- Jay50 The Cody Walmart is the closest to YNP. We restocked our groceries there and bought several folding tray tables, which came in very handy. We had no trouble getting permission to camp overnight there.3 months ago Ponderosa Campground

“Sites very close together”

Neighbors sewer dump six feet from my door. Even less to picknik table. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Buffalo bill museum is a must see also trail town and a great cowboy dinner show. The people here are awesome

Tip for Other Campers:
The Beartooth Scenic Highway is a fantastic drive. We followed it up with the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway, which was also excellent. It is a full day of driving, but it is unforgettable. There are several fun spots to grab a beer and do some shopping.
