  fbingha Indian Cove, while in Joshua Tree NP, has no direct access to all of the sights that you want to see within the park. You have to spend 45 mins to an hour driving around to another entrance to get the main part of the park. I would suggest camping within the main part of the park if you can.

  PreCambrian Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree have shopping essentials and are quite close (within 10 miles).

  Davishouse2 We rented a car in Yucca Valley and used that to drive around National Park. It was mid week in early June and not crowded at all
