“Wide open spaces”

Lots of room and no one else there. Garbage cans available. We camped at Rancho Santa Ynes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
Check out the cave paintings and amazing boulder fields to the North-stay a night or two. Most people blow by in too much of a hurry. Stay two nights and explore.
As others have said, this is not much more than a boondocking spot, but its one of the only places to stay within the national park and is in a very scenic part of the park with large boulders mixed...

Tip for Other Campers:
Great photo ops in the parklands surrounding Cataviña. Also a wonderful place for stargazing. Very dark skies!
