Relax by the fire !!!! Enjoy the peace and quiet !!!!. Blue Ridge Parkway close by. It's about a 30 min drive to major stores or restaurants. So make sure you bring what you need. Tip for Other Campers:
There is a onsite store, which is decently stocked for a campstore, but do plan on bringing all your food and supplies, it is 30 minutes to the closest anything. There is not much in Ferrum, but 10 minutes further in Rocky Mount there is everything that you need.
Tips from campers about Deer Run Campground
- Mermidon If you leave the campground, be sure to have your mirror tag to prove you are staying in the park. Apparently other people try to slip into staff parking spaces for the amusement park.
