Tips from campers about Amarillo, TX
- Jay50 The Cody Walmart is the closest to YNP. We restocked our groceries there and bought several folding tray tables, which came in very handy. We had no trouble getting permission to camp overnight there.3 months ago Ponderosa Campground

- napunani Do Not Miss! Heart Mountain WWII National Historic Landmark. 15 mikes from campground. Very interesting Japanese concentration camp. Dollar Tree, Tractor Supply and Walmart less than one mile from campground. 8th Street at the Ivy Restaurant. Across the highway from this campground in the Best Western. Very good. Roosters Cafe for breakfast. Large portions. Also serves lunch but very limited lunch menu.6 months ago Ponderosa Campground
