“Great Location”
Nightly Rate: $45 USD
Nice State Park with adequate facilities. Conveniently located for access to Monterey and to points north. We camped at New Brighton State Beach in a Travel Trailer.

Point Lobos is a don't miss hike. Bought fresh fish off the dock in Moss Landing; also, did a great whale watch tour with Blue Ocean out of Moss Landing. Wilder Ranch has Mt Biking trails-Engelman was pretty; Wilder Ridge was tougher and went by the local landfill. Gayles Bakery on Bay Street - feast for the eyes and tummy.Shadowbrook restaurant for ambiance and access via funicular.

We loved our stay here, but it was because of the location and not the campground itself. There are no hook ups, however generators are allowed. This California State Park was not maintained well....

THINGS TO DO: Wilder Ranch State Park - a short 20 minute drive up highway 1 has a great 6 mile loop bluff trail for walking and biking. Sunset State Beach has a much larger and nicer beach than New Brighton. Only 15 minutes from the camground. EATERIES: Buzzo's Pizza. GROCERIES; Nob Hill, and Sunnyside Produce market which is next door to Buzzo's.
