Tip for Other Campers:
Fishing at the pond on-site. There is also a hiking trail around the lake & they have a beach with a lifeguard on duty. You are also about 20 minutes from Golconda, IL which is on the Ohio River. More hiking trails around the corner at Dixon Springs.

Tip for Other Campers:
Garden of The Gods is about 40 minute drive, with Shawnee NF is about an hour. The host suggested a few restaurants around the area, but we didn't leave our site. Plenty of outdoor recreation activities are available in the area.
