have noted the less than friendly office help and she's still there! However the park is better than most in Moab and deserves a visit. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great WIFI (free) and large mostly level sites. The nearby restaurant is now reopened and is within walking distance. Great cable tv. Downside: 1. The attitude of the owner as mentioned in previous posts. 2. The dog walk is at the far south end of the CG and the south side appears to be reserved just for tour groups. 3. We have stayed there for 4 years and do not plan to use it again. This year we used 5 sites, down from the 9 or 10 sites we used in 2004. We had some in our group that absolutely refused to stay there. 4. We saw no tents, but the tent area was overgrown as was the dog walk. They might as well turn the tent area at the north end into a second dog walk. We never saw any children or anything for children to do in the 4 years we have stayed there. Others have stated it is a family type campground. If you only wish to stop for one night, insist on a site long enough that you do not have to unhitch. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I am amending my post above to cause the pull-thru response to flip back to "yes". If you have long rig and only plan to stay one night and not un-hitch, you should explain this when you make your reservation. Our group used 8 sites in 2004 and we were all told to "pull in, unhitch, and park your tow vehicle or toad, behind your picnic table. I was back again in 2005 with a longer rig, 53' total, and I don't think my site was the advertised 60' deep. All the sites seem about the same size and are wide and very nice and easy to get in and out of, but I don't believe my rig would have fit had I not un-hitched. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We have stayed there twice in 2004 and 2005 for a total of 13 nights in a travel trailer. Everything is very clean. I don't think I ever saw a tent, or childern. I dispute what they call pull-through sites. You pull in to unhook your rig and then drive your vehicle out and park behind your picnic table. If you have a long rig and just wish to spend one night without unhooking, I don't believe they can accommodate more than about a 45' rig. There is nothing open within walking distance except for a Shell gas station. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Stayed here a week. Previous visits were in '95, '97 & '99. Laundry room is clean with plenty of equipment. Gravel sites with concrete patios & grass lawn. Sprinkler system goes off each night so outdoor furniture must be put away each evening. What staff lacks in diplomacy, the park makes up for. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Most Moab parks are located along busy highways and this one is no exception.Try to get as far away from the entrance as possible, but all sites are best enjoyed by those who simply have to hear continuous highway noise. The staff was less than friendly the last time we visited but, in fairness, it was a very busy weekend around the Easter Jeep Safari. Overall, the park is an OK overnight stop, but better options exist in Moab for longer stays. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Gravel and dirt sites that are fairly level. The park is clean and facilities are well maintained. The park is several miles south of Moab facing Hwy 191 so there is some road noise, but not bad. They do offer arranged tours, jeep and river, from the park. This is a fine park but there is very little to do at the park itself. It is really just a place to park the RV while you go find something to do. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful park with view of the Lasal Mountains. The owners are very friendly & helpful. We stay there at least once a year. We camped here in a camper.
This park is in the National Park system which is about 34 miles northwest of Moab. We were actually going to stay at Deadhorse State Park and couldn't get in and were redirected to this Park, what luck. While there is no power, water or dump come prepared its a great place to have access to the south rim trail, Shafer trail and many more 4WD roads. As far as the park there is ten spots and 1 and 10 are the only ones that are big rig friendly but what a neat place to stay, we were here three days. We camped here in a Motorhome.
