Tip for Other Campers:
Cedar Key is not too commercialized. Several good restaurants in the area. Reminds me of a country town nestled against the backdrop of the flats of the Gulf of America.
Tips from campers about Cedar Key RV Resort
- dr911943 There is a fuel station at the corner to the main road and Cedar Key is ony 7 miles further past the turnoff to the Resort. Robinson's Seafood is the closest restaurant to the Resort and the mullet dip is great. They have all you can eat fried shrimp, crab cakes and sea bass for $15. Pass on the crab cakes and go for the shrimp and sea bass. In town there's Tony's, 83 West and Steamers Clam Bar and just before entering Cedar Key is the Hideaway Tiki Bar. They have a multitude of Colada drinks - blueberry, strawberry, key lime, banana, etc.4 years ago Cedar Key RV Resort
- Jan Orlando Bat House at the Lower Suwannee Wildlife Refuge is FUN! Take 347 to Headquaters road, follow paved road about a mile and the bat house will be on the left. Small parking lot. Take lots of bug spray. Bats will come out at Sunset. There are 30k bats that live in the bat house. 2nd st. cafe has a nice menu and good food. I have the Smoked salmon BLT and is was delicious. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. 18 miles to Chiefland with restaurants and shopping. There is a dollar general and a small grocery within 5 miles of campground.11 months ago Cedar Key RV Resort

Tip for Other Campers:
Not much to do outside of the campground. There is a nice little gas station/general store right next to the campground that was extremely handy. Also a Dollar General right down the road.
