Tips from campers about Kerrville-Schreiner Park
- Atvr43 Steamworks Brewery is a great place to have a drink and some good food. Also, The Diamond Belle Saloon in the Strater Hotel is a neat place to go. Built in the late 1800s. Our lunch there was very good. The Durango to Silverton train ride is a must do. Such beautiful views as the aspens were in full color. Silverton is a neat old mining town with shops and restaurants the train stops at and turns around for the return to Durango. Which allows you a couple of hours to eat lunch and shop. If you dont want the train ride round trip you can ride the train up and take the bus back to Durango. Durango has trails to walk or bike and a botanical garden at the library.6 months ago Alpen Rose RV Park
- Jeffgitta Take a day trip to Silverton and Ouray. Beautiful drive on the Million Dollar Highway. Durango is a really neat town. Especially Downtown. Lots of breweries and eateries.3 months ago Alpen Rose RV Park
- The RT Bus Durango Hot Springs is worth the visit and it's less than 3 miles from the park. There are about a dozen different pools with temperatures ranging from 90-107 degrees. We didn't opt to do into the "cold plunge" pool at 46 degrees. They also have a bar with various alcoholic beverages available.6 months ago Alpen Rose RV Park
