Tips from campers about Blackwell Island RV Park

  • Travelin Suites There is a leash free dog beach not far from the park. It's called the Riverstone Dog Park. Tubb's Hill is downtown and has a great trail with views of the lake. At the end of your hike grab lunch at the Buoy overlooking the lake and marina. The fish tacos, and veggie burger are great! The french fries are perfect. For dinner check out Crafted downtown. For an awesome bike ride go east on the 90 to the Coeur d'Alene trail. It's a 173 mile paved bike path. We saw Moose, a bull, cow, and two calves, Pheasant, Grouse, and an assortment of other wildlife. Harrison is a great little relaxed town at the south end of the lake. Grab some lunch at One Shot Charlie's.
  • Johnny_Mac Bring bikes and/or kayaks and bring your propane fire pit because wood not allowed.
  • MommaBriggs Coeur d'Alene is a nice but busy town. The lake is beautiful. They had an arts festival while we were there. We really enjoyed the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene bike trail. Took the trail from Plummer to Harrison. Drove scenic 97 to Harrison. Another worthwhile trip.
