Not too many choices for places to go or eat near by. We traveled to Corning (8 or 9 miles away) for dinner at Applebee's.
Tips from campers about Sunflower Acres Family Campground
- AT hiker There is not a lot of good grocery options super close but Sherman to the north or McKinney to the south (30-45 minutes) has just about anything you could need.5 months ago Good Shepherd RV Park

Sites are grass, fairly level. Some under trees some in full sun. Very nice people in the office. Half the campground seemed to be seasonal, mostly in one section of the campground. Transient sites...

Tip for Other Campers:
About 25 minutes from Corning. Corning Museum of glass is fantastic, lots of hands on things to do. Corning's Gaffer district for food and drink, also free concerts in the square. Close to the Finger lakes for winery tours. Little known gem is the Glenn H Curtis Museum in Hammondsport NY, approx 45 minutes from campground. Lots of Wineries, Micro breweries...

Nice place for an overnight stay. Very quiet. Dirt sites were fine during our stay, however could be a problem if it rained. Decent TV reception. No AT & T cell signal. Free wi-fi for 15 minute trial....
