Tip for Other Campers:
Downtown Bastrop is only minutes away. Shops, bookstore, coffee shop and Maxines Diner are all on Main Street and highly recommended if you want to explore the area. H-E-B and Wal-Mart are only 5 minutes away.
Tips from campers about South Shore Park on Lake Bastrop
- CTS09 This is near Corning NY and the must See Corning Glass Museum (a full day visit) Buy the two day 2 museum ticket and also see the Rockwell Family Museum (not Norman Rockwell ) and eat in old town Corning. A nice place to stay to also do a day trip up to the finger lakes wine county. (50 miles north)5 months ago Ives Run

Absolutely loved this place!! Its peaceful beautifully shaded area. Quiet, charming and clean!We would definitely stay again! We camped at South Shore Park on Lake Bastrop in a Fifth Wheel.
