“Quiet and relaxing.”
Nightly Rate: $38 USD
Small campground with 30 sites. All sites had water/electric, no sewer hook up. Bath house was on the hill. Was clean with shower and washer/dryer. Fishing, walking trails and playground for the kids....

There is an old mill at the dam spillway. They have tours on Saturday at 3pm. Sandersville is not far away if you need anything. If your GPS says you are there and you don't see anything, keep going. Ours said we had arrived when we hit the edge of the park not the check-in station. If looking for a church, Bethlehem Baptist was a friendly place to go.

Loved camping here. Amazing views by the lake, birds singing, and not a lot of cell signal -- a great getaway! We camped at Hamburg State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips from campers about Hamburg State Park
- 2 Rocking Chairs Go swimming or just relax for a day in your chair at the CG beach. Eat at PaPaw’s BBQ on 325 right before 129- it is AWESOME – everything fresh and homemade not supplier crap. The Brisket you can cut with a fork – suggest Hot Sauce not the hottest (goes up to Nitro). Make sure it is PaPaw’s & not the guy next door who also does BBQ but subpar there. Grocery shop at Ingalls in Blairsville.5 years ago Poteete Creek

Tip for Other Campers:
Bring everything you may need, nearest town is like 15 miles away. Cell service is limited with Verizon being somewhat available, T-Mobile is non-existent. It's kind of a double edged sword, the remotes makes it great, but that's what makes it a challenge if you forgot something....
