- Travelincouple I would avoid this place. I would also try to avoid I-10. The construction is endless and our unit took a pounding on these roads and bridges. Lanes are narrow and it is a constant parade of 18 wheelers. This was not a fun experience. I am an experienced driver having driven oversized vehicles most of my life. Very nice sites. Level concrete pads with large ,level,gravel site with aluminum tables and a fire pit. 5g 3 bars ATT, 1 bar Verizon. We camped at Mother Neff State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Heading to Mother Neff from DFW area, in a 40’ motorhome with tow vehicle. Don’t want to go to through Waco because want to avoid the road construction. Anyone know a better route without low bridges, etc?...
