Tips from campers about Ancient Redwoods RV Park

  • RVL891187 Some of our favorite places for food and adult beverages: Neighborhood Beer House (say hello to our favorite waitresses Tanya and Jade), Sunset Grille, The New Taste of Dandridge (say hello to DD and Carrol Gene) and Monteray's. If you like redneck-Biker Bar's: Dean's Place (right down the hill), say hello to the new owners, Freddy, Sarah, and Gaines; nice friendly folks. Audrey's Sports Bar ( next exit west-across the 4 lane from Luvs truck stop in Newport). Try the famous Audrey Burger and chicken livers. Go to exit 8 on I-81 and visit Rod and Sherry at The New Buds Sports Bar, get a t-shirt, and ask them about their trivia and other activities. The kitchen is open on Fri & Sat, and free hot dogs on Sun. Oh, and tell them Donna and Pat recommended you visit them.

  • RVL891187 Lots of chain restuarants and fast food about 2 mins away. Monterrey's is a favorite Mexican place in the shopping center with Marshall's. Janice's Diner and The Woodshed are famous for affordable-homestyle cooking, also minutes away. Carvers Apple Orchard has a fresh food restuarant and treasure trove of fruits, vegetables, candies, bird houses, bowls, and homemade jars of almost everything, including jams and local honey. In addition, Cosby Campground is the gateway to many hiking trails and the Mt. Sterling fire tower is on the same road across the western NC state line.
