“Peaceful and lovely in the lower section ”

After some reservation hiccups, we are settled into site 153 for a week. Cell signal is challenging throughout the park. We do get signal with insty connection on Verizon. Excellent bird watching...

Go to haha tonka state park. Very nice hikes. Tons of shopping in Osage beach. Excellent BBQ at Half Sauced Barbeque in Osage Beach. You have to try the Burnt End Nachos!

Tips from campers about Lake of the Ozarks State Park
- MissouriBird The campground is 10 - 15 miles from all of the restaurants ( numerous fast-food, family dining and white-table cloth dining) and stores in nearby Osage Beach. Therefore, be sure to have your fridge and pantry well-stocked before coming into the park. Osage Beach has a wide variety of entertainment options; miniature golf, water parks, go-carts, horse-back riding, bars and lounges, etc. The entire area is focused on providing family fun.2 months ago Lake of the Ozarks State Park

Tip for Other Campers:
A ways from town and the camp store was only open on weekends so bring your own firewood, ice, etc. Also the caves were closed for the season.
