If you walk a few feet towards the edge of the campground you reach battle creek which has fishing and tubing, and down the access road across the highway there are fishing and swimming holes, a waterfall you can swim behind etc. Mineral is a mile down the road, walking and biking distance if you feel like some exercise. Has one general store and I believe the gas station is out of business last time I was up.
