Great little campground for overnight. Marguerite, manager, is wonderful and lives on site. No amenities but close to Hwy 67 , Dollar General and diesel. We drove 10 miles up the road to Searcy to eat...

Tips from campers about Shady Oaks RV Park and MHC
- TH travelers Clifton Jail is kind of cool to see. A ride to Alpine on 191 is nice. There is a pull off north of the mine that you can check out. It has a few static displays of mining-related items. A drive out the Black Hills Back Country Byway is a nice way to spend a few hours. The road is in decent shape until you get about 7 miles from the far end of the road, then it is a bit rougher. Traffic on 191 was stopped a few times a day by trains.1 year ago North Clifton RV Park
- MValle The Morenci mine is amazing. Coronado Trail was a beautiful drive, 2hrs to Hannagan meadow for lunch. The jail in the side of the mountain a must see. Michelle's in Morceni was great for lunch. PJs for breakfast.2 years ago North Clifton RV Park
- Kevin OBrien Groceries and propane are available in adjacent town of Morenci. There is an active train station adjoining the park (but far enough away that noise is not an issue). It handles the traffic in and out of the Morenci mine.3 years ago North Clifton RV Park

Tip for Other Campers:
There is no on-site manager. You have to go to Shady Oaks website to find out the price. We had to ask someone how to register. The sites were a lot wider than normal. The new owners just recently redid these sites and are in the process of redoing those on the other side of the park.
Nightly Rate: $20 USD
This park is mostly long term residents in older units. There were 5 spaces for transients of which one had electrical problems. We came in late and paid the next morning. The manager was nice...
